Just as Jesus paused to power up, we too must learn to retreat in order to refuel our spirit. The world is noisy; it clamors for our attention. Yet, as Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Silence can be a sanctuary where our hearts are recharged, allowing us to face life’s battles with renewed vigor. Mark 1:35 says, "And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed." Jesus took time to pray.
