From A Glossary of the People, Places, and Events of Alkyon The Harrowers— A coalition of monster hunters, with guild halls spread across the continent. Their stated mission is to preserve the peace of civil society and clear the way for settlers and farmers. Each guild hall has its own leadership and rules; some deal only with fellow Harrowers, while others post bounties publicly and act as a liaison between client and hunter. Whether for members or freelancers, Harrower contracts are usually not very lucrative—the guild prides itself on accepting contracts on behalf of the less fortunate who might not otherwise have recourse, and its mission is a moral one rather than a financial one.
