At both the European Union level and in individual member states, intensive debate continues on transformation pathways, structural barriers, and the opportunities that the transition towards sustainable food systems presents.Prof. Silvia Scaramuzzi will give a talk entitled "Mapping Food Systems Research and Innovation Needs and Gaps in Europe", discussing the state of research and gaps in the European approach to food systems innovation. Prof. Emil Erjavec will deliver a speech entitled "Is the Food System Transition Ignored in Central and Eastern Europe?
