If you're listening to this on a Sunday morning, or maybe you're catching a breath before the week really picks up, I want you to know that taking this time for yourself isn't indulgent. It's necessary. So let's settle in together. Find a comfortable seat, somewhere that feels supportive. Maybe you're on your couch with coffee, or tucked into bed, or even in your car before the day begins. Wherever you are, that's exactly where you're supposed to be. Close your eyes gently, or soften your gaze downward. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Good. Now, let's start with something simple. Breathe in through your nose for a count of four, hold it for a moment, and exhale through your mouth for a count of six. That longer exhale is the secret sauce here—it signals your nervous system that everything's okay. Let's do that three times together. In for four... hold... and out for six. Again.
