| 8/3/26 | 366| The Leadership Reset You Keep Postponing and Why You Should Make it a Priority Now | A leadership reset doesn't wait for burnout to make the case for it. It's a scheduled recalibration, sometimes a defined season, sometimes an hour carved out over a month, built to look at what's working, what's stopped working, and where you actually want to go, whether this season is falling apart or things have never been better. EPISODE OVERVIEW I had a different episode planned for today. I scrapped it. This one is about the decision to set something down on purpose, four weeks before anything forces the decision for me, in the middle of a season that includes a son leaving for college, a daughter starting her junior year, and real momentum in the business that makes stepping back feel almost irrational. This isn't for the leader who's already burned out. It's for every leader, whether things are going well right now or not. WHAT YOU'LL HEAR The difference between a vacation and a real recalibration Why the best time to reset is before you think you need one What this season is actually asking of me, and maybe of you LEADERSHIP PATTERN TO NOTICE There is a version of leadership that treats stillness as something to be earned first. Rest gets scheduled for after the goal, after the quarter, after things calm down, except things rarely calm down on their own. This has nothing to do with how close you are to burning out. The leaders who wait for permission usually get it from exhaustion instead of intention, and by then, the reset is not a choice anymore. It is damage control. SIT WITH THIS What could you set down for a season, on purpose, before something forces you to? WHAT'S COMING NEXT I'll be back in September with more intention behind it, and likely some new voices in the room. This episode names what happens when a strategy built for leading ten people meets the reality of leading two hundred, and what’s really underneath the signals a leader sends without realizing it. If your best instincts have started costing you at this level, this episode speaks directly to that. | 8m 19s | ||||||

| 3/30/26 | 348| It's Lonely at the Top. That's Not a Problem. That's the Process. | Senior leaders don’t talk about the grief that comes with success. The relationships that shifted. The version of themselves they left behind. The quiet weight of a life that looks different than they pictured. In this episode, Executive Leadership Strategist and Advisor Tami Imlay names what most leaders are carrying without language for it — and why examining it is the most important leadership work you’ll ever do. One question at the end of this episode will change what you do on Monday morning. | 14m 34s | ||||||
| 3/23/26 | 347| You Already Have the Authority. Use It. | You already have the authority. This episode is about the moment you stop waiting to use it. | 9m 51s | ||||||
| 3/16/26 | 346| When Caring Too Much Starts to Get in the Way of Your Leadership | Most leaders step into leadership because they care about people and the environments they create. But over time, that same care can quietly begin shaping leadership decisions in ways leaders don’t always notice. In this short episode, Tami explores a pattern she sees repeatedly with high-performing leaders and why the very quality that made them strong leaders can sometimes make leadership feel heavier than it should. | 8m 38s | ||||||
| 3/9/26 | 345| “You Just Need Clarity.” (The Leadership Advice That Isn’t Helping) | “You just need clarity.” It’s the most common piece of leadership advice — and one of the least explained. In this episode, Tami explores why many leadership challenges that appear to be communication problems, slow execution, or team dependency are actually clarity problems in disguise. When leaders understand what is driving their decisions, direction stabilizes and teams move faster. | 7m 11s | ||||||
| 3/2/26 | 344| Why I Do This Work — And Why It Matters Now More Than Ever | You didn’t get to this level by accident. But something has shifted — and leadership feels heavier than it should. In this episode, Tami Imlay shares the personal story that shaped her conviction about how leaders lead: what it costs to perform the role instead of lead from it, why decision drag is the signal most high-performers miss, and what rebuilding from the inside out actually looks like. No framework. No fix. Just the foundation — and it will change how you hear everything else. | 9m 36s | ||||||
| 2/23/26 | 343| The Real Reason Your Decisions Don’t Hold | You made the call — and it was the right one. So why are you still replaying it? If you’re decisive in the room but carrying decisions long after the meeting ends, this episode will name what’s actually happening underneath. It’s not hesitation. It’s not perfectionism. It’s not burnout. It’s decision drag — and it’s often driven by an operating system built in a season where you had something to prove. | 7m 49s | ||||||
| 2/16/26 | 342| When Leadership Feels Heavier Than It Should | You’re not burned out. If you’re still performing, still leading, still carrying the weight — but decisions feel heavier than they used to — this isn’t collapse. It’s friction. In this episode, Tami introduces the concept of decision drag and explains why many high-performing senior leaders mislabel internal misalignment as burnout. If you’ve outgrown the version of leadership that got you here, this conversation will help you name it — and begin to recalibrate. | 13m 31s | ||||||
