Gary and Phoebe are adapting to their new lives as parents, especially as they go through the sleepless nights stage, as Michael seems to be grizzly through the night. Phoebe orders Gary to take Michael out for a late night walk in his pushchair in an attempt to settle him. Gary is playing the ‘sickness’ card as he tries to convince Yvonne that he was too poorly to go to the job interview that Yvonne had arranged for him. While back in the 40’s, there are no fake illnesses, just a serious illness, as Phoebe is hospitalised with pneumonia, leaving Gary worried for her life, which will see him go to extreme lengths to make her better again. The Sparrows have an unexpected guest turn up at their door, after Ron has been kicked out by Stella. Things get even worse for Ron on the marriage front, and he needs Gary more than ever before. Self-centred Gary would rather accuse Ron of being a jealous friend, as it seems some forged banknotes back in the 40’s, have Gary at the centre of a counterfeit money scam. Gary accuses Ron of printing shoddy fakes, just because Gary has two successful relationships, and Ron has none.
