At the mid-point of the season it looked as if ACC men’s basketball had re-emerged while the women were not quite up to snuff. Never, ever judge a book by it’s cover applies liberally in this instance. The conference women are demonstrating their prowess with North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia, Louisville and Duke all moving forward in the NCAA Tournament. Stanford and Cal have moved into the Quarterfinals of the WBIT with wins over Quinnipiac and Kansas State respectively. Duke moves into the Sweet 16 with a win over TCU and will face St. John’s who nipped Kansas, 67-65.
