About this episode
Tim Murray provides insights on how to read the book of Revelation responsibly.
All of the Bible is God's word to us, Revelation is no exception to this! On Sunday 19th April Tim gave us a primer on the book of Revelation, ahead of the study evenings that were starting that coming week. The responsible way to read any book of the Bible, not just Revelation, is to ask, 'what kind of literature/writing it is?' and, 'how would the symbolism/metaphors/images have been understood by the people it was originally written to/for?' Remember that the Bible was written for us , but not to us ! And the whole point is to hear what the Bible is saying to us, not to impose our view onto it!
