Speaker: Robert Lee Drawing Near to God Because of Jesus, we are no longer far from God—we’ve been brought near by His blood (Ephesians 2:13). When the temple veil was torn from top to bottom, it wasn’t just a moment in history—it was an invitation. What once separated humanity from God has been removed, opening the way back to intimacy with Him, like a return to the Garden. But while every believer is near to God, not everyone experiences that nearness the same way. The difference is faith—trusting God at His word and choosing to look to Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). Faith doesn’t come from striving; it comes from hearing. As we listen to the words of Christ, read Scripture aloud, and confess truth with our mouths, our faith grows (Romans 10:17). Confession isn’t just for salvation—it’s central to a vibrant, ongoing relationship with God. When we declare who He is and what He’s done, grace is released to transform us. True worship engages our whole being—heart, soul, mind, and strength. Scripture invites us to express our faith outwardly: to sing, declare, lift our hands, and give thanks (Ephesians 5:19–20).
