The message emphasizes that believers are called to walk worthy of their calling by putting off the old life and embracing the righteousness that comes through Christ (Ephesians 4:21 –26; 5:3–13). As we grow in God's Word, we are continually shaped into the people He has called us to be. We are also reminded of our value to God, that we are His inheritance, His joy, and members of His family through Christ (Hebrews 2:11 ; Romans 8:29 ). The same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us, empowering us to fulfill God's purpose for our lives (Romans 8:11 ).
