Astral Projection Podcast

In my years of having out-of-body experiences I have participated in many what are often called ‘astral rescues’. Some people when they die remain stuck in a sort of trauma loop and replay time after time what happened to them until another being can get through to them to help them out of their self-made world. Some people don’t even realise they have died, often because their death has been sudden and unexpected, the following experience is one of these. I am dreaming I am in my cellar, I have recently cleared out this space and made it into a sacred space where I meditate and play my sound therapy instruments, my energy is there. However, although I call it a dream, it doesn’t really feel like a dream, I think I am already out-of-body but not very aware at first. Then I suddenly feel an energy behind me, it feels like heavy energy, and I have a hard time turning around. I try to say ‘What’s this all about?’ but it is difficult to get the words out I make a real effort then wake myself up while saying the words. I go back to sleep and find myself back in the cellar, this time I am aware and know I am out-of-body. I see a young woman with pigtails, she wants me to follow her. I go with her and fly through the little window that goes to the garden. I fly to the left and I feel a being near me who is trying to distract me from what I am doing, I push it away with a flick of my hand and arm. I find myself in a place with a young man in front of me, the name ‘Murphy’ comes to my mind, he has been killed in a bike accident but doesn’t know he has died. I try to explain so he can move on. Around him I see several dead relatives and I try to tell him to look around, that he is among people who have already died. He then points out a pizza bar where his friends are working, he tells me that his friends own the pizza place and he says ‘They are not dead so how can I be.’ I go over to the pizza bar, and the couple tell me they aren’t doing any business, they are making pizza that is not being eaten. I tell the young man to think about that, ‘Why is no one eating the pizza?’ I tell him it’s because no one in this place has a physical body so no one needs to eat, I tell him the pizza place and the couple running it are thought forms and not really there, just projections. This seems to convince him to look at the anomalies and become more aware. I don’t remember any more but I believe that once the young man started to question what was around him this helped him move on and maybe his relatives waiting for him could finally reach him. It is interesting that a being tried to stop me, there are beings that don’t want people to do this type of ‘astral work’ I believe that as more people are lifted out of their trauma so there is more light and a little less confusion. It’s possible that this being may have been the heavy energy I felt at first, this heavy negative energy can be quite scary, they use ‘scare tactics’, if this doesn’t work they may try to distract you in other ways. However, I stress, I am speaking from my own experience which may or may not be the same as other people. There is a lot of negative energy in our world at the moment, there is also a lot of positive, though we often don’t hear about it, the astral is no different, and just as we need more light here on Earth, so we need more light in the astral. Every little helps. Imagine all the negative energy that is constantly produced if someone is reliving their trauma, time and time again, stuck in a ‘trauma loop’ in the lower astral planes. I believe many people do this type of astral work even if they are not aware, every success story brings in a little more light. Thanks for reading/listening!

Dreams and OBEs are inextricably linked, when we are working on ourselves, delving into our depths, some things come up continuously over the years and you don’t really fully understand the symbolism. For years in OBEs and dreams I’ve found myself in an old villa, I would say Italian. An old stone building, overgrown and forgotten, but it is more the garden that is of interest, it is overgrown and there is a small rectangular pool, this pool has also appeared in experiences in my parents garden, a place in the astral I use as a sort of base camp. I have always called it my sacred garden. The pool is not modern but one you might find in an old Italian villa, made of stone, the water is greenish with algae, sometimes it is empty. In the experiences I always want to swim in it, though it is a bit small for proper swimming. I am reading a boot at the moment called ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer, yesterday it described how an elderly lady wished to return to her former home after many years, it was run down etc. There was also a part describing how the author had bought a house with a pond that needed cleaning, this could have triggered my dream, or maybe the universe conspired to create a series of feelings and events within me. Even recurring dreams are often a little different each time, sometimes showing how progress is being made, the dream may show you this progress with small signs. It is certainly worth working with dreams as I’m convinced much of our healing can be done in dreams and OBEs of course. Who knows what we have avoided having to deal with in life thanks to our dreams. A rather neglected area of our humanness I think. Anyway in the dream I had in the early hours of this particular morning there was progress in the old Italian villa saga. I am in my village in England, in the road where I was born and brought up. Originally we lived in a different house in the road and then we moved next door but one. In the dream I realise they are renovating the first house we lived in. I go round to the garden and the pool is there, they are renovating this as well, I am so happy as finally I will get to swim in it. There are a team of workers there, they are very nice and ask me what I want to do with the pool. What size do I want it? I’ve never wanted a big pool really just big enough for me to swim in it. Too big is too much maintenance and would take up too much space. When the pools were all closed a few years ago I set up a pool in my garden and swam using an elastic harness it worked a treat until winter arrived and the water was freezing so I ended up just doing cold dips. I miss my pool in the garden lol. Anyway my husband was there saying it only had to be small, but his small wasn’t the same as what I meant by small, could have symbolised a voice of restriction? The workmen are asking me what I want. I tell them it has to be long and wide enough for me to be able to swim with my elastic harness and I lay down to see my height and arm reach if doing front crawl also width for breaststroke. I then leave, a worker offers to help me up a steep step I say ‘I can manage myself but I’ll accept your help’ He gave an air of confidence and security. So now it is interesting that now the overgrown stone pool is being renovated so I can swim in it. It is also symbolic that the pool was in the garden of our first house, where I was born. The day before this dream was the 1st May, we were in spring, symbolic of new beginnings and rebirth, and I had spent most of day working in the garden. Although this podcast is called the astral projection podcast I do think it is important to stress the importance of not focusing simply on the astral realms as the goal, there are many wonderful, thought-provoking, opportunities for growth that can be experienced beyond the astral realms and also through dreaming. If we restrict our journeying to only the astral realms we are once again acting in a limited belief system like on Earth at the present time. I think we should look to always expand not just in our travels in other dimensions but also within the physical body we are presently focused in. Thanks for listening!

This OBE is a good example about how we can connect to others during OBEs. I had gone up to the attic to sleep at about 2am due to my husband’s snoring. In the early hours of the morning I had the following OBE. I am out-of-body and fly through the window only to suddenly hear my husband come in the room telling me not to go off flying. It’s not the first time I’ve had this sort of experience. Anyway as I hover outside the window I tell him that it’s perfectly fine why doesn’t he try it too. I go back into the room and take his hands so I am facing him outstretched arms holding both hands. I tell him to jump up in the air and that he will float so he does, then I persuade him to fly out the window with me, so we do, all the time in the same position, me in front of him holding his outstretched hands. I say, ‘There that’s not so bad is it?’ Then I say, ‘Make sure you remember this in the morning,’ I keep emphasizing, ‘Remember this in the morning.’ So in the morning while having breakfast I asked him if he had any dreams the night before, then he suddenly became enthusiastic as he recounted a dream he had. The outline of the dream is this, he was shopping for an anti-gravity device which would enable him to fly, he found one in a shop and bought it at a bargain price. The device consisted of a piece of wood that you held out in front using both hands. As he demonstrated the position I saw that it was the same one as we had used in my OBE, he said he used the device first to float then to fly. So his mind had interpreted our flying OBE into a dream about an anti-gravity device, I’ve been called a lot of things but an anti-gravity device is a new one lol. Well I suppose Ali does mean wings in Italian. This is not the first time I have met my husband out-of-body but it is the first time he has actually remembered something similar to what happened. Often I am usually flying off out of the house trying to persuade him that he can fly too. This experience has implications also regarding how we can help people even when we are asleep, and I’m not talking about helping people have out-of-body experiences but rather by giving people support. Of course, with family the connection is very strong so probably it is easier to have an influence, same with close friends, however, this doesn’t mean helping others is not impossible, given that we have their permission. The best way when out-of-body is to ask your higher self the best way to help someone with whatever problem they have, you may get shown something in a kind of vision, who knows if your higher self considers it appropriate you may even have an encounter like I did with my husband where he brought it all back as a dream. This is one reason why we must not discount dreams as not very important, we may get messages from our guides through them, even loved ones on the other side, who knows someone somewhere might be trying to teach us to fly.

I often talk about the importance of the mind in out of body experiences, firstly to set intention, and focus on that intention and while actually out of body to remain objective and in control. I have also spoken a lot about the heart and how it can act as a strong catalyst to bring about an OBE, as if you have a strong desire to connect to the beyond this desire can pull you into the beyond, it is not just ‘want’ it is something more. It is more like an extremely strong longing to connect to something you know is present somewhere within you, the path to that something is through your heart. Combining these two aspects of who we are can create a powerful technique. Unfortunately we are used to separating everything, how we perceive the world, each other, the parts of our body, we don’t seem to be very good at unity, at least at the moment though things are changing. The heart is very powerful, I felt its power once in an OBE where I could see and feel my heart chakra like a glowing engine full of power. Imagine being able to harness this power. We all have a heart so we all have this incredible power house, we only have to learn how to ignite it. Our mind is also a powerful tool if we can learn to focus and not let it wander into the past and future beating ourselves up about the past and worrying about the future. Our point of power is the present and it is only from there that we can act. Focusing our mind on our intention to experience an OBE while feeling a strong desire to connect to the beyond is powerful and it does require effort. The desire must be felt, it must not be the idea of a desire, I have called this ‘spiritual longing’ in the past, as mentioned earlier, it is a longing to reconnect to who you truly are, to your higher self, to the divine. I don’t really like to call this a technique as the desire to reconnect to the divine is something not to be turned on and off, only to be used when we want to experience out of body travel. We should carry that feeling in our hearts as we carry on our everyday lives, who knows doing this may also have a positive effect on how we live too. We have been taught over the years to perceive the world in a particular way, we live with blinkers on without seeing wider possibilities of life on Earth. Opening ourselves up, feeling that spiritual longing, that desire to connect to the divine, combined with the power of our minds, could take us many places including on incredible out-of-body experiences. Spiritual longing is a strong desire to experience who we truly are without the blinkers of our physical reality, one of the ways to do this is through out-of-body experiences. In one of my OBEs I experienced myself as the universe, I was everything, all was present, all was peaceful, it was incredible and defies description. So let’s nurture our hearts and learn to control our minds, uniting the two, indeed uniting all our bits, so to speak. A strong desire to grow beyond this physical reality can only take you one place and that is beyond the blinkers.

Early this particular morning I decided to practice active listening as I have mentioned in other episodes, I put on a track to focus on and chilled into the music but not too much as to lose my focus. In the end I did go to sleep though. I’m dreaming I’m observing a kind of white corridor there are people walking down it, they are in a sorry state, some can’t even walk properly and one guy who is in a pretty bad way picks up and someone worse off than him and carries the person on his back Then, still as an observer I’m in another white corridor and below me are 3 children who are shabbily dressed and a bit dirty. I tell them from above that we have to get out of this place, at which point I realise I am dreaming, and I tell them we can go to the astral together. I set my intention and shoot up into the air intending to make an exit to the astral in the ceiling, but I can’t get through, I try again and make a round hole in the ceiling with my head, then the ceiling sort of screws round on itself so the hole becomes an oval hole. I don’t go through it as I realise that there is no ceiling above me now and I shoot up into the astral. I find myself in a lush green forest, it is so green, something white is coming towards me and as it gets closer there is a lot of writing on it though I don’t understand any of it, but I get the feeling that I have to save the world. I stand in the forest I am some sort of warrior and there is another warrior with me, we are waiting for others to join us. I have a sword and dressed in black, a bit like a samurai. I don’t remember any more than that. The thing that stands out is just how green the forest is. A samurai saving the world sounds like some sort of video game lol. Anyway even though short I am happy I managed to get out as it always gives me a feeling of something bigger, when I am back in my body after an OBE it always amazes me just how focused we are in this 3D reality, so focused that it is too easy to believe that this is the only reality and that our dramas are the only dramas. I’m sure there was a time when we were more in tune, when we saw so much more than the funnelled down version of the world that we see now, it is as if we live with horse blinkers on. It’s time to get rid of the blinkers and open our minds to something bigger, something deeper.

What a nice surprise this morning, a sign things are calming down after the summer, I also think recording a quick podcast episode recently helped get my mind focused on astral projection again. I am laying in bed and I feel the usual sensations that I am in the mind awake/body asleep state, though I don’t feel as if I am me in my bedroom here in Italy, I’m someone else but still me lol, if that makes sense. I leave my body and immediately find myself in the astral. I shoot up in the air and look down, below me is a young man, roundish face and short hair, and he is also me. I feel I have his appearance. I’m so happy to be out-of-body we look at each other, we are both happy, then I fly off. I feel that I’m looking for someone or something, there is some sort of conflict going on, not a war, more an underlying conflict that needs resolving. There is a lady sitting at a desk and she is checking people through into a sort of work tunnel. I am with a group of women who are all dressed in white robes, totally covered from head to foot I don’t see their faces. The lady at the desk has dark hair and is bigger than the women, I too am bigger. In some way the lady with dark hair represents the authorities, the ones who are keeping the women under control. I tell the women that they mustn’t go and get checked in and go down the tunnel but they don’t listen they think it is the only way they can be free. The lady with dark hair becomes aware of me and doesn’t want me there, I fly off and find myself in a glass building with the lady with dark hair. I vaguely remember flying through a window into a town but the memory isn’t clear and I don’t remember any more. I often find myself inthe mind awake/body asleep state in other bodies, sometimes a version of my own as in Ali, sometimes someone else, though I think probably another me, from another life. A week or so ago I watched the film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, it was a bit confusing at times, a little difficult to follow if you got distracted, but I can appreciate the concept. Thousands of universes all happening at the same time with different versions of the same people, the appearance of the different versions was always the same though they were living different types of lives, with the same people, so if I were to make a correlation it could be said that each was a probable self living a possible life on a different timeline. Seth talks about probable selves, for anyone that isn’t aware Seth is an entity channeled by Jane Roberts a while ago now. The film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ is slightly different from the film ‘Cloud Atlas’ which depicts 6 different lives of the same essence, which are completely different in appearance and personality, male and femaile, so rather that probable selves they were other lives. All rather confusing, maybe I shouldn’t bring the entertainment industry into this lol however, I do believe that our films and tv often do depict certain truths though maybe a bit distorted in order to be entertaining. You just have to look at the film ‘Matrix’ and how by many it is considered a documentary rather than fiction, but we won’t go into that. So how is all this relevant to my OBE, well the films deal with how all the probable selves, or lives, can influence each other, in both negative and positive ways, I believe this is true. In some way we are in contact with ALL of who we are, for this I often wake up in the mind awake/body asleep state of other versions of the Ali me, or other people who are not the Ali me but are other mes from other lives with a different appearance. In this way we can all help each to work through our shadows, each me has different skills and abilities which we can connect with and use to lift up the total of who we are into a higher vibration. Realising this and trying to make the connection can have a knock on effect and help wake up other yous who may still be unaware of the multiplicity of life. As individuals we can help transmute any negativity that we may have caused in other lives, or as probable selves, and this in turn will help the whole of humanity out of the tunnel we have been in for a very long time. This is how important you are.

In my last episode I spoke a little about active listening, and how it can take you into the present moment. Well I decided to practise a little when I wake up during the night. I often listen to tracks when I do wake up as it helps me relax and get back to sleep. So this particular morning I wake up and put on a track called the Chakra/Brainwave Harmonizer by Jonathan and Andi Goldman, I start to listen to the music, not just hearing it and allowing myself to drop back off to sleep but actively listening to see where it takes me. After a while I realise my body has gone to sleep and I am feeling energy sensations that I recognise as the precursor to an OBE so I get up out of my body, go over to the window and fly through it. I am feeling full of energy and euphoric, my heart centre is particularly active, as I fly through the window I am surrounded by what I would describe as mist or light clouds, this is the nearest I can get to describing it. I feel so full of joy and want to connect to the Divine. Just in front of me I see a dark shadow, potentially it could have been a bit scary but I am so full of joy that I go over to it and give it a big hug, it immediately disintegrates and disappears. Some more stuff happened after but I can’t remember very well. Then I wake up. I wasn’t intending to have an OBE I just thought that I would see where active listening to this track would take me, the track starts at the Crown chakra goes down to the Root then up again and finishes on the Crown. It could be that when I had my OBE the Heart chakra track was playing, considering my heart center felt very active. It could be that I was doing some ‘shadow work’ as I did hug the shadow and it disintegrated, which is possibily demonstrating that if we hug our shadows, i.e. accept them as part of who we are and not try to hide and resist them, then our shadows will disappear. This is an example of one of the benefits of OBEs, they help us evolve, we can deal with our shadows and grow just a little bit more each time. Of course this is not the only path to evolution but it is indeed a fascinating one.

Introduction I am not a monk tucked away in some quiet corner of the world where no one will disturb me, I am not someone who meditates every day, though I probably should. I usually manage to go to bed early and listen to some binaural beats, sometimes I even make it through to the end without falling asleep. I live in Italy, a pretty chaotic country for someone who was born and brought up in a quiet English village. I learnt to astral project when I had young kids so I needed techniques that I could do when I had time. My kids used to start school around 8.00am and finish around 1.00pm and that includes Saturdays. If I was going to do any communing with my self in the realms of the present moment it had to be within those times, in between all the other things I had to do. This doesn’t include, of course, the 3-month summer holidays, during which quietly communing with my self was possible only at night. I sometimes wonder how I ever managed to teach myself how to leave my body, little kids just don’t relate to ‘just sit there quietly for 20 minutes while I go and do my OBE training.’ Of course my kids grew up but the interruptions didn’t stop. I always look back at what I did, indeed what I continue to do, for astral projection is a work in progress. I continually work at it for there is always progress to be made and slacking off means fewer OBEs. I want to be brief and to the point because busy people with jobs and families need a simple, straightforward technique which can be practised anywhere and at any time. Basically, it is a system which uses normal dreams as a springboard to expand your consciousness. 1.    We All Sleep In the past when I slept was the only time I could practise any Astral Projection techniques. It was the only time really when I was completely relaxed and not usually interrupted. We all sleep so we can all use this time. If you wake up several times during the night, each time is an opportunity to practise staying awake while you fall asleep. Your consciousness must be gently present through the whole process, don’t concentrate too hard or your body will never fall asleep. However, this isn’t the technique I wanted to discuss. When I was teaching myself to OBE often exhaustion would set in, and I would fall asleep. This problem led me to look at dreams. 2.    Do You Remember Your Dreams? This is fundamental. If you don’t remember your dreams the first thing you have to do is develop your dream recall. This OBE technique relies on something we all do every night whether you remember or not. Memory is important for dreams and out-of-body experiences alike. So, to remember your dreams and develop your recall ability, it is essential to start writing down your dreams and any feelings or sensations you have during the night. This gives the message to your subconscious that you want to remember what you do at night. You may also use affirmations before you go to sleep and each time you wake up, for example, ‘I remember my dreams,’ over and over again. Take a little time each morning, just after you wake up, to sink back a little to that zone between waking and sleeping, let your dreams come floating back into your mind. If you’re new to OBEs it may be a good idea to surround yourself with Light before you go to sleep. Many people recommend this to keep away unwanted entities. To tell the truth I don’t go through this process because it has become automatic. I am fairly confident when I’m out-of-body, I have had a quite a few scary moments and overcome them. After all the negative energy I’ve blasted with Love and Light most of the annoying entities probably run a mile when they see me coming! 3.    Lost in Dreams/Lost in Life? Our consciousness is often lost in dreams, just as sometimes our consciousness is lost in life. Too often we get swept along by the chaos. Are we really consciously present in our lives 100% of the time. I know I’m not. How many times during the day do we drift off to the past or to the future, we play past events through our minds and sometimes worry about the future. How much time do we actually spend focused in the present? It is great practice to stay focused when all around us seems in chaos. Many people have said that our point of power is the present and how right they are. So, if we are not present in our lives how can we be present when we sleep, how can we be conscious in our dreams when we are not always conscious in life? 4.    Get Conscious in Life Often, we do things in an automated way because we are used to it, we have learnt how to do it so we don’t have to think about it anymore. So now we must teach ourselves to be conscious, to wake up while the body sleeps, to wake up within the chaotic life of our dreams. We must teach ourselves to be conscious within the chaos, the chaos of our physical life and our dream life. Training ourselves to be more aware in daily life will reflect in our dreams. This is a short technique on paper, this does not mean it is ineffective, it just means it is simple, but it is not for the lazy of mind. It takes conscious effort to stop the mind from wandering. Astral Projection is a skill that requires work, just like any other, but with this technique your astral projection practice can be integrated into your everyday life. There is one basic thing you should do throughout the day as often as you can. Be present in whatever you are doing, be present with your consciousness, concentrate and pay attention to exactly what you are doing in the present moment. If you are driving, be present, notice the car in front of you, what colour is it, what make is it. Instead of thinking about what’s for lunch or dinner or one of the million other things we think about when driving, concentrate and pay attention to what you are doing and to who, or what, is around you. If you are shopping, be present, look around you, take notice of things, the products, the people, be present in the present, concentrate and pay attention, really be in the moment. If you are doing housework, be present, pay attention to what you are doing, you don’t have to literally count the bubbles in the detergent, but notice them, be more aware. Concentrate. The list can go on and on, eating, getting dressed, washing, shaving… all the things we do automatically that we are not usually present in but off thinking about something else. Every so often choose an object and concentrate on it, look at it in detail, start with a minute or so, then increase the time. Our minds drift, so we drift away from the present moment. We don’t pay attention or concentrate. The key is concentration because in the end if we concentrate and pay attention in our lives this too will be reflected in our dreams. We need to go consciously into our lives so we can go consciously into our dreams. Be conscious in your life, be present. 5.    Get Conscious in your Dreams With time you will start to become more aware, the more you remind yourself to concentrate in life the more it will be reflected in your dreams. You may well find yourself concentrating on something in a dream automatically, bingo, you’ve almost cracked it. It doesn’t matter what holds your attention, it could be someone’s voice, or an object, the important thing is not to get distracted. Don’t think about it, don’t wonder about it, just focus on it. The action is important, not the object, and it is the focusing, the concentrating that will get you from a dream to a state of expanded consciousness. This is not lucid dreaming, lucid dreaming is being awake or conscious in a dream, we are taking our attention away from the dream by focusing on one object, or one thing, ignoring all the rest of the activity. We are dissolving the dream and expanding our consciousness. Using this method, I have found myself in the mind awake/body asleep state ready to astral project. I have also found myself going through a tunnel, at the exit of the tunnel I have been in a state of pure consciousness, beyond form. This method of concentration can also be used if you are in your astral body. Just close down your astral vision and concentrate, focus inwards, try to empty your mind of thoughts. It takes effort but the result is amazing. 6. Summary Take advantage of sleep time. Train your memory. Make chaos your ally. Get Conscious in Life Get Conscious in Dreams 7.    A Final Word The Dream Focus Technique will not work overnight because it involves developing your consciousness in the present moment. You will become more consciously present in what is happening around you in physical life and less involved in the crazy emotional side of human life. Remaining objective is important in the astral, controlling thoughts is essential in such a thought-sensitive reality. The key words are: Be Present Focus Pay Attention Concentrate Be Conscious

I was quite happy about these 2 OBEs as they happened in a room I have never OBE’d from, place seems to be important for me I generally only leave my body in rooms I am familiar with, not always but generally this is the case. I am dreaming but suddenly wake up in my body as in the dream I feel the energy sensations and this alerts my mind, I go over to the window, the blinds on the window are white and quite thick, physically that is, I donb’t know why but I think to myself that they may be difficult to get through, however, I get through OK. I come out in a town, it is a bit dark and dreary, the town has just been through a war, and the people are busy trying to build up the town again. There are still a few tanks around that don’t seem to realise that the war has ended though they don’t seem to be doing any damage. I avoid the tanks and find myself with a group of people who are trying to rebuild the sewage system of the town. The energy is heavy. I then picked up and carried along by a strong force, it feels so good I am flying so fast, I see stars in front and a bright light, it feels wonderful. I am back in my body and I get out again. I say to my highr self, ‘take me where I need to be’ and I find myself in a town with rather cramped living conditions. I am in one of the apartments talking to 2 people, they know they are dead and I tell them I am out-of-body. (Having recently listened to a podcast where people were discussing the afterlife, and I use this term in a very loose sense as it is really just a ‘continuelife’ after we die but for ease of explanation here I’ll use afterlife, there was something on my mind. The discussion during the episode was around reported near death experiences and a lady who channels a well-known person. I don’t want to mention names as this isn’t meant as a criticism I am simply trying to understand. The main theme of the podcast episode was that when we die we all go to a marvellous place full of light and love. Given that many of my experiences are sometimes very far from this concept and I meet people who need help moving on, or people living in astral cities which leave a lot to be desired, this concept of the afterlife all being light and love for everyone doesn’t quite ring true. I cannot deny my experiences, I have had many all around this theme of people being stuck in the lower realms and I know others who do similar work in the astral. These thoughts were in my mind in this OBE.) So back to the town where people were living in cramped conditions, I am in the apartment with the 2 people who know they are dead and I ask them why they are living in such a place, on Earth people are talking about the afterlife being all light and love yet they were living in this place. Unfortunately I don’t remember anything else. So what explanation can I offer myself. Maybe the people on the podcast are only looking at one aspect of the afterlife and aren’t aware of all the more, let’s say, dreary aspects, or they want people to be positive about the afterlife so when they die they die with positive expectations, which of course does help. The higher your vibration when you die the better. Maybe the truth has to be bent for the good of some people who may be intimidated simply by knowing about the lower astral realms. We are all indeed held in light and love, there are always happy endings but if all our darkness disappears on death why do I and so may others find ourselves retrieving people from the lower astral? I am still pondering this. Happy travels!

Yesterday evening I went to my yoga class, on Wednesdays we do breathing, chants, and Yoga Nidra. While doing Yoga Nidra I felt energy sensations which were very pleasant. In the early hours of this morning I was, I suppose, dreaming that I was asleep in my old bedroom in England. I say I suppose as this often happens to me, being aware that I am asleep in my old bedroom. Houses I feel are very significant in dreams and OBEs often symbolically so. I have come to believe that my house in England represents a place where all of me can be reached, like a kind of portal. I was dragged down through a hole in the wall once to face a big cloud of negative energy so another life could be healed. I also find myself in other houses all have different feelings. Anyway, I am mind awake body asleep in my old bedroom in England and I feel the same energy sensations as the evening before at yoga. Immediately I recognise them as the precursor to an OBE, and I get up out of my body, one of my sisters is there and I tell her I’m out-of-body and just off to fly round the garden. My mum is there too, but downstairs, the house is sort of transparent and I can see her and I tell her I’m off into the garden. I feel my mum and sister could represent parts of me. My sister opens the window for me, even though I could have flown through it. I fly into the garden it feels so good as it has been a few weeks since I was out flying. I climb over the fence into a neighbours garden as I want to try a new direction. Ahead of me is a grassy pathway, it is very green and I follow it flying low. I try to focus my mind and use it to draw the the horizon to me rather than fly across the countryside. It takes a lot of effort. After this things get a bit blurry, there is more but I only remember snippets so it doesn’t really make sense. It was so good being out again, what really woke me up was recognising the energy sensations, they triggered my mind into action. So I would say that although meditation and other similar activities are not necessary to having successful OBEs they can indeed help.   Happy travels, Ali

This is taken from a former written post, a few years ago now, and I wanted to make it into a podcast episode as it carries quite a powerful message. However, it does contain a true and horrific story involving the Jewish population during the second world war so don’t continue to listen or read if you are of a sensitive nature. I had this experience the night after I had said to my higher self that I was ready for some more ‘astral rescues’ though I didn’t expect one so soon. I usually describe my experiences in the present tense to remind myself that we are always in the present moment but this is in the past as it is from a few years ago before I took up this habit. It started with me sleeping in a house that was a mix between two houses I have lived in before. While I am in bed I felt how I do when I am about the leave my body, so I got up out of the body that was asleep. I knew I was in the astral and I looked out of the window ready to fly through. I could see a lot of greenery outside but there was an area which stood out from the rest, it is as if I was watching a scene from another time in a type of ‘vision bubble’, the action within this area was in black and white. There were soldiers fighting and I got the impression it was a scene from World War II. There were other people in the room with me and they were a bit afraid of flying through the window, I said it’s OK we’re out/of/body and can’t be killed. Suddenly some men burst into the room they said they were looking for El, a child. The next thing I know I was a child being chased by soldiers, I was the child and an observer, I was trying to get out of some sort of prison. The soldiers had dogs. I managed to escape into the wood at the back of the prison. I think there was a village nearby and I got the impression that I stayed there a while, a few months or years. Then I saw the child come back to the wood and she looked to her right, my left, I followed her gaze and saw a stone alcove with a child hanging in it, the child had been hung and was dead. I couldn’t see the child’s face as it was turned way the body was also kind of huddled up and covered in black clothing. I woke up. In the past when I have done ‘astral rescues’ they have followed the same process, it’s as if I’m given clues as to what happened by entering into the drama of the person, into their story. I think this is often necessary in order to reach the person involved, you have to understand what they went through to build a bridge for them, out of their drama to the higher beings. So it was World War II, the prison could have been a concentration camp, my intuition told me the girl was Jewish, the child hanging in the stone alcove was disturbing, I wasn’t aware of any reports of children being hung in the Second World War. Anyway I investigated a bit and discovered the children of Bullenhuser Damm School. Jewish children were experimented on and then in order to conceal traces of the experiments the children were taken to the basement of the above mentioned school and hung. When I found this out it made me feel sick I have to admit my day would have been happier if I hadn’t found this out, however many atrocities happen in our world, it is no good turning our backs, what we can do is try to make things better for those who suffered. At the end of 1944, there were over 300 children interned in Hut 11 at Auschwitz-Birkenau.  One of the children is named Eleonora, she was 5. My intuition tells me that El is trying to draw my attention to this horror story I think she has crossed over, the soldiers who came into the bedroom were looking for El, and in my experience described above, the child did escape the camp. This could symbolise the fact that she managed to cross over. So I’m inclined to think that she is asking for help for her friends and maybe not just her friends from the school but for the children in Hut 11 who didn’t survive, some of whom may still be lost. The hanging child could also have been a symbol, of things still left hanging, not resolved and the black, negativity which has not yet been dealt with. I think this situation will need a lot of work I was thinking about the name El and the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ comes to mind, I had the above experience before the third season started. However, I remember in the first season El, (Eleven) was captive and tests/experiments were done on her by her captor who she called ‘Papa’. So is the El of my experience trying to draw my attention to Hut 11, to help all the children who were there. Joseph Mengele was known as the Angel of Death at Auschwitz , in ‘Me And Mengele’ By Dr. Dianne N. Irving, she writes   “During the mornings Mengele would come into the lab to visit with his “girls”; such times he was always dressed impeccably in his suit. He would take the girls out of their cages and bounce them on his knees, asking them to call him “Papa”.” There is also the connection with the number 11, the name I am given El, plus the number of the hut at Auschwitz. About 3 weeks after I had the experience above I was once again in the astral with a group of people who I was teaching to fly, (I often find myself doing this) I told them they had to be ‘light’ in their thoughts and feelings. In the distance I could see black smoke as if someone were bombing the countryside. I told the group that black smoke was usually a sign of negativity and that we had to go and investigate. I told them that if they felt in trouble to just fly up in the air, as the people in the place we were going to couldn’t fly. I told them it wasn’t difficult and that I had even done it in the physical reality, I seriously had a memory about being able to levitate at least for a few seconds, this memory certainly didn’t come from the life I’m focused in now. We went over to the black smoke, I realised it was a prison camp and we had to free the people there, the building was like a stark, concrete apartment block. We had to get past the guards, one was actually a lovely young lady with a dog, she wasn’t aggressive at all but actually wanted to help us. At this point I woke up. The day after the above experience I was once again in the astral going through doors, one door seemed to lead to another, it continued for a while, then finally a door led me to a window, a kind of ticket kiosk, there was a lady who looked very similar to the above mentioned guard with a dog. Then I went into a dream, I had tickets for Joseph’s Multicoloured Dreamcoat, I was with my kids but they were still children. It was an audience participation show. There is a song in this show called Close Every Door, you can listen and read the lyrics below. “Close every door to me, Keep those I love from me, Children of Israel, Are never alone.” ” Just give me a number, Instead of my name, Forget all about me, And let me decay, I do not matter, I’m only one person, Destroy me completely, Then throw me away” These lyrics hauntingly reflect the situation of the Jewish children. So now we get to the audience participation I think this is saying that we all have to work on freeing these children from their nightmare, from their trauma, that we can all dream them free together – Any Dream Will Do. Re-reading this has also brought something else to mind, that we have been strangling our inner child for a long time, we have been stifling the joy in a hearts, joy of life. We need to start nurturing our hearts and feeling that joy we have felt as innocent children, it is through our hearts that we will evolve, here lies our connection to the Divine. Go to sleep one day this week with positive feelings for the children in Hut 11, fill yourself with childlike joy and direct it their way and also your way, whatever is happening in your life try to find a reference point for joy and build on that. This is a rather special podcast episode as it marks the launch of my new online community and the Astral Wings Academy, I have been spending a lot of time investigating various platforms in order to keep everything free and therefore accessible to everyone. I have had an online community in the past but due to time restrictions it became difficult to maintain, however, I have now made a few changes in my life that allow me to dedicate more time to this very important aspect of our lives. I have made this decision as since I started having OBEs the world of astral projection has exploded, this has of course two sides, the first side more easily accessible information and people to talk to about it which is great, however the second is the amount of misinformation out there is a little scary, lol at times more scary than meeting a neg in the astral. A message came to be a little while ago that basically said ‘What good is experience is you don’t share it’ so the Universe has been pushing me to be more active and I have decided to answer the call. I’m not saying I am the world’s greatest expert, I don’t believe anyone is, I simply want to share the experience I have gained after over 20 years of experience after teaching myself back around the year 2000. I have been having OBEs regularly since then, the latest one being Monday morning and boy was that incredible, I’ll talk about that in a bit. Of course I have been sharing my experiences via this podcast, but I now wish to create a quiet corner of internet away from the some of craziness of certain platforms. I have created a community area with various topics, I will be doing videos that will only be available in the community plus you can message me privately from within the community. I have also set up the Astral Wings Academy where you can sign up for courses which I will be creating. At present there is one with 15 1 to 3 minute videos, called Astral Projection Tips, at the moment only available through the community. I wish to create a relationship with people and be available to answer questions about what I discuss. This particular course is ongoing as I will be adding to it every now and again. I’ll tell you the link to the community at the end of this episode but first I want to tell you about the OBE I had on Monday morning. This OBE was the second one of the night, however the first one I don’t remember, the second though, wow! I become aware while lying in my body though I’m not lying where I should be. I start to feel the electrical sensation I have when I am about to leave my body. Then above me I feel and see an extremely powerful light, I have my arms stretched above my head with my palms together. The light is Divine Light, I ask the light to pull me out of body, I feel myself being pulled up a little then I find myself in Divine Light in a state of ecstacy, it is impossible to describe I am within Divine Light and the feeling is nothing I can put into words and nothing I have experienced in the physical, I don’t know how much time passes, time isn’t important. On return to my physical body it feels that here we are devoid of energy, of light, compared to what I experienced.  We certainly need to let in more light into our lives and I’m sure the Earth would be grateful. When I had my first out-of-body experience I first did the wake up back to bed routine, where you wake up after a few hours sleep and then try for an OBE. The idea being that you aren’t as tired and then being able to stay aware while the body falls asleep is easier. I then tried to keep my mind awake while my body went to sleep. I was successful and had my first out-of-body experience….wow! This technique suited me at the time as I would normally get woken up during the night a few times as I had young kids and a snoring husband, so I wasn’t actually setting an alarm clock to wake up as some people might do. I believe that any astral projection technique should be integrated as much as possible into your life, I’m not sure if disturbing sleep is a good idea or not, sleep is very important so this may not be a good idea if you generally have problems sleeping. I still wake up during the night but rarely have problems getting back off to the world of nod. I have talked about the above technique in another 2 episodes which you can find on my site. Go to astralprojectionpodcast.com and do a site search for ‘Staying Awake While Falling Asleep’ and ‘Reaching the Mind Awake Body Asleep State’ Astral Projection Technique – Staying Awake While Falling Asleep Reaching the Mind Awake Body Asleep State Although experiencing yourself sinking down into sleep and staying aware during the whole process is a great feeling, it is in my opinion not the easiest of techniques and can lead to frustration if you end up dropping off to sleep. One of my favourite techniques involves visualisation and tactile exercises. I started to use this technique after my first OBE so I would keep my experiences going, believe me after the first one I didn’t want it to be a one off. After a while of programming the following technique into my subconscious often I would automatically find myself in the astral version of my chosen place of visualisation. It became my astral base camp. This technique involves taking some time each day to visualise and feel. You choose a place you know well, a place you love to be, a place where you are or were very happy. Then you have to bring it to life in your mind’s eye not only visually but also in a tactile sense. For example, I chose my garden in England where I had spent many hours playing as a child, I know the garden in all seasons, and it is a place I can replay very well in my mind. However, this technique is not only about visualisation you have to really feel as if you are there by remembering the smells, how it felt to be there, etc., I used to climb the apple tree so I used to replay how the bark of the tree felt as I was climbing, I remembered the smell of apples that had fallen on the ground and started to rot, the smell of newly cut grass. I had a photo of the garden which I carried around with me and when I had a moment during the day I would take out the photo and start visualising and feeling. I would imagine myself flying around the garden and repeat to myself ‘now I’m out-of-body’. Basically this is all about programming your subconscious mind to wake you up when already in the astral, or if you are in the mind awake body asleep state you can go through this visualisation and feeling activity to get you out of, and away from, your sleeping body. I would also go through the same process before sleeping and each time I woke up during the night, you certainly have to be dedicated but it is definitely worth the effort as you don’t have to set any alarms to wake up so your sleep doesn’t get interrupted. It is also a technique most people should be able to integrate into their day. For me it worked, years later I still find myself in my astral garden, every so often I do the visualisation and feeling activity but not everyday. If I haven’t had an OBE for a while I might start to do it more often. With any technique you choose consistency is the key, you have to keep at it, you cannot program your mind in just a week, so you do need patience and you need to make an effort. Consistency and dedication pay off, I have not been having out-of-body experiences all my life, I would have the occasional lucid dream this is as far as my adventures went. I had my first OBE around the year 2000 and was determined to keep them going, so I was consistent in my practice and patient, I didn’t allow myself to get frustrated but considered it all a great adventure and so it has continued to be.
