Fiona discusses the barriers and challenges women must overcome in their journey to escape domestic violence, often for them and their children. Fiona also explains how lack of understanding and seemingly innocent questions such as “why doesn’t she just leave” underestimate the complexities of domestic violence and also shifts the blame from the perpetrator to the victims.
