About this episode
Wick Cunningham discusses the success of Northwest Missouri State's cross country teams and his journey as a coach.
Northwest Missouri State cross country's fall season is drawing to a close, but not without some fireworks. The Bearcat men's team won the MIAA meet for a second straight season, then claimed the region title. The women's team is also on the rise and will send a sophomore runner to the national championships with an at-large bid. Northwest coach Wick Cunningham has been around the program since 2013 as a runner, now as a coach. He spoke with us about his work with the student-athletes, developing successful runners, and the path that took him back home in Iowa and then back to Maryville.
