| 4/14/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 33 (with Marc Specter) | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to Episode 33 and this one is a super special episode for us. See around Mark’s birthday in March each year is MacWagCon and we just play games starting at 7p on Friday and go absurdly late for the next couple days. When we finally wrap up late on Sunday, we’re all exhausted. This year’s con was the biggest yet and we had some incredible guests join in - including our guest on this particular episode! We had a really great time speaking with Marc Specter from our channel sponsor Grand Gamers Guild. We had a winding conversation discussing what it’s like to be a small publisher, licensing and localizing games, editing rulebooks, and fighting off a collector’s mentality with him. Jason had a turn at Why Did I Play That this week and somehow caught himself in the blast too. And then we got to talking about a lot of different games in Table Shelf and Trade. It’s a longer one this week, we played a lot of games that weekend, but I do think it’s a really enjoyable episode regardless. Once you’ve listened to it, hit us up at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com and let us know what you think or if there is anything else you’d like to know from Marc! | 1h 24m 13s | ||||||
| 4/7/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Interviews: The Victory Roll Café (featuring AEW's Ruby Soho and Cool Hand Angelo Parker) | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to a little piece of bonus content where we got to sit down and record a conversation with the owners of Victory Roll Cafe. We had the best of intentions for this to be a formal, sitdown interview but it devolved into us just having too much fun. Add in that they were taking time out of their Holiday Party which had the store completely wall to wall packed and I’m amazed we got the fifteen minutes we did out of all of them. Seriously they’re great people and it’s a wonderful space that the BATT crew regularly haunts. We’ll probably try again and have a full, ”professional” interview again with them but know that this definitely won’t be the last time that you hear these voices on the podcast. Thanks again to Lisa, Danny, Dori, and Jeff for making the time they could and I hope that you go visit the cafe as soon as you can! | 15m 07s | ||||||
| 4/7/26 | ![]() Reviews: Kaiser Cucumber & the Gangs of McChanicle Corners | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to the review for Kaiser Cucumber & the Gangs of McChanicle Corners. This was provided to us by the folks over at Fight in a Box. Kaiser Cucumber is a great filler social deduction game 2-4 players (or 1-4 with the expansion). Once more we were entirely charmed by the art and had a good time with this one. Check out our review, go pick it up from Fight in a Box’s webstore (linked below) and then let us know how you liked it by hitting us up at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com. Thanks again to Fight in a Box for providing us the game! | 17m 41s | ||||||
| 4/7/26 | ![]() Reviews: Puppies or Poop | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to the review for Puppies or Poop. This was provided to us by the folks over at Fight in a Box. Puppies or Poop is a terribly silly little game about trying to avoid stepping in dog doo for 2-4 players. We were entirely charmed by the art and had a good time with this one. Check out our review, go pick it up from Fight in a Box’s webstore (linked below) and then let us know how you liked it by hitting us up at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com. Thanks again to Fight in a Box for providing us the game! | 8m 11s | ||||||
| 3/31/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 32 | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to all the new folks that have come into the fold from the Brass content! We're stoked to have you with us. This episode is one where clearly the crew was having too much fun taking shots at each other. This time around we decided to break down those ambiguous terms of luck, tactics, and strategy to try and have a defined conversation; Scott nailed us with yet another word game (and had us using the phrase Banana Balls multiple times), and then we get into a surprisingly contentious Table Shelf or Trade segment that finishes out with us just feeling old because 2021 shouldn't be five years ago. Thanks for checking this episode out and make sure to let us know what you think of everything by hitting us up on the comments or emailing us at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com! | 3/25/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Interviews: Nate Linhart, Designer of Tenpenny Parks | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to this standalone interview we were lucky enough to have with Tenpenny Parks designer, Nate Linhart. We recorded this right around the time of the Kickstarter campaign going live for the brand new expansions, Winter Lights and Spooky Nights and Innovation and somehow missed releasing it in time for that. So in support of their pledge manager, which is closing next week on March 31, we’re finally getting this out to you. We talk the origins of the design for Tenpenny Parks itself, breakdown what the expansions add, and suggest a minor addition that made Nate way too happy. Be sure to check the interview out, hit up their pledge manager if you’ve not backed it yet, and then get in touch with us about what you think about the interview and if you’d like us to do more like this! Thanks again to Nate for joining us and Thunderworks for providing a copy of the game for us to play! | 29m 29s | ||||||
| 3/24/26 | ![]() This or That: Brass Lancashire vs Birmingham vs Pittsburgh | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to this preview for Brass: Pittsburgh in support of their Gamefound campaign! The new standalone version, and the first one in eight years, of Brass from Roxley Games. This new game is going to feel both familiar to players of Birmingham as well as radically different for all the changes it makes. In this particular episode we’re actually comparing all three versions of Brass side by side largely looking at how the gameplay systems are executed on. We’ve intentionally kept a rules teach out of our Pittsburgh content right now since the rule set (as of this recording) isn’t finalized and changes could be forthcoming. Be sure to check the episode out, hit up their Gamefound page, and then get in touch with us about what you think about Brass: Pittsburgh! The link to the Gamefound campaign is below! | 44m 14s | ||||||
| 3/24/26 | ![]() Brass: Pittsburgh (from Roxley Games) Gamefound Preview | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to this preview for Brass: Pittsburgh in support of their Gamefound campaign! The new standalone version, and the first one in eight years, of Brass from Roxley Games. This new game is going to feel both familiar to players of Birmingham as well as radically different for all the changes it makes. In this preview we’re specifically previewing Brass: Pittsburgh itself. It’s still the heavy interaction, heavy economic Euro game that everybody loves from the system with some pretty massive updates in the gameplay. | 3/20/26 | ![]() Reviews: Brass Birmingham | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to this review for Brass: Birmingham! Brass: Birmingham is a 2-4 player highly interactive, economic, heavy Euro game that we already had within the BATT Library. We are doing this in leadup to the release of Brass: Pittsburgh’s Gamefound campaign next week. You can find the links to that below. Brass: Birmingham is designed by Martin Wallace, Gavin Brown, and Matt Tolman and is a very different game than it’s originator, Brass: Lancashire. You may not like one if you like the other but it’s entirely worth trying both out to find that out for yourself. Check out the review to find out what we thought of it and let us know what you think after listening by emailing us at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com! | 35m 17s | ||||||

The link to the Kickstarter campaign is below and we hope you check it out! | 2/10/26 | ![]() Board All The Time LIVE: Top Ten Games That Deserve a Second Chance Sequel | Hey BATT Family! We recorded this episode LIVE!!! at PopiCon 2026 on January 31, 2026. This was a really fun, weird, what-if type of list similar to what we did at PopiCon last year. It’s gone through a light editing pass to mostly condense the conversation and keep it from being overly long with a lot of the uhms and pauses, but you should feel like you were part of our audience that evening! Thanks again to PopiCon for hosting us and thank you so much for checking this episode out and we’ll catch you on the next one! | 1h 21m 30s | ||||||
| 2/5/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 31 (with D. Brad Talton Jr.) | Hey hey BATT Family! Episode 31 is here for your auditory enjoyment. This one is another episode that we had way too much fun recording. We are lucky enough to be joined by D. Brad Talton, President and Owner of Level 99 Games, on the show this time around. What you are hearing is a much smaller subset of the conversations that we had with him because we got pretty deep into the inside baseball of the industry and how things get done. While it was fascinating for us, we thought it might be less so for the general audience, but what remained is still a really fun, compelling conversation I think. In addition to having Brad on, we also had the infamous Jen join us for the first time someone else hit us with a Why Did We Play That. It’s a wild episode and, unsurprisingly, it was another bear to edit through but I’m very proud of what we have here. It’s also the biggest single episode I’ve had to edit - the raw file was almost four hours long because we just kept talking and having a good time. So apologies for this one running longer than normal, but it’s already pretty solidly condensed from multiple editing passes. The next thing you’ll hear from us is our next live episode, recorded in front of an audience at PopiCon 2026! Let us know what you think of this episode when you’re done with it, go check out some of L99’s sick looking Gamefound campaigns, and we’ll catch you on the next one! | 1h 37m 40s | ||||||
| 1/7/26 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 30 | Hey hey BATT Family! Sorry to overload you with top ten lists recently, but here is Episode 30! As it’s a multiple of five it is a top ten list and this week’s episode is about Simultaneous Action games. This was recorded at Gen Con on July 30th, 2025 in the BATT hotel room, so it’s a bit more echoey than usual. This topic was brought by the guest of the show, Derian, who has been a good friend of ours for yeras and runs all of the demo tables at Gen Con. If you’ve ever seen the dude wearing a bright orange shirt, a mohawk, and a utilikilt - that’s our boy. We cover some really great games here and even had a couple (big ones) that were forgotten off of some of the lists. Give it a go, let us know what you think and we’ll see you in two weeks with Episode 31 where we have the president of Level 99 Games on with us! | 1h 19m 56s | ||||||
| 1/1/26 | ![]() Board All The Time LIVE: Top Ten Games of All Time for 2026 | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to our LIVE Top Ten Episode! This time Scott, Jason, and Mark are all running down their top ten games of all time! This was recorded live at Victory Roll Cafe on December 17th, 2025 and so it’s going to have the ambient audio of a live cafe in the background. This was an absolute blast for us to do and we had such a great vibe of people coming and going. This is mostly unedited, so all the ums, ahs, and oh you knows are going to be there, but that’s the joy of recording this way. Thank you again to all of our sponsors and thank YOU for continuing the journey with us here in 2026. We can’t wait to see what the year has for us and getting back onto a more regular release schedule! | 1h 39m 09s | ||||||
| 1/1/26 | ![]() The Top 10 Games Released in 2025 | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to another top ten list! This time Mark and Scott are running down their best games of 2025! This was a great episode to record and it was amazing to realize how many games that we had played that released this year for us to actually be able to do this list. There are some really excellent games here, especially ones that we weren’t expecting to be on at all. We hope you have a great time with this one and let us know what YOUR top ten games of 2025 were! | 34m 30s | ||||||
| 12/19/25 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 29 | Hey hey BATT Family! Heck Yeah Episode 29! Scott and I had a great time recording this one, but it was a bummer Jason couldn’t join us since he was sick on the night of recording. We decided to bring back the Mechanics Shop and discuss one of our favourite mechanisms: Tile Laying! We also got to have a long conversation about one of Mark’s favourite games for Why Did It Take So Long to Play That. And finally we wrap this one up with a TST that goes kind of out of order because Scott accidentally brought a game to review he’d already done so with. It’s a fun episode in the vein of Season One and we hope you enjoy it! | 1h 19m 52s | ||||||
| 11/30/25 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 28 (With AJ Porfirio) | Hey hey BATT Family! Huzzah for Episode 28! I would really love for one of these edits to go a lot smoother and thankfully I think this should be the last super difficult one for a while. Regardless! We have AJ from Van Ryder Games on with us and had an absolute blast talking with him! We got to talk the wide array of Van Ryder’s games, what games to show to new people, and I got to absolutely traumatize Scott and Jason with this week’s pick for Why Did I Play That? This one really was a ton of fun to record so we hope you enjoy it just as much as we did! | 1h 16m 05s | ||||||
| 11/14/25 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 27 (With Chris Yi) | Hey hey BATT Family! We are so excited to be back in your ears with Episode 27. Featuring the inimitable Chris Yi from the Dice Tower, we got to have our full episode with him in every segment. We got to talk what it’s like to go back and focus on older games, try out a new version of what Mark considers a classic, and just riff off of each other a lot. We had a wonderful time with this recording session and we hope you enjoy it too. Be sure to hit us up after you listen to it and let us know what you thought at boardallthetimegaming@gmail.com! | 1h 22m 40s | ||||||
| 10/23/25 | ![]() Board All the Time Episode 26 (With Curt Covert) | Hey hey BATT Family! The first major episode of Season Two is here! We have a great conversation with Curt Covert from Smirk and Dagger games for this episode and we break down the way they’ve seen the hobby change in the 22 years of their existence. Jason also has his first deployment of a game at Mark and Scott for Why Did I Play That and for the first time we have a guest join us for Table Shelf and Trade! It’s a super fun episode and we had a lot of it end up going to an Odds and Ends in the future like the way we did with James Hudson because otherwise this thing would have been almost three hours long. Hope you enjoy this and we can’t wait to hear what you think about it! Thanks for joining us for season two and getting to hear about all of our new sponsors as well! | 1h 23m 54s | ||||||
| 10/7/25 | ![]() Episode 0 Revisited - The Season Two Kickoff | Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to Season Two of the podcast! We’ve got a whole slew of cool things planned for the season and we wanted to ease you in with the reintroduction of the BATT hosts, this time featuring Jason! We’ll be releasing Episode 26 on Thursday because we didn’t want to overload you with four different episodes on the same day. We hope you’re as excited as we are for the content we’ve got coming though. And if you are new, then welcome to the BATT Family! We’re pleased you’re joining us and hope you have a great time being part of the community. | 29m 59s | ||||||

The game does come to us from designer Daniel Alves with art by Arthur Mask.
