| 6/25/26 | ![]() Try These 5 Simple Mood Elevators To Feel Greater Peace | Some days just suck and that’s okay. Here’s what you can do about it with simple these mood elevators. There will be times when a bad mood hangs around. Maybe something triggered you. It could be a cloudy day when you counted on sunshine. Or you might feel crummy or no reason at all. You just feel off. [Join me at the Intuition Cafe – the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays every month from 10 -11am ET for just $11/session.] Feeling Dysregulated A lot of people describe this as feeling dysregulated, which includes feeling anxious, irritable, overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or just plain blah. The truth is there’s likely nothing truly wrong. You’ve had too much stress, too much news, too many demands. You haven’t had enough downtime or sleep. You’re overdue for some self-care. The good news? You don’t need therapy, a silent meditation retreat, or an appointment of any kind to feel more at peace. These five simple mood elevators are free, fast, and surprisingly powerful. I’m sharing them today because honestly, I’ve been in a mood myself for a few days and putting this together for you has already lifted my spirits. 1. Start Moving One of the fastest ways to lift your mood is to move your body, even for just a couple of minutes. Go outside, especially if it’s sunny. Fresh air and natural light work quickly to shift your emotional state. But even a rainy day has its benefits. Rain actually reduces an overabundance of positive ions that are absorbed from electronics and screens. Walking in the rain, taking a shower, or spending time near moving water like a stream or the ocean helps clear that energetic overload. Other easy options: Put on your favorite music and dance around the room for three minutes Take a short walk around the block Do a few minutes of stretching Try just three yoga poses Get physical, even briefly, and watch how quickly things start to shift 2. Stop Arguing with Reality When you’re in a bad mood, your mind can drift to unhappy thoughts. Then you might think you shouldn’t feel this way. Or other people have it worse and even things aren’t really that bad. But pushing your feelings away doesn’t make them go away. It suppresses them, and that’s not good for your emotional health long-term. The faster path to feeling more at peace is actually to own what you’re feeling. Face it. Accept it. Don’t make yourself wrong for it. When you acknowledge your feelings, even the uncomfortable ones, that’s often the quickest way to move through them and come out the other side. 3. Find One Tiny Thing Going Your Way Okay, this might feel difficult, but the truth is EVERYTHING is not bad. Even on your worst days, something is working in your favor. You don’t need to drag out you gratitude journal or make a list of 20 things. Just noticing one positive thing will be a solid mood elevator. Did you eat a good lunch? Find something on sale? Pay your bills and have a little left over? Hit a string of green lights? (One of my personal favorites!) These tiny moments count. I’ll share one that happened to me just yesterday. A client I coached a few years ago texted to say he got engaged. He was a sweet guy who struggled with social anxiety around dating, and we worked together to find some simple solutions. He sent me their happy engagement photo and said it wouldn’t have happened without me. I left him the most choked-up voicemail. That moment brought me completely to tears in the best heart-filled way. Finding even one thing that’s going your way shifts your brain out of fight or flight mode and into a place of greater peace and joy. Try it right now. 4. Call a Funny Friend As I was sitting down to write this episode, my phone rang. It was my friend Tammy. She has this gift for finding the humor in everything. We ended up reminiscing about our 20s, when we’d get together every Thursday night to listen to new music and dance in my living room. Laughing with someone who knows you well is one of the most a powerful mood elevators. If you have a friend with a good sense of humor, call her. Tell her your moody little story. Find the humor in it together. Nostalgia is genuinely uplifting. That’s why people love a good stroll down memory lane. Childhood stories, old shared jokes, funny memories are all good stuff, and can absolutely raise your spirits. Who could you call right now? 5. Create a Moment of Delight This is a fun one. What’s one small, easy thing that’s guaranteed to bring a little joy back into your day? Here’s mine – mascara. I stopped wearing mascara during COVID. Who was I going to see? But this year I started putting it on again every single day, just for me. When I catch myself in the mirror now, I smile. Those long dark lashes make me feel pretty and more youthful. That’s a genuine moment of delight, and it costs almost nothing. Here’s another one. I recently discovered a brand of sugar-free chocolate made with allulose that tastes just like the real thing. No funny aftertaste, no compromise and only one carb! It’s called Goalz I’m not getting paid to say that, I just love it and had to share. Your moment of delight might be an iced coffee, a hot scented bath, a funny cat video, drawing Zentangles, or cutting flowers from your garden to put on the kitchen table. Whatever it is, do it now. Don’t wait until later. You deserve a moment of delight today. Bonus: Ground Yourself and Breathe Sometimes what you really need is to reconnect with the earth beneath your feet which is one of the most powerful mood elevators. Try this: This is a three-minute practice. Close your eyes and imagine sending roots down from the soles of your feet, deep into the earth. Connect with the soil, stones, plants, and all the creatures. Acknowledge the four directions and all the elements. Say hello to the nature spirits. Thank Mother Earth for giving you a home for this life. Then take three slow, deep breaths. With each inhale, draw earth energy back up through those roots, up through your feet, and into your body. Draw the energy all the way up through the top of your head. As that energy rises, picture each of your chakras lighting up in sequence from root to crown. Notice how you feel afterward. This simple practice can open your energy field, deepen your breathing, and calm your nervous system. It can help you feel genuinely connected again. Your connection to the earth and nature is one of the most reliable paths to inner peace. Key Takeaways Feeling dysregulated or moody is normal. It doesn’t mean something is truly wrong. Moving your body, even for just a few minutes, is one of the fastest ways to shift your emotional state. Accepting your feelings rather than fighting them helps you move through them more quickly. Gratitude doesn’t have to be a big practice. One good thing is enough to help shift your brain out of fight or flight mode. Laughter and nostalgia are genuinely powerful mood elevators. Do not underestimate them. Small moments of delight are available to you right now, today, at little to no cost. Grounding with breathwork can reset your energy and restore a sense of peace in just a few minutes. Frequently Asked Questions What does it mean to feel dysregulated? Feeling dysregulated means your nervous system is out of balance. You might feel anxious, irritable, emotionally reactive, exhausted, or unable to focus. It’s often caused by too much stress, too little rest, or sensory overload from things like news and social media. It’s not a clinical diagnosis, it simply means your system needs some care and reset. What are the fastest ways to lift your mood naturally? The fastest natural mood boosters include moving your body (even briefly), going outside, calling a funny friend, and finding one small thing to feel grateful for. These methods work because they shift your nervous system out of threat mode without requiring any appointments, products, or significant time. Why does changing your physical state help your mood? Your body and mind are deeply connected. Physical movement releases tension, shifts your energy, and triggers neurochemical changes that help you feel better. Even three minutes of dancing, a short walk, or standing in sunlight can have a noticeable effect on how you feel emotionally. Is it okay to just sit with a bad mood? Yes, and in fact, accepting your feelings rather than fighting them is often the most effective approach. Suppressing emotions keeps them stuck. Acknowledging them without judgment allows them to move through you naturally. What is grounding and how does it help emotional well-being? Grounding is a practice of consciously connecting your energy to the earth. It can involve visualization, breathwork, or walking barefoot outside. Grounding helps regulate your nervous system, deepen your breathing, and restore a sense of calm and inner peace. It’s one of the best mood elevators! How can I feel more at peace on a difficult day? Start small. Move your body, accept how you’re feeling without judgment, or find one tiny thing going your way. You might reach out to someone who makes you laugh, treat yourself to one small moment of delight, or take a few slow deep breaths. You don’t need to do all six. Even one can begin to shift your mood. Now you know that feeling moody from time to time is part of being human. And, the good news is that you have more tools than you might think to feel more at peace and most of them are easy and already within reach. | 6/18/26 | ![]() Is There A Risk Relying On AI Vs. Your Own Intuition? | You ask AI what’s the best brand of supplement, how to handle a tricky conversation, or whether to take the job. But what about your own inner wisdom? When was the last time you paused and asked yourself first? I’m not picking on AI or telling you not to use it. However, it’s important to tune into your inner wisdom, so it doesn’t slip into the background from lack of use. It’s like use it or lose it baby. Why We’re Outsourcing More Decisions Than Ever People have always looked outside themselves for guidance to experts, religious leaders, therapists, coaches, and even psychics, and astrologers. That’s nothing new. But AI has changed the speed of that outsourcing dramatically. Author, entrepreneur, and podcast host Tim Ferriss recently shared a transparent peak into his business. His book sales dropped over 40% in 2025 and a jaw-dropping 50% again so far in 2026. His explanation? People are skipping how-to books and long- form YouTube videos in favor of instant AI answers. This isn’t just a publishing problem. It’s a signal. We are increasingly moving away from anything that takes time. For decades we’ve had drive-through coffee, apps for finding love, and now there’s telehealth calls. But what are we missing when we skip just sitting with something and taking our time with it? Are we handing over big life decisions to something that compiles other people’s experiences rather than relying on your own? The Hidden Cost of Decision Fatigue Research suggests the average adult makes 35,000 decisions every single day. Just ordering a coffee involves cup size, hot or cold, caffeine, sweetener, milk type, and flavorings. No wonder we’re exhausted! Decision fatigue is real, and that overload pushes many of us to skip the natural process of seeking inner guidance, especially for big issues. When you’re depleted, it makes sense to look for something to ease the burden. AI is right there, fast and seemingly limitless. But that speed has a cost in terms of trusting yourself and your own inner knowing. Information and Inner Wisdom Are Not the Same This is the heart of the matter. Information is fast, external, and tells you what other people know. AI gather this information and can deliver it in seconds. On the other hand, inner wisdom is personal, earned through your lived experience, and requires time, awareness, and reflection to emerge. That is something AI will NEVER provide. For thousands of years, wisdom required effort. People took on apprenticeships, learned religious or spiritual practices, spent time in self-reflection, experienced trial and error and these paths often took years. But today, information arrives instantly. The question is are you trading the slow accumulation of wisdom for the quick hit of information? And what might you have lost as a result? 4 Things AI Cannot Do For You AI is a genuinely powerful tool for brainstorming, research, and saving time. But there are things it simply cannot tell you: Which opportunity feels right for your life Whether a relationship is for your highest good What your soul is nudging you toward What you truly want in your heart of hearts The danger isn’t that AI will replace your intuition. The danger is that you’ll skip it even after gathering information to make your final decision. This will eventually erode trust in yourself over time. A Personal Story About Self-Trust At the end of my corporate career, I took a layoff package instead of taking a position in another division of General Foods. That place was draining me of my life force. In fact, I had a recurring dream that ended one night with coming home from a business trip to find my apartment emptied out. The only thing remaining was a burned-out neon clock that had stopped working. This same clock was in my real life office. Finally, I understood I was burned out, time was up, and so I walked away. Leaving with a seven-month package, I had no plan except talking to vendors, peers, and marketing executives. I had my astrology chart done and read What Color Is Your Parachute? which was a popular self-help book on finding work you love. None of it told me what would come next. Looking back, what I find interesting is that I didn’t discover my next chapter because I found the answer. My future unfolded because I gave it room to emerge. Within six months, former colleagues started calling asking for freelance help. That became a twelve-year career freelancing for big marketing agencies with brands like AT&T, Chase Bank, and Jack Daniels. The work was on my own terms, often just four days a week. My father joked with his friends that I was semi-retired because of that schedule. That’s the difference between information and wisdom. Information shows us possibilities. Wisdom helps you recognize which possibility is right for you. And the more you connect with your intuition, the more you trust yourself because of it. Midlife Wisdom Is Powerful By midlife, you have decades of experience. You’ve survived heartbreaks, celebrated successes, made mistakes, and recognized patterns. You’ve honed your intuition through living, day by day and have built trust in yourself. Yet, most women seriously underestimate how important and valuable that truly is. I worked with a 61-year-old client who had been job hunting for a year. Convinced that ageism was closing every door, her beliefs were crowding out the value of her own qualifications and experience. After the first session working on shifting those beliefs, she recognized how much she’d been doubting herself. She chose to stop focusing on what others thought of her and rely on her own earned wisdom. Seven days later she had three interviews. Within two months she landed exactly the job she wanted. It wasn’t her circumstances that changed, but her relationship to her own inner wisdom. How to Use Both AI and Your Inner Wisdom You don’t have to choose between AI and intuition. Use them based on what each one does best: Use AI to gather information Use your mind to analyze the possibilities Use your heart to understand what things mean Use your intuition for personalized guidance of the highest nature Over the next few weeks, when something comes up, consider turning inward first. You may already know your next step. But even if you tune in after you gather information, that slowing down will help you know what is for your highest good. Key Takeaways AI provides information; only you can access your inner wisdom Decision fatigue makes it tempting to outsource even deeply personal decisions Your accumulated life experience is a resource no tool can replicate Slowing down creates the space for wisdom to emerge Trusting yourself is a practice that builds over time Frequently Asked Questions – Inner Wisdom Vs. AI What is inner wisdom and how is it different from information? Inner wisdom is the personal knowing that comes from lived experience, reflection, and self-awareness. Information is external knowledge that can be quickly retrieved from sources like AI. Wisdom is earned; information is accessed. Can AI help with personal decisions? AI can help you research options, brainstorm possibilities, and organize your thinking. But it cannot tell you what feels right for your specific life, values, or soul path. That discernment comes from within. How do I access my inner wisdom? Start by slowing down. Ask yourself: What do I already know? What feels true to me? What would I do if no one else’s opinion were available? Write down what comes up. Many people find insights arrive in quiet moments — in the shower, on a walk, or during meditation. Why do women in midlife struggle to trust their own inner wisdom? Many spiritually aware women in midlife believe they need one more course, certification, or expert opinion before they can trust themselves. In reality, decades of lived experience have already built a deep well of wisdom — it simply needs to be accessed and trusted. What is the risk of relying too heavily on AI? The risk isn’t that AI will replace your intuition. The risk is that the habit of seeking instant external answers means you stop pausing long enough to hear your own inner guidance at all. | 6/11/26 | ![]() Conversation With The Garden Beings | It’s gardening season again! Have you ever considered talking to plants and wondered if they’d respond? That’s what you’ll discover in this post – surprising messages and insights from the plants in my garden. I’m not one of those people who can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt. I don’t love digging holes or weeding. I do enjoy planting small seedlings and flowers because that goes quickly and you see fast results. Hey, that’s who I am. I love fast results! But there’s another reason I look forward to gardening season and one that has nothing to do with the physical labor. I talk to my plants. And, they talk back. Dahlias Started It All The first time a plant talked to me was when I bought my first home which was a townhouse. I filled the tiny front porch with colorful flowers and a pot on every step leading to the front door. As I removed the first dahlia from its starter pot, I heard a voice… “Plant me in a good-sized pot because I’m going to grow really BIG!” The voice was high-pitched, gleeful, and absolutely adorable. I was totally shocked. A little freaked out but pleasantly surprised. That was my first experience of clairaudience and talking to plants and that’s how I started having little chats with them. How I Connect with Garden Spirits I do get a thrill from seeing plants grow, filling garden boxes, and producing vegetables for our meals. But besides the growth, I look forward to talking with the plants and nature spirits. It’s better to connect while it’s warm and plants are green and growing, rather than dormant in the winter cold. I do my best to start every gardening session by sitting quietly and connecting with the spirits of the garden. I call forth the plant divas, the overlighting land angel, and the local elementals. With my eyes closed and palms up on my lap, I open to these energies. I often see energy swirls behind my eyelids and a big smile plants itself on my face. Then I move into gratitude and ask to communicate, cooperate, collaborate, and co-create with the garden spirits and plants. I call this the “four C’s”, words that came to me naturally in that space of connecting. I’ll admit I sometimes forget and start pulling weeds before I’ve connected. That’s when I stop, sit down, and begin the ritual properly. It does amaze me how easily I can slip back and forth between a human doing and a human being. What the Squash & Cucumbers Told Me On one particular Sunday, I completed the four C’s and got ready to plant squash, cucumbers, and tomatoes. I felt strongly that the squash and cucumber plants wanted to communicate, so before pulling them from their starter pots, I sat with them and asked if they had something to tell me. They did. The squash told me not to plant the seedlings too close together because they need space. The cucumbers explained they need less water than the squash. Both were happy about growing up the wire fence, which keeps their leaves off the dirt and minimizes disease. But what really surprised me was the squash plant’s sheer enthusiasm. The voice I heard was exuberant and joyful. That expression of excitement was absolutely thrilling to receive. After planting, I moved on to weeding. Grass tends to sneak into the beds and the roots hold on tight. As I struggled, a thought came to me. Apologize for removing them and ask them to let go easily. So I did. They came out of the dirt with ease, eliminating the struggle. Who would have thought to ask? String Beans Whispers Years ago, my string bean plants were growing like wildfire — vibrantly green, climbing their strings like Jack’s beanstalk. But there were no flowers, which meant no beans. I decided to ask the plants. They didn’t have much to say at first, but then I heard two whispered words: “wood ashes.” I had no idea what that meant, so I Googled it. Turns out, over-fertilized plants get too much nitrogen, which makes them grow wildly but prevents flowers and fruit. As luck would have it, we’d just had a fire, so I swept up the ashes and sprinkled them around the plants. A few weeks later, the vines were loaded with flowers and we ended up with a bumper crop. The plants know what they need. Basil Plants Taught Me Not to Doubt One summer my two basil plants were being attacked by insects I couldn’t see. They looked a bit dreary. I bought organic spray and an extra plant just in case. Then in July, all three took off like crazy, turning into thriving bushes over three feet tall. In August, as I harvested basil to make pesto, the plants spoke: “You were worried about us but we turned out well. You doubted our ability. Never doubt us again.” The following summer the exact same thing happened. But this time I knew better and once again, they flourished. How Arugula Encouraged Self Trust The last story has to do with arugula plants. This plant does better in cooler weather. But they will grow all summer. I wanted to cut them back, so they could grow fresh leaves. They were getting bitter as I tried to keep up with cutting off the flowers which is when they go to seed. I had the presence of mind to ask them, “How should I trim you?” What they whispered came quickly and took me by surprise. I heard, “Go with your own instinct and we’ll guide your hand with the scissors.” How interesting. This was yet another message about trusting myself from an unexpected source. I talk a lot about self-trust with regard to Midlife Magic. It’s needed if you want to access your intuition and inner magic. Nature Is Open to Partnership What I’ve learned in my garden is that nature is more than happy to work with you in partnership. All that’s required to connect with this higher vibrational consciousness is the willingness to ask for their guidance or input, and then take the time to listen. Nature is eager to open up and work with you. This is your invitation to discover another world that’s magical and fun. You might find the gleeful energy of dahlias, the exuberance of squash, or a basil plant that needs you to believe in it. One thing is for sure, it will be a journey filled with wonder and surprises. Key Takeaways You don’t need to be a lifelong intuitive to connect with plants. The conversation can start simply, with curiosity and a quiet moment. Ask before you act. Whether planting, pruning, or weeding, pausing to check in with your plants can yield surprisingly practical guidance. Nature communicates in many ways. A whisper, a feeling, a knowing, an image, or sudden thought and all of it counts. The four C’s framework, communicate, cooperate, collaborate, and co-create, is a simple ritual for opening to garden spirits. Your doubt blocks the connection. The basil knew about my doubt before I did. FAQs Do I need to be psychic to talk to my plants? Not at all. Back in the 1990s it took me seven years of dedicated practice to connect with spirit. Today, many people find the connection comes quickly with only a little practice. Many believe this is because of the higher frequency humans now experience, which makes tuning into plant consciousness easier than you might imagine. What does plant communication actually feel like? It may not be a loud or obvious voice. It can be subtle like a whisper, a feeling, a knowing, or a visual impression in your mind’s eye. It might even feel like something you made up. All of it counts. How do I get started? Find a quiet moment with your garden, a houseplant, or even flowers on your porch. Calm your breathing. Ask your angels, spirit guides, or ancestors who gardened for help. Then sit quietly and expect an answer. If nothing comes, try again later. Can this work with indoor houseplants too? Absolutely. You don’t need a full garden. A single plant on your windowsill is a perfect place to begin. What if I feel silly talking to plants? That’s exactly how I felt the first time a dahlia spoke to me. The silliness passes quickly when they start talking back. And it’s so much fun! The post Conversation With The Garden Beings appeared first on Intuitive Edge. | — | ||||||
| 6/4/26 | ![]() What June’s Planetary Parade Reveals About Inner Authority | The June 2026 planetary parade happens on June 17th, when five planets align in the night sky in a formation visible to the naked eye. No equipment needed, just a clear horizon and a few minutes after sunset. It’s a genuinely rare sight. But if you’re a woman in midlife, this particular planetary parade carries a resonance beyond astronomy. Each of the five planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) symbolize a quality your inner authority needs. That includes clear thinking, self-worth, courage, expanded vision, and the wisdom only lived experience can build. That last one is the one most midlife women consistently underestimate in themselves. This post is about the parade and what it reflects back to you. Why the June Planetary Parade Stands Out While planetary alignments happen throughout the year, there’s something undeniably captivating about seeing them all at once. It’s as if the heavens rearrange themselves to highlight something everyone needs to see. If you’re someone who finds meaning in the natural world, this kind of visual alignment is hard to ignore. Many people view planetary gatherings as a moment when different energies seem to work in concert rather than pulling in separate directions. Whether you take that literally or simply as a useful metaphor, the invitation is the same. Imagine what it would be like if your different parts could come together into harmony too? Think about how many different women live inside you at once: the wise woman, the dreamer, the intuitive, the practical one, the adventurer, the responsible one, and the one who just wants to rest. For eons, women have been taught to prioritize everyone else’s needs and ignore their own inner wisdom. This planetary gathering can serve as a symbolic invitation to bring all those scattered pieces back to center. This celestial moment also speaks to something many women experience as they move through midlife and beyond. There’s a growing desire to trust yourself more deeply. To rely on that inner wisdom and feel genuinely self-sufficient and empowered. You’ve spent decades gathering this wisdom. You’ve navigated relationships, raised families, built careers, and faced disappointments. Maybe you reinvented yourself more than once and learned to keep going when life didn’t follow the plan you imagined. Yet, many women still find themselves looking outside for answers, wondering if someone else knows more than they do. That’s why this planetary parade offers such a striking and important perspective. What Each Planet Brings Each of the five planets carries a quality your inner authority needs: Mercury represents clear thinking and honest self-reflection Venus reminds you of your worth and invites you to treat yourself with the same kindness you freely offer everyone else Mars brings the courage to act on what you already know instead of endlessly second-guessing yourself Jupiter expands your vision and encourages you to believe more is possible than you’ve imagined Saturn contributes the wisdom that comes from lived experience — the kind no book, class, or expert can hand you That’s a complete picture. And if you’re honest, those are qualities most women over 50 have been quietly developing for years, often without giving themselves any credit. The Heart of the Lion Now add Regulus to the mix. The brightest star in the constellation Leo and referred to as the Heart of the Lion, Regulus has long been associated with leadership, courage, and sovereignty. Those words might sound grand, but they point to something practical. Your inner authority is simply the ability to listen to your own knowing and trust it. Honor what feels true for you, even without outside approval. Many women were taught to be considerate, accommodating, and responsible and those qualities have real value. But there comes a point when inner wisdom asks for more. In midlife, it becomes not just possible but necessary to become the authority in your own life. A lion doesn’t ask others where to go next. It trusts its instincts and moves with confidence. And here’s the thing about confidence. You may assume it comes first and action follows. In reality, it works the other way around. When you listen to an inner nudge, follow your curiosity, or make a decision you’ve been avoiding, you discover you’re capable of navigating whatever comes next. That’s how self-trust is actually built. Women often arrive at this stage believing they need one more answer before they can move forward. Maybe one more book, workshop, or sign. Meanwhile, your inner wisdom has been patiently waiting to be heard. See the Bigger Picture Later in June, the New Moon darkens the sky enough for the Milky Way to emerge. Think of this as the final note in the month’s celestial progression. First, align with yourself. Next, trust your wisdom. And finally, see the bigger picture. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You only need to trust the next step and allow the larger picture to unfold. The wisdom you’ve been searching for isn’t out there somewhere. It’s already present within you, whispering encouragement toward your next step. Decades of living, the mistakes, the victories, the setbacks, and the insights gathered in ways no shortcut could replicate. That’s your authority. It’s always been yours. To me, that’s the gift of inner authority. Even without all the answers, you trust yourself enough to take the next step and move forward anyway. And that, my friends, is nothing short of extraordinary and yet another aspect of midlife magic. Key Takeaways The June 17th planetary parade has five planets visible to the naked eye simultaneously. That’s a rare astronomical event and a powerful metaphor for inner alignment. Each planet in the parade represents a quality of inner authority: Mercury (clarity), Venus (self-worth), Mars (courage), Jupiter (expanded vision), Saturn (lived wisdom). Inner authority is the practical ability to trust your own knowing, even without outside approval. This is symbolized in this post by the star Regulus, part of the Leo constellation that is also referred to as the Heart of the Lion. Self-trust isn’t built by waiting until you feel confident. It grows by taking action on what you already know. Women in midlife already possess the wisdom they’re searching for which has been shaped by decades of navigating relationships, reinvention, and lived experience. FAQs Do I need any special equipment to see the planetary parade on June 17th? No equipment is needed. All five planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) are visible to the naked eye after sunset. Find a spot with a clear horizon and give your eyes a few minutes to adjust. Find details on exactly when and where to look on the NASA site. What makes this planetary alignment different from others? Five planets visible simultaneously in a clear line across the sky is genuinely uncommon. While alignments happen throughout the year, this one is paired with Regulus and later the Milky Way, making June a full month of striking sky events rather than a single night. I’m not into astrology. Can I still get something from this? Yes, the planetary meanings here are metaphor, not forecast. You don’t need to believe the planets influence your life to find the reflection useful. Think of it as a visual framework for qualities like courage, clarity, and wisdom you’re likely already developing. Why does inner authority feel harder to access in midlife? Because the habits of earlier life run deep. Prioritizing others, seeking external validation, and deferring to experts become ingrained over decades. Midlife loosens some of those external demands, which creates both the space and the invitation to finally turn inward. How do I actually start building more self-trust? Start with one small action. Follow an inner nudge, make a decision you’ve been postponing, or trust your read on a situation without polling others first. Self-trust is built through practice, not through waiting until you feel ready. The post What June’s Planetary Parade Reveals About Inner Authority appeared first on Intuitive Edge. | — | ||||||
| 5/28/26 | ![]() Midlife Women Start Seeing the Synchronicities Everywhere | Something shifts in midlife that’s hard to explain until it happens to you. You start noticing signs and catch on to the meaning of synchronicities faster and more often. For example, it might be song lyrics that answer the question on your mind. A person you randomly think about suddenly texts. The book that suddenly falls off the shelf has a message in the title. You might see repeating symbols, angel numbers, or get tiny nudges. Sometimes you encounter strange timing that feels too precise to dismiss. That’s not a bunch of coincidences. Spiritual Antenna What I’ve discovered is that midlife seems to heighten your awareness of synchronicities and intuitive guidance. It’s as if your spiritual antenna gets stronger with age, experience, and a deeper trust in yourself. A few years ago, during a difficult period when I was struggling emotionally, I began working with a body-centered healing practice called the Power of Gesture. The idea was simple. Create a physical movement that embodied the emotional state you wanted to experience more fully. The gesture I created became what I called the “Sunflower Pose“. Standing with my feet slightly apart, I slowly raised my hands from prayer position at my heart up toward the sky, opening my arms wide as if embracing the sun. As I did this, I spoke these words:. “I surrender to my higher self and open to the divine flow of creativity, abundance, joy.” It sounds simple, but something profound shifted. Soon afterward, sunflowers started appearing everywhere. In grocery stores, online, a card picked from an oracle cards. Even on random signs and advertisements. Curious, I looked up the spiritual symbolism of sunflowers and was pleasantly surprised. Sunflowers represent joy, resilience, optimism, abundance, and spiritual truth. That’s exactly what I’d been seeking. The synchronicities felt affirming, like the Universe itself was responding or my higher self was sending a message. That experience changed how I understand synchronicities, midlife and the magic that is part of it. Midlife and Intuition At this stage of life, women often become far more intuitive because you now know yourself so much better. You care less about what others think, spend less time people pleasing, and become more aligned and true to yourself. Your discernment sharpens and your inner authority grows stronger. And because of that, you begin noticing the subtle messages more frequently, that were probably there all along. That’s what Midlife Magic means to me, that guidance appears magically as needed and you can rely on your intuition more than ever. This is a phase when you can become deeply attuned to your own inner knowing. I’ve experienced this countless times since entering my fifties. Once, during a energy clearing session, I was guided to seek help from the ancient Roman goddess Abundantia, whom I had never heard of before. Over the next few weeks, references to her appeared everywhere. A friend happened to own ancient coins with her image. I discovered I already had a picture of her tucked away in my home with no memory of acquiring it. Then I randomly pulled her card from a goddess oracle deck. Ok that was not a series of simple coincidences. The Meaning of Synchronicities I see them as confirmation. Little clues that remind you that you are supported, guided, and moving in the right direction. They can give you a heads up that something important is happening and it’s time to pay attention. One thing that’s good to know is that magical occurrences aren’t always big or dramatic, but they still matter. One afternoon, after a deep conversation with a friend about life and uncertainty, we walked back to the cars together. I’m not sure why, but I looked down at one point and saw a four-leaf clover right at my feet. That tiny moment stands out because it provided a sign that all is good. After all, four-leaf clovers are known for being lucky. That left me with such a good feeling about everything we discussed. That’s the thing about synchronicities. The more you notice, the more they seem to appear. Maybe the universe or your guides, angels, or even your higher self are always leaving clues. In midlife, that’s the time women become wise enough and brave enough to trust the signs and follow them. If this resonates, I invite you to be open to and notice the synchronicities that are happening all around you. They have a message for you and are there to gently guide you on life’s path. Key Takeaways Midlife often heightens intuition and spiritual awareness. Synchronicities offer meaningful guidance, rather than just being random coincidences. Life experience strengthens discernment, self-trust, and inner knowing. Heeding signs, symbols, and intuitive nudges can reduce self-doubt. Midlife magic is about perception, intuition, alignment, and awareness. Tiny synchronicities can be just as meaningful as dramatic ones. The more open you are to noticing synchronicities, the more often they seem to appear. FAQs What is the meaning of synchronicities? Synchronicities are meaningful coincidences that seem to carry guidance, confirmation, or deeper personal significance. Many people experience them as signs from the universe, spirit, their higher self, or intuitive wisdom. Why do synchronicities seem stronger in midlife? Midlife often brings greater self-awareness, emotional maturity, and trust in your intuition. As women become less focused on external validation, they become more perceptive of subtle signs and inner guidance. Is noticing signs spiritual or psychological? It can be viewed either way. Some people see synchronicities as spiritual guidance, while others see them as increased awareness and pattern recognition. Either perspective can still provide comfort, clarity, and meaning. What counts as a synchronicity? Things that come to your awareness repeatedly like symbols, chance encounters, meaningful timing, vivid dreams, intuitive hits, songs with perfect messages. It might also include finding objects at meaningful moments, or thinking of someone right before they contact you. How can I become more aware of synchronicities? Set an intention to notice them. Slow down, stay present, and pay attention to repeated themes, symbols, or feelings. Keeping track with a journal also helps you recognize patterns over time. Can synchronicities help with decision-making? Many people experience synchronicities as confirmation that they are moving in the right direction. While they shouldn’t replace practical judgment, they can strengthen self-trust and intuitive clarity. What is “Midlife Magic”? Midlife magic is how I define the increased sense of intuition, alignment, inner wisdom, and meaningful connection many women experience as they hit their 40s and 50s and beyond. Many find themselves going deeper into self-trust, authenticity, and inner authority. The post Midlife Women Start Seeing the Synchronicities Everywhere appeared first on Intuitive Edge. | — | ||||||
| 5/21/26 | ![]() I Just Want To Quit, But I Don’t Want To Be A Quitter | You’re ready to throw in the towel, but you feel torn. You think, “I want to quit” but that seems terrible. What does that say about you if you just walk away? Torturous thoughts creep in like leaving is a huge sign of weakness. Or that you don’t have what it takes to stick with something. But what if that urge to walk away isn’t a weakness at all? What if it’s your inner wisdom trying to get your attention? Quitter Is the Wrong Label Labeling yourself a quitter might not be valid. Sometimes a situation simply isn’t a good fit, or the timing is off. The opportunity might not be for your highest good, and perhaps something better is waiting once you become available. But how do you know the difference? Here’s the honest answer – it depends. No blanket statement works for every situation. This is a place where trusting yourself and your inner knowing is essential. Think about if you’re the kind of person who is always chasing the newest thing, abandoning what you’re working on for the latest shiny object. That might be a sign to hang in a bit longer and give what you’re doing a fair shake. On the other hand, maybe you’re the type who holds on longer than makes sense because of security, loyalty, or a sense of duty. Perhaps you have fear about letting go. You have plenty of stick-to-itiveness, maybe too much for your own good. Sticking with something and seeing it through does build a sense of certainty that you gave it a fair shot. It can develop strength and follow-through. Yet, sometimes you need to leave because a better opportunity is waiting. It could be one you’ll miss if you stay too long in a place that isn’t right for you. Questions Worth Asking Before making the call to stay or go, take time to reflect and ask yourself: Have I really given this my all? Do I want to quit because I’m bored? Do I want to leave because I fear it won’t work out? Am I recognizing a pattern that’s worth examining? Did I just lose steam on this idea? Am I hitting my head against a wall and need to walk away? Am I being stubborn and hanging in there because I don’t know what else to do? Is this situation eroding my self-confidence and making me feel smaller? Your answers will tell you a great deal. And when you’ve tried everything, talked to experts, friends, family, and adjusted your approach, but things still aren’t moving forward, that’s important information. It can be a sign that what you’re working on is out of alignment with your highest good, no matter how much you want it to work. This could apply to a job, a business idea, a relationship, a course, or even a habit you’ve been trying to build. When your gut is telling you clearly and consistently that something isn’t working, it’s worth listening. Real-Life Examples of Conscious Quitting The Landmark Seminar Years ago, I completed the EST training, now called Landmark, a two-weekend personal development workshop. Afterward, I joined an 8–10 week seminar with my cousin to continue the work. Each week we’d gather to collaborate on a long-term group project. The problem? A lot of people stopped showing up. And instead of focusing on the work, the group leaders spent most of every 90-minute meeting scolding the people who were there about the people who weren’t. The leadership had taken their eyes off the ball, and nothing was getting accomplished. By the sixth week, my intuition was screaming at me to stop wasting my time. So, I left. The following week, members of the group called me a quitter. My cousin defended me and then quit herself since it all seemed ridiculous. Was I a quitter? No. I left because the group hadn’t kept its commitment to the participants. Leaving was the right call. Two Decades of Coaching I’ve tried a variety of coaching niches over the years, from dating coaching, marketing coaching, life coaching, and the most recent – intuitive coaching. I stuck with dating coaching the longest, over 20 years, with genuine success and many positive milestones. But with the other niches, my inner knowing consistently nudged me to move on when nothing was clicking. It would show up as a pit in my stomach, or an intuitive sense that things weren’t headed in the right direction. Most of those ideas simply didn’t fly, so I dropped them. Does that make me a quitter? Or does that make me a smart businesswoman who chose to cut her losses and try something new? I’d argue it’s the latter every time. How to Trust Your Inner Wisdom The only reliable way to navigate the stay-or-go question is to look within. Beyond the reflection questions suggested above, you can also try sitting quietly for a few minutes of stillness and ask yourself sincerely “Is it for my highest good to stay with this situation?” Then really listen and pay attention to what comes to you. Some answers arrive as a clear sense of knowing. Others show up as a feeling in your body, such as tension, relief, heaviness, or lightness. Over time, you’ll learn to recognize the signals that are uniquely yours. Your intuition won’t lead you astray. The more you practice listening to it, the more trustworthy it becomes. Taking care of yourself, setting boundaries and knowing what is right and not right for you, that my friend is something to feel very proud of. Quitting after making a conscious choice is an empowering step. And, relying on your intuition and trusting your inner wisdom make a huge difference in the way you live your life. That’s what makes you a wise woman. Key Takeaways Leaving isn’t the same as quitting. When a decision to walk away is conscious and well-considered, it’s an act of self-awareness, not weakness. Know your patterns. If you tend to abandon things quickly, stay a little longer. If you tend to hold on past the point of reason, give yourself permission to let go. Ask the hard questions first. Reflect before deciding, make sure you’ve genuinely tried, not just gone through the motions. Your body knows. Persistent gut feelings, dread, and a sense of stagnation are important and valid data points. Quitting what doesn’t fit creates space for what does. Walking away from the wrong thing is often what makes room for the right thing. Frequently Asked Questions How do I know if I’m quitting too soon or holding on too long? It usually comes down to your natural tendencies. If you’re someone who chases novelty, lean toward staying longer. If you’re someone who honors commitment to a fault, give yourself more permission to leave. The reflection questions listed above are a good starting point for sorting this out. Isn’t quitting a sign of failure? Not when it’s a deliberate, thoughtful decision. Failing and quitting are different things. Failure is a result; quitting, done consciously is a choice. Many highly successful people have walked away from things that weren’t working in order to redirect their energy toward what was. What if other people judge me for leaving? They might. In the Landmark example above, group members considered me a quitter. But other people’s judgments don’t make them right. You are the one living your life. You have the fullest picture of your situation, your needs, and what is right you. Can quitting actually be good for my well-being? Absolutely. Staying in situations that are fundamentally wrong for you out of guilt, fear, or stubbornness takes a real toll. Releasing what isn’t working reduces stress, preserves your energy, and often opens the door to something better. How do I stop feeling ashamed about a decision to leave? Reframe it. Walking away from what isn’t right for you isn’t something to be ashamed of. Instead, it’s something to feel proud of. It means you know yourself, you’re setting boundaries, and you’re taking care of your own well-being. That’s not weakness, that’s wisdom. | 5/14/26 | ![]() If Life Feels Difficult Lately, Blame May’s Astrology & Super Moon | Have you been looking at your life lately wondering why things feel off or out of sorts? Blame it on May’s astrology. Thankfully, things are basically fine on the surface. Yet underneath, there’s a strange feeling that’s subtle and even a little disconnected. May’s Astrology The things you used to rely on don’t feel the same anymore. Your routines and even your goals feel a bit out of sync. It’s as if parts of your life belong to a version of you that isn’t working anymore. You’re probably feeling some restlessness that comes and goes. There may be moments where you feel emotional without a clear reason. And, times when your energy dips, your focus drifts, or you catch yourself questioning decisions you once made easily. Underneath all of it, something is trying to get your attention. What you’re feeling right now makes sense when you consider this month’s astrology. It’s creating a very specific kind of internal movement. It’s subtle in some ways and intense in others, especially for midlife women already on a path of self-awareness and growth. This month is inviting you into a deeper relationship with yourself. If you’ve been feeling off, it may be because parts of you are shifting before your outer life has had a chance to catch up. Pluto Retrograde Brings Transformation A big part of May’s astrology begins with Pluto Retrograde. Pluto governs transformation, truth, power, and the subconscious. When Pluto moves into retrograde, its energy turns inward. Instead of external change, the focus becomes looking within. You may notice old patterns resurfacing. This might look like emotional reactions, thoughts, or relationship dynamics you believed you had already worked through. There can be moments where something small triggers a much deeper emotional response than expected. These old patterns are resurfacing to get your attention one more time. It’s like peeling another layer of the onion, revealing something deeper that’s ready to be released. For women in midlife who have already done a lot of inner work, this can feel confusing. You may wonder why this is happening again. What’s actually happening is refinement. Pluto is drawing your awareness toward deeper layers beneath what you’ve already healed. It’s showing you where your power still gets diluted, where you override your truth, or where old identities are lingering just enough to keep you out of alignment. You may especially notice this in relationships. Situations where you feel drained, obligated, or subtly resentful begin standing out more clearly. You may recognize where you say yes when your body wants to say no, or where you stay silent to keep the peace. These realizations may not arrive gently, but they are important and clarifying. The Taurus Super Moon Amplifies Everything At the same time, the Super Full Moon in Taurus is magnifying emotional awareness. Taurus is connected to stability, security, self-worth, comfort, and the physical experience of being alive. When the Moon is full in Taurus, these themes become more vivid and emotionally present. You may find yourself craving simplicity and wanting to slow down. You could wish your life felt more supportive, nourishing, and aligned with what actually matters to you now. At the same time, anything that isn’t aligned in those areas can feel much harder to tolerate. Your body is giving you information. There’s increased sensitivity to what supports you versus what drains you. Certain parts of life may no longer feel sustainable. For many women in midlife, this connects to a deeper question about security. What felt secure ten or twenty years ago may not hold the same meaning anymore. Your sense of security may be shifting from external validation toward trusting your own inner knowing. Mercury in Gemini Speeds Up Your Mind The next astrological layer involves Mercury in Gemini. Mercury governs communication, thinking, and perception. Gemini is mentally active, curious, and constantly moving between ideas. When Mercury enters Gemini, the mind speeds up. It can feel like the Universe suddenly turns the volume up on thoughts, conversations, signs, and inner messages. There may be moments of clarity followed by frustrating overthinking. You might feel pulled in multiple directions mentally, trying to understand what you’re feeling while also questioning it at the same time. This is where intuition often gets drowned out. Intuition tends to arrive as a whisper, first impression, or subtle knowing. Then the mind steps in to analyze, reinterpret, question, and dismiss it. By the time you’ve thought everything through, the original clarity can feel diluted. That’s why this month asks you to notice an important pattern. Are you honoring your intuition, or questioning it instead of trusting it? Mercury in Gemini brings brilliance, but it also creates mental clutter. Part of your work this month is learning how to hear yourself clearly beneath all the inner chatter. Why Life Feels Misaligned Right Now When you combine Pluto’s inner transformation, the Taurus Moon’s emotional clarity, and Mercury’s mental activity, a bigger picture begins to emerge. There may be a growing misalignment between your inner truth and the life structures you’ve relied on for years. Once you see that misalignment, it becomes difficult to ignore. Parts of you are evolving. Your needs are changing and your awareness is expanding. Yet some areas of your life haven’t adjusted to meet who you are becoming. That’s where the feeling of “this isn’t working anymore” comes from. Thankfully, nothing is going wrong with you. It’s about becoming more attuned to your true self. Part of you is ready for a different way of living, choosing, and being. Another part still wants the familiarity of old roles, expectations, and patterns. That internal tension can feel confusing, exhausting, or emotionally draining. But there is clarity underneath it. Your Inner Wisdom Is Speaking The good news is your intuition hasn’t gone anywhere. It’s always been there all along, offering guidance and waiting for you to listen. Your inner wisdom often speaks through your body first. You may notice heaviness after certain conversations or lightness after making an honest decision. You may feel drawn toward something that doesn’t fully make logical sense yet. This shift doesn’t require a massive overhaul. It simply asks you to notice more and pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface. This month holds the energy of listening to yourself more than rushing into action. You don’t have to solve everything immediately or reinvent your entire life overnight. You only need to start noticing what feels aligned and what doesn’t. Simple practices can help support this shift, like slowing down, walking, journaling, stretching, or taking a few quiet moments to check in with yourself before reacting automatically. In midlife, something within you is asking for a more honest relationship with yourself. A deeper trust. A way of living that reflects who you are now instead of who you used to be. If your life feels different lately, it may mean you’re finally becoming honest about what no longer fits or works and shifting into a period of greater alignment. And that’s a good thing. Key Takeaways May’s astrology is creating strong inner shifts and emotional awareness. Pluto retrograde is bringing old patterns and power dynamics to the surface. The Taurus Full Moon increases sensitivity around stability, self-worth, and sustainability. Mercury in Gemini can heighten intuition while also increasing overthinking. Feelings of misalignment may reflect growth rather than failure. This month supports reflection, self-trust, and listening to your inner guidance instead of rushing forward. FAQs Why does everything feel emotionally heavier lately? May’s astrology is amplifying emotional awareness and highlighting areas of life that no longer feel aligned or sustainable. What does Pluto retrograde do emotionally? Pluto retrograde brings old emotional patterns and subconscious dynamics back into awareness, so deeper healing and refinement can occur. Why am I overthinking so much right now? Mercury in Gemini speeds up mental activity, making it easier to second-guess yourself and harder to hear your intuition clearly. Is this a sign something is wrong with my life? Not necessarily. This astrology may be helping you recognize where your outer life no longer matches your inner truth. What should I focus on this month? Focus on listening to your inner knowing, paying attention to your energy, and noticing what feels supportive, honest, and aligned with who you are right now. | 2/12/26 | ![]() How My Intuition Kept Me Safe and Other Stories | Has your intuition ever kept you out of harm’s way? Mine did last week. And it reminded me how powerful our inner wisdom really is. The Power of Intuition and Mindset Shifts Today, I want to share two recent experiences. One is about a powerful mindset shift that surprised me. The other is about an intuitive message that quite possibly kept me from being injured. Both are examples of what I call Midlife Magic. Using energy, mindset, spiritual tools, and intuition to move through life with awareness and choice. There are certainly days when things don’t go my way. I’m not floating through life pretending everything is perfect. But even on hard days, I consciously choose how I respond. I process what I feel, and then I look for a perspective that supports me instead of drains me. That’s not spiritual bypassing. It’s intentional living. Midlife Magic is available to anyone who chooses it. And midlife, by the way, is whatever age you decide it is. You’re in charge of that. One of the gifts of this stage of life is wisdom. You’ve lived long enough to recognize patterns. You’ve made mistakes and learned from them. That wisdom shows up in small moments, in your ability to pause, to choose differently, to listen inward before reacting. And that’s where today’s first story begins. A Dubious Compliment Last week I received a LinkedIn message from a man I don’t know. He told me my astonishing smile brightened his entire day. Oh, I’m sure it did. If you’ve been online longer than five minutes, you know the pattern. Flattery. Vague admiration. A setup for something questionable. There were so many ways I could have reacted. I could have been annoyed. Disgusted. I could have reported him. I could have spiraled into irritation and let it affect my entire mood. Instead, I paused. And in that pause, I noticed something important. I didn’t actually want to experience any of those reactions. Yes, they were understandable. But I had another option. A thought popped into my head that felt lighter and more empowering. What if I just take the compliment as if it came from the Universe instead of from him? Not the motive. Not the person. Just the compliment. I deleted the message. But before I did, I allowed myself to imagine that my presence, my energy, my smile could brighten someone’s day. Whether he meant it sincerely was irrelevant. I chose to let that part be true for me. That’s Midlife Magic. Choose Where Your Energy Goes This isn’t about ignoring your feelings. First you feel and acknowledge them. Then you decide where your energy goes. This is a mindset shift. I didn’t need to analyze his intention or let irritation hijack my nervous system. I decided to focus on the version of me who moves through the world with ease and sparkle instead of armor and suspicion. And that choice changed how I felt. We all know how easy it is to spiral downward. One moment of yuck can drain your energy. Then you have to recover and that takes time and effort. But when you practice shifting perspective, you build a different pattern. Interestingly, research supports this. Studies from the National Institutes of Health show that happiness isn’t something that randomly appears. It’s shaped by what we repeatedly focus on and value. When you linger on a good moment, appreciate something small, or engage in something meaningful, you’re reinforcing neural pathways that make it easier to notice what’s working. Over time, those tiny choices train your brain to default toward steadiness rather than stress. And here’s the key: intuition becomes easier to hear when your nervous system feels safe and resourced. When you aren’t constantly frazzled, your inner voice gets clearer. Be Open, But Discerning A friend told me a story that beautifully illustrates this idea. Her nephew once saw a woman on Instagram he found attractive. He sent her a direct message that simply said, “What’s up?” Yes. That was it. The woman responded with, “Do I know you?” They started chatting and now they are happily married. I’m not suggesting you respond to every random message. Not at all. Discernment matters and so does safety. Yet, sometimes opportunity arrives in unexpected packaging. The lesson isn’t to always engage. It’s that you get to CHOOSE. You can stay open without abandoning your wisdom. You can be discerning without being closed. Where in your life could you be just a little more open? What has shown up recently that rubbed you the wrong way at first glance? And is there a silver lining you could take while leaving the rest behind? You don’t have to force positivity. You simply get to decide what something means to you. That’s real wisdom and power. Now let me share the story about how my intuition kept me safe. Intuitive Messages There’s a door in my house that leads from the family room to the garage. The locking mechanism has been slightly off for months, so the door has to be slammed to close properly. One freezing morning, after slamming it on my way out, I heard a calm inner voice say, “Look up.” There was no panic or fear. Just a quiet suggestion. So I turned around and looked up. Above the door hangs a large, heavy horseshoe, one of my husband’s blacksmith treasures. The two nails holding it in place were sticking out nearly an inch. It was hanging at an angle and could easily have fallen on one of us. If I hadn’t looked up, it very well might have. I immediately felt gratitude and said “Thank you” to the sender of that message. Later, my husband rehung it more securely. The crisis was averted. That calm inner message is what intuition often feels like for me. Not dramatic or loud. Just clear. This wasn’t the first time. Years ago, I heard an inner nudge to tell a barking dog, “I love you.” It sounded ridiculous. I almost ignored it. But I said it anyway. The dog stopped barking and never barked at me again. Over time, I’ve noticed patterns like this. Warnings about people. Guidance about jobs. Alerts about small dangers like a candle rolling out of its holder and burning the table. Ignoring Intuition Has Consequences When I was younger, I ignored these intuitive nudges and suffered the consequences. Now I don’t. That’s part of the wisdom that comes with midlife. You recognize patterns and trust your track record. Then, you pay attention to the information received. And that deep well of inner knowing is always available. Isn’t it time you accessed your inner wisdom and magic more deliberately?People who rely on their intuition have many advantages in life. Start by setting an intention to notice your intuition. Then keep an evidence journal. Write down the nudges you followed, the ones you ignored, and the outcomes. Pay attention to the feelings in your body. Tracking the evidence builds self-trust. It makes intuition feel real and reliable rather than vague or imaginary. Over time, those whispers stop feeling questionable and start feeling trustworthy. That’s Midlife Magic. And the best news is that it’s already inside you! The post How My Intuition Kept Me Safe and Other Stories appeared first on Intuitive Edge. | — | ||||||
| 2/5/26 | ![]() The Akashic Records – Get Ready for Deep Truth | Do you wonder about your past lives and how they might be impacting your life today? That’s what the Akashic Records are all about and my guest, Mary Madeiras explains everything beautifully. Mary is an Advanced Akashic Records Practitioner, author, and three-time Emmy award-winning television director. Yes, that combination is as interesting as it sounds. Her background provides a rare way of translating big spiritual ideas into language that makes sense. What Are the Akashic Records? Mary explains the Akashic Records in a way that people immediately get. They’re not some distant cosmic filing system reserved for mystics. The Records are a source of insight connected to your soul and higher awareness. Everything you have done in the past, are doing today, and possibly may do in the future can be found in one place. Don’t go to the Akashic Records to collect past-life trivia or dramatic stories to entertain yourself. This information or resource is meant for understanding patterns, gaining clarity on issues happening now, and most of all, remembering who you are. What surprises many people is how practical working with the Records can be. Clear answers are often found about questions regarding relationships, work, creativity, or your direction in life. These are all ideal queries for the Akashic Library. For Mary, accessing the Records feels less like a solemn ritual. Her experience shows up more like stepping into a curious, open conversation with a wiser part of herself. She’s encountered many wonderful revelations for her clients as well. How the Records Appear People often expect the Akashic Records to appear as a grand inner vision. You might see an ancient massive library filled with an endless sea of books. That image works beautifully for me and many others. However, Mary’s experience is very different. In fact, she doesn’t see a library at all. Instead, the information she receives comes through as a strong sense of knowing. Mary calls these impressions quantum visuals, meaning they aren’t pictures so much as complete ideas that arrive fully formed. Imagine a block of information downloading to your intuitive brain. Officially, this is called claircognizance or knowing. Mary doesn’t access her imagination or memory. The knowledge appears clear and direct in her mind, like it was brought there all at once. Over time, Mary learned to trust her intuition. She uses all of the “clairs” including listening, sensing, feeling, and knowing. This broader intuitive process allows the records to communicate in whatever way works best for each practitioner. It’s a relief for many people to hear that there’s no single right way to work with the Akashic. You don’t need dramatic inner movies or to hear voices to do this intuitive work. The message always matters more than the method of delivery. Past Lives Without the Drama The Akashic Records can reveal past lives, but not always the way you might expect. These stories aren’t about the details of a life, but more about context. Past-life information tends to surface when it helps explain something puzzling that’s happening now. Clients can learn about roles they once held, themes that keep repeating, or relationships that feel strangely familiar. I asked Mary if it was like the soap operas and we laughed! However, the valuable insights aren’t in the story itself. The information helps people understand their current choices, fears, and strengths. When viewed this way, past lives stop feeling abstract or like a curiosity. Your previous incarnations become a tool for insight, healing, and personal growth. Get the Ego Out of the Way One of the most important parts of Mary’s work is learning how to step aside mentally and emotionally. She does this by consciously setting her ego aside before opening the records. Imagine that she tells her ego to take a seat in the corner and be quiet. This matters because opinions, assumptions, and personal filters can easily distort intuitive information. By releasing the need to interpret or judge what comes through, Mary allows the guidance to remain clear. She becomes temporarily incapable of having an opinion during sessions, which is exactly what makes the information so valuable for clients. Fascinating Past Life Stories Some of the most memorable moments in Mary’s work come from retelling clues from the Records. One client who is an artist, had visited France and would always cry as she was leaving. She couldn’t understand what this was about. Through the Records, Mary discovered a past life in which the client had been apprenticed to a lesser-known painter, who she worked for and then married. She would finish his work for him as part of her job. What made the experience powerful was that it tied her travel to France with being an artist in this life. After doing some research, she figured out which painter she’d been married to. The Akashic reminded her of something old and familiar and connected them to make more sense. The Records Are Within One of Mary’s core teachings is that the Akashic Records are within you. You’re not separate from them, and the information isn’t hidden behind spiritual barriers. Turns out all of this data is part of your own energetic makeup. Across cultures and time periods, different traditions have pointed to this same idea. Edgar Cayce spoke about the records. The Bible refer to a Book of Life. Modern physics talks about fields of information and possibility. These are different languages, but all the same concept. Everything is connected, and your lessons are never truly lost. When you see the Akashic Records this way, they stop feeling mysterious or unreachable. They become something you can trust and access in your own way. A Lighter Way As our conversation came to a close, Mary shared a message that felt especially important and reassuring. Despite how chaotic the world seems right now, you are likely doing better than you think. There’s a tendency to believe you need fixing or that you are missing something essential. The records consistently suggest otherwise. Mary encourages people to notice what brings ease and enjoyment into their daily lives. Small moments of pleasure matter. Laughter matters. Feeling connected matters as well as doing what you love. These aren’t distractions from spiritual growth – they’re a big part of it! Live With Curiosity and Trust live with curiosity and trust The purpose of exploring the Akashic Records is to better understand your life and the lessons you’re learning. When you approach your personal development and spiritual growth with curiosity, your own insights and choices become easier. Decisions feel less pressurized. Mary’s work reminds you that wisdom doesn’t have to be heavy or dramatic. Sometimes it’s simple and even fun. Often, it’s waiting for you to stop striving and take the time to simply listen. | 1/29/26 | ![]() Here’s How You Know You’re Using Midlife Magic | Reaching the age of 50 isn’t when the magic fades, but when you encounter the midlife magic and inner wisdom that brings you greater peace and joy. Those small signs, strange coincidences, and odd little nudges you’ve been noticing are life trying to get your attention! Slow Down to See the Magic This is something I’ve been noticing more and more, both in my own life and in conversations with women like you. It’s subtle and often hard to name, yet once you begin to sense it, something shifts. Life starts to feel a little easier, more exciting, and unexpectedly richer. Midlife carries a particular kind of magic. Not the dramatic kind, but something subtle and more alive. A kind of magic that doesn’t announce itself loudly. Instead, it becomes visible when you slow down enough to notice what may have been present all along, waiting for your attention. For many women, this stage of life arrives with mixed feelings. On the surface, things are fine. You’re functioning, capable, and holding things together. Yet underneath, you might notice a low hum of restlessness. Friends have moved away. If you have children, maybe they’ve left home. Days can feel repetitive. Nothing is wrong, but something feels off. You may find yourself wondering if this is really all there is. That feeling doesn’t mean something has gone wrong. In fact, it may be a signal that something deeper is ready to emerge. The Subtle Shift in Midlife By the time you reach midlife, you’ve already lived a rich stretch of life. You’ve loved, adapted, endured, learned, and carried responsibility in countless visible and invisible ways. Even if you don’t always recognize it as wisdom, there is a depth of knowing that comes from navigating real experience over time. This is often the moment that quiet sense of blah surfaces, not as a failure, but as a signal that something deeper is ready to emerge. For many women, an internal shift begins to unfold. The constant drive to prove, push, or keep up starts to loosen its grip. You may care a little less about what others think. The outer noise dims just enough for you to sense something more subtle moving underneath it. What emerges is a different kind of awareness. A willingness to listen more closely to what’s happening around you and within you. There may be a growing curiosity about what feels meaningful now, rather than what once felt necessary or expected. Midlife doesn’t arrive with a clear announcement. It creeps in gradually, and then one day you realize you’re standing in a new phase. Yes, it may come with a few gray hairs, but it also brings the possibility of greater discernment, honesty with yourself, and a deeper connection to what truly matters. This stage of life naturally invites reflection and a slower, more intentional way of listening. You may find yourself relying less on figuring everything out and more on presence, patience, and awareness. Becoming the Wise Woman This is why I call you wise women, even if you don’t fully identify with that name yet. Wisdom isn’t about accumulating more information. It’s about recognizing and sensing what’s essential. You begin to trust what you’ve learned through experience and more of that can be cultivated over time. By midlife, your knowledge has had time to mature into meaningful insight. Your sense of inner authority may be emerging, even if you still look to others out of habit. With greater awareness and reflection, you may notice how your timing, decisions, and attention shape your life in more intuitive ways. The wise woman moves through life with discernment. She understands that clarity doesn’t always come through effort or logic alone, but through attention and reflection. This way of living can be strengthened with practice, support, and guidance. Even if you’re not fully living this way yet, you may already sense it’s possible. That knowing is important. It means the door is open. What Magic Looks Like When I talk about midlife magic, I’m talking about perception. The ability to notice underlying messages from your inner wisdom, higher self, or spirit. Magic lives in awareness. It shows up as moments of resonance, gentle guidance, and the feeling that life is quietly responding to you. You may notice synchronicities appearing more often, beauty landing more deeply, or intuition speaking more clearly. As internal noise quiets and striving eases, space opens. Your perception sharpens because you’re available to notice more. This connection doesn’t need to be summoned. It reveals itself naturally as you move through your day with openness and attention. One of the most reliable ways this magic appears is through beauty. Beauty that arises naturally and catches your attention. Light filtering through trees. Firelight flickering across a room. Snow falling into stillness. These moments slow you down and bring you into your body. They remind you that life is still offering meaning in quiet, accessible ways. This is why I spend time in my garden. Sitting near my zinnias, bordered by wild, unclaimed land, I feel connected to something larger. Over time, this practice has become a place of grounding, insight, and presence. The wisdom of the natural world has taught me that when we slow down and listen, guidance arrives. Synchronicity as Conversation Another way midlife magic reveals itself is through synchronicity. A book appears at the right moment. A thought is echoed by an unexpected phone call. A message arrives just when it’s needed. These moments can feel like a conversation with the Universe itself. A sense that something unseen is responding to your questions or intentions. I’ve experienced this many times, including during my years as a dating coach when a simple affirmation about writing for a women’s magazine turned into a four-year column through an unexpected conversation. This was no coincidence but an amazing response from the Universe. Even if you’re not fully living as a wise woman yet, you can learn to notice these moments. A wise woman pays attention, reflects, and allows meaning to unfold. The Return of Aliveness Here’s what feels important to say. The easing that comes in midlife isn’t due to a loss of vitality. Midlife can be a powerful time of trusting what you know and honoring the wisdom you’ve earned, while continuing to grow into deeper connection and awareness. When you begin to tune in this way, joy becomes less frantic and more luminous. Life feels responsive. Meaning expands. You don’t need to chase this magic. You simply need to notice where life already feels alive and engaged. Midlife isn’t a narrowing of life. It’s an opening into a more intimate relationship with yourself, with life, and with something greater. Something ancient and luminous is stirring within you now. As you slow down and pay attention, life begins to respond. This is where your magic lives — and it is only just beginning. It’s time to celebrate your wisdom and open to your midlife magic! | 1/22/26 | ![]() How To Use The Fire Element To Transform Your Life | Today, I’m talking about the element of fire. This is the third episode in my series on the elements. Last fall, I explored water and wind, what they represent and how to work with them in everyday life. The Element of Fire When I say fire, I mean the flames that warm you, cook your food, clear land, and forge metal. Fire is one of the few elements that feels instantly familiar and deeply mysterious at the same time. You’ve sat in front of a fire and felt its heat. You’ve probably stared into the flames and lost track of time, almost like a meditation. That alone tells you something important. For thousands of years, fire has been far more than a tool. It has been treated as a presence, revered as a teacher, and even honored as a deity. Across cultures, fire has been seen as a messenger between worlds, a force that connects the visible and invisible. In classical and esoteric traditions, fire is one of the four primary elements, alongside earth, water, and air. It’s associated with energy, passion, illumination, will, creation, destruction, and transformation. More than anything, fire is the element that changes things. Everything that touches fire is altered, and there is no undo button when it comes to flames. That’s exactly why mystics, shamans, and alchemists paid such close attention to it. When I talk about fire as a spiritual element, I’m talking about a force that burns away what no longer serves, illuminates what’s been hidden, and initiates transformation at a deep level. Fire is never subtle. Fire Across Time and Tradition If you look back through history, fire appears everywhere people were trying to understand life, death, and the unseen world. In ancient Greece, fire was considered a divine substance, famously stolen from the gods by Prometheus and given to humanity. That myth alone tells you how powerful fire was perceived to be. Fire wasn’t just heat, it was consciousness, creativity, and civilization itself. In Vedic and yogic traditions, the fire element is called tejas. Tejas represents inner radiance, metabolic energy, and illumination. It’s linked not only to digestion of food, but to digestion of experience, what you can process, integrate, and turn into wisdom. In Chinese philosophy, fire is one of five elements and is associated with the heart, joy, vitality, and spirit. When fire is balanced, there’s warmth and enthusiasm for life. When it’s excessive or depleted, it shows up as burnout, agitation, or a coldness of spirit. Celtic traditions placed fire at the center of seasonal festivals like Beltane and Samhain. Bonfires marked thresholds between worlds, protected communities, and ushered in new cycles. Fire was symbolic and practical. And in homes across the world, the hearth fire was the literal and energetic center of life. It’s where food was prepared, stories were told, and decisions were made. The hearth was both sacred and ordinary. When we work with fire today, we’re stepping into one of the oldest relationships humans have ever had with an element that could both sustain and destroy them. Fire demands respect and doesn’t negotiate. In return, it offers truth by stripping away illusion and getting to the core. Builder, Destroyer, and Catalyst for Change One of the most important things to understand about fire is its dual nature. Fire is both a builder and a destroyer. People usually think of fire’s destructive qualities, but destruction is not inherently bad. Fire clears old growth in the forest, so new life can emerge. It purifies, resets, and creates space. In alchemy and mysticism, this dual role is essential. Fire breaks structures down to their core components. From that essential place, something new can be formed. This mirrors an inner process many people experience, especially in midlife and beyond. There’s often a moment when what used to work no longer does. Old identities might feel restrictive and old patterns can feel exhausting. Maybe there’s an inner fire saying, “This cannot continue.” That inner fire isn’t trying to make you uncomfortable, but working to realign you. Fire doesn’t consider your comfort zone as it eliminates illusion to reveal the truth. Fire and Spiritual Alchemy In spiritual alchemy, fire is the heat that refines raw material into something clearer and more potent. Alchemists weren’t just trying to turn lead into gold. They were working to transform fear, emotion, and confusion into insight and clarity. That doesn’t happen without heat. Fire has long been described as a bearer of information, a force that accelerates transformation and amplifies subtle energy. In yogic and Buddhist traditions, balanced inner fire is linked with clear perception and intuitive awareness. You see more clearly. You digest experience instead of storing it as emotional baggage. This is why working with fire can feel clarifying and, at times, uncomfortable. Fire asks simple but powerful questions such as: What’s ready to be released? What truth is trying to surface? What no longer fits? If you’ve ever sat in front of a candle and had an unexpected realization, you already know how fire speaks. The Hearth and Everyday Alchemy For most of human history, the hearth fire represented safety, nourishment, and belonging. In Greek tradition, Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, embodying stillness and presence. In Irish tradition, Brigid carried the triple flame of hearth, forge, and inspiration, overseeing care, craft, and creativity. Cooking over fire is everyday alchemy. Raw ingredients are transformed into nourishment through heat, time, and attention. When you cook with awareness or light a candle with intention, you’re already working with fire as an ally. Fire for Manifesting and Divining Fire has also long been used for manifestation and divination. It creates momentum – just think of how a fire spreads so rapidly. Fire also shifts things from one state to another, responding to clarity and sincerity, rather than force or desperation. Across traditions, people burned symbols of what they wanted to release or manifest. Watching something physically transform signals completion to your nervous system. The flames help the body and psyche understand that a shift has occurred. Fire has also been used for divination, especially using a candle. Observing how a flame moves, steadies, flares, or resists lighting has long been a way of engaging intuition. Fire helps you reflect on what’s already present rathern than telling you what to do. One of the easiest ways to work with fire is by candle gazing, a practice found in yogic traditions called tratakah. Watching the flame steadies the mind, quiets mental chatter, and brings clarity. Listen to the podcast to discover several simple fire practices in the podcast. Message from the Element of Fire Intuitively. I’ve connected with the element of fire. A couple of years ago, my friend Krista and I sat in front of a fire. Suddenly she suggested we should “talk to the fire.” I was surprised, and honestly delighted, when I actually heard something. I had been told it takes years of training to speak with the elements. That’s no longer true. The energy on earth moves faster now. The veil is thinner. Many people have a higher vibration today. What I heard from the fire was simple and unmistakable: “I am powerful. I am destructive. I am creative. I am transformative. I am beautiful. I am warmth. I am dancing. I am passion.” That sounds exactly like fire, doesn’t it? Fire teaches through warmth and light, but also through endings and change. When you work with fire, you’re can’t control it. You’re partnering with a force that knows how to transform everything it touches. You listen, respect, and collaborate. Sometimes, that’s exactly the kind of magic you need. | 1/15/26 | ![]() Abracadabra: Words You Speak Have the Power to Change Everything | What does abracadabra mean? You’ve heard magicians in tuxedos say it, as well as children with magic wands. Maybe even in a Disney movie! It feels magical even if you’ve never stopped to ask why. It’s playful, mysterious, and seems to appear at the exact moment something changes. Today, I’m not talking about stage tricks or fairy tales. This is an invitation to reclaim the magic in words. Abracadabra was meant to heal and to shift energy, and offers a powerful doorway back to something ancient and surprisingly scientific. If you’ve ever felt stuck in the same mental loop, repeating the same old stories about yourself no matter how much inner work you’ve done, this is for you. The Magical Power of Your Words The words you speak shape your brain, your nervous system, and the life you quietly create every day. This is actually ancient and ties to the secret history of abracadabra. If you could travel back to the Roman Empire in the second century and told someone you were sick, they might prescribe something unexpected: Abracadabra – a word-based or spoken medicine. That’s when the earliest written record of abracadabra appears in a Roman medical text called Liber Medicinalis, written by a physician named Quintus Serenus Sammonicus. His instructions were precise. Write the word ABRACADABRA on parchment or metal. Then write it again below, removing the last letter. Continue line by line until only the letter “A” remains. The finished inverted triangle would be worn on a string around the neck, and was suggested for someone suffering from a fever. As the word diminished, letter by letter, the illness was believed to fade out too. Images of reconstructed abracadabra amulets still exist today and are physical evidence that words were once understood as active forces, rather than passive communication. What Does Abracadabra Mean? There isn’t one agreed upon translation, which is common with magical words. Many scholars trace it to Aramaic, a language closely related to ancient Hebrew, with meanings along the lines of “I create as I speak” or “it will be created in my words.” Others interpret the word as “let the thing be destroyed,” which fits the idea of illness shrinking away. There are also connections to Hebrew blessing traditions and to a Gnostic figure named Abraxas. You don’t need a perfect translation to grasp the shared belief underneath the theories. Saying something with intention, was believed to create change. Words shaped reality. A Form of Protection Between the third and seventh centuries, abracadabra also became a form of protection against misfortune and unseen forces. It was spoken, worn, and traced as a spiritual shield. Breath and sound were the tools. So when a magician says “abracadabra” before a big reveal, they’re unknowingly echoing an ancient understanding. The moment you speak is the moment something shifts. Words are spells, in the past and still today. Ancient cultures all over the world shared this concept. Mesopotamian incantations were used to drive out illness. Egyptian healers combined herbs with spoken formulas. Biblical traditions delivered blessings and curses through speech. To the ancient mind, words were a force. Name something and you gained power over it. Speak a blessing and you invited it closer. Today witches may talk of spells but the vast majority of the population doesn’t go there. However, it does show up and is acceptable when discussing neuroscience, psychology, and neural pathways. The actual mechanism is quite similar. See, the stories you repeat to yourself like, “I always mess things up,” “nothing ever works out,” or “I’m too old,” act like incantations. The charm is created through your own voice, and the impact is on your nervous system. Unfortunately, this type of mantra spoken unconsciously and without intentional crafting, can backfire, and could even prevent growth or improvement. After more than twenty years working with intuition and mindset, I’ve seen this pattern again and again. Change often doesn’t happen until awareness and usage of the language changes. The Neuroscience of Self-Talk Modern psychology has studied self-talk extensively. Self-talk includes the running commentary in your head and the sentences you speak about yourself and your life. Supportive, positive self-talk is consistently linked to lower anxiety, better coping skills, and greater resilience. Harsh, critical self-talk is linked to higher stress, increased worry, and decreased performance. On a brain level, negative language activates threat centers like the amygdala, while balanced, compassionate self-talk engages the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for regulation and problem-solving. A fascinating 2024 study from the NIH explored what happens when people hear affirming statements spoken in their own voice. Turns out hearing your own voice activates brain regions tied to identity and personal meaning more strongly than listening to someone else’s voice. This helps explain why a single kind sentence you say to yourself can calm your body, while a harsh one can feel crushing. When you speak to yourself, your brain treats it as deeply personal. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change with experience. Every thought or phrase you repeat creates a pathway. Repeat it often enough and that pathway becomes easier to access. Negative Inner Dialogue If your inner dialogue constantly says, “I’m stuck” or “nothing changes,” you’re reinforcing that route. When you begin practicing language like, “I’m learning” or “I’m allowed to begin again,” you start forging new trails. At first this might feel uncomfortable, but over time, the brain learns to favor them. In other words, the magic words you repeat most often becomes your reality. That’s everyday abracadabra isn’t it? Language affects your inner world and shapes how you perceive and interact with others. The brain loves consistency. It filters information to match the story you tell yourself or others. That’s how a belief becomes self-fulfilling, not because the universe is against you, but because your nervous system wants coherence. I’m not suggesting any kind of by passing, ignoring reality, or your feelings. However, you can acknowledge reality and still choose language that leaves room for growth. Examples include: “This is hard and I’m learning how to handle it.” “This hurts and I’m allowed to receive support.” “This didn’t go how I wanted and I’m still worthy of good things.” A Powerful Use of Words These thoughts or phrases are still like “abracadabra” because they are a powerful use of words. Ancient healers didn’t deny pain or discomfort. They combined practical care with ritual and language and you can do the same. Abracadabra, in its most empowering interpretation, means “I create as I speak.” Every time you describe who you are or want to become, your brain responds and so does the Universe. Possibilities open or close based on the language you choose. Listen to the podcast for the visualization I created to leverage Abracadabra and this idea of diminishing letter by letter to change a situation which updates your inner operating system. As you move through your day, notice how you talk about yourself. You don’t need to monitor every word. Just become curious about the ones that feel heavy or limiting. Then, gently replace them with language that aligns with the life you want to create. This is modern magic, neuroplasticity, and a daily practice, all in one exercise . Abracadabra and there you go! | 1/8/26 | ![]() How To Make a Good Decision Using Intuition Vs. Logic | Did you ever get a big, bold sign you didn’t request and had no idea what it meant? Such a sign can help you make a good decision. I’ve Never Seen Anything Like This A hawk slammed into my sliding glass door, holding a woodpecker in its talons. They struggled and tore the screen. I was so disturbed that I banged on the door to make it stop. The hawk flew onto the deck, prey in its grip, sitting there as the life drained out of the woodpecker. I stood there stunned, asking myself, what could this possibly mean? The Background Before getting into the symbolism, it helps to know where I was emotionally that day. I had been deep in the process of reworking my branding for the past couple of months, which capped off a long 14 months of rethinking what I offer and who I’m best positioned to help. There’s no single “right” answer when it comes to branding, but I desperately didn’t want to get it wrong. That fear led to a kind of freeze with overthinking and no forward movement. Ironically, that same morning I finally made a decision. By the afternoon, I was relaxing for the first time in a while, reading, when the commotion outside my glass door happened. I wasn’t looking for a sign, which made it all the more unsettling. The Backstory To understand what I witnessed and why, I first looked inward. The message that came through was clear. “The time for struggle and indecision was over. It was time to rise above, take action, and engage.” Later, I looked up the symbolism. The woodpecker is often associated with persistence and attention to detail. Birds of prey, like hawks, represent vision, decisiveness, and the ability to see the bigger picture. Hawks are also widely seen as messengers from spirit and intuition. When these two show up together, the message becomes hard to miss. For me, this was a dramatic signal that I was entering a new phase. One of transformation and divine timing. Stop getting lost in the details. See the bigger picture. Move on. That hit home. I had been lost in the details. From a logical standpoint, I was asking all the “right” questions. Would people resonate with my work? Was I making a smart business decision? Did this align with my skills and solve real problems for clients? When Logic Is a Dead End From an intuitive perspective, the questions were different. Does this feel aligned with my highest good? Does the energy feel expansive? Does it make me happy? Logic is useful, especially in business. Lists of pros and cons have their place. But at some point, logic had taken me as far as it could. What I needed next was inner knowing. Turns out branding is more of an art than a science and it left me feeling raw and vulnerable. The key realization was there’s a big difference between strategic branding and energetic alignment. Logic had led me to a dead end. Now intuition needed to take the lead. That morning, I finally listened. I made a choice that felt right in my body. And then, just hours later, the hawk and woodpecker appeared. As a sign, I will absolutely pay attention. The message was clear. Get out of my head. Stop circling the details. Focus on the big picture. Trust how things feel in my body. Then act. This is how intuition speaks to me when I stop forcing answers. Sometimes gently and other times dramatically. Either way, it gets my attention. And this is a perfect example of how magic shows up too. My advice as an Intuitive Life Coach is simple… When you see a sign, pay attention. Reflect on what it means to you, and then follow through. How Intuition Shows Up There are actually many ways intuition shows up. Some people receive visual images (clairvoyance). Others hear inner guidance (clairaudience). Some just know without explanation (claircognizance). Still others, receive information through the feelings in the body (clairsentience). These are all valid. Over time, I’ve learned to use and trust all of them. But connecting with my body is relatively new and it’s been fascinating. That body-based intuition showed up again recently in a much more ordinary situation. I need a new couch after my last purchase wore out shockingly fast. I visited a couple of higher-end furniture stores and found beautiful options with big price tags. Then I found a similar couch at a mid-range store for half the price. Logical choice, right? I called a friend with high-end design experience. She agreed the construction and materials were solid so thought it was OK to buy the cheaper one. I was so relieved! My Body Reacted But when I went back to return the fabric samples at the high-end store, they placed the fabric on the couch one more time. My body reacted instantly as my shoulders relaxed. I took a deep breath and felt calm and comfortable. That was my answer! Logically, the cheaper couch made sense. Intuitively, my body told a different story. I trusted it. This kind of inner knowing doesn’t just apply to big decisions or purchases. It can show up in very personal, physical ways too. Another Clairsentience Example Just before the holidays, I woke up one morning with a frozen shoulder which means severe pain and almost no movement. I tried chiropractic care and acupuncture, with slight improvement. On the fifth day, I heard a single word internally: magnesium. I took supplements and then soaked in an Epsom salt bath. Within an hour, I could move my arm. Two days later, I was fully healed. Again, my body had the information. I just had to listen. And that’s really the heart of this conversation. Where do you get stuck when making decisions? Have you exhausted logic and analysis? Have you ignored signs or overridden what your body was telling you? Decision Making At the end of the day, decision making isn’t about finding the perfect answer. It’s about being honest with yourself, especially when logic has done all it can. There are times when further analysis will not produce a result. That’s when it’s time to start listening. Sometimes intuition whispers. Other times it shows up loudly like a hawk slamming into your window. When something truly feels right, your system relaxes. Your breath deepens. The struggle eases. That’s how you know. This is not because it makes sense on paper, but because something inside you calms down. When that happens, the decision is already made. Your only job is to honor it. Awaken Your Sixth Sense If you want to strengthen your intuitive awareness this year, I have a self-paced program called Awaken Your Sixth Sense, designed to help you recognize and trust how intuition speaks to you. It has seven lessons with lots of methods, tips and experiences, so you can build your intuition and start to trust it more. And maybe that’s the real invitation. It’s time to practice listening to your inner knowing, and trusting it. That’s how to live aligned with your highest path and your soul. The post How To Make a Good Decision Using Intuition Vs. | 1/2/26 | ![]() The Extraordinary Way Magic Can Free Up Your Life | The latest episode of the Breathe Love & Magic Podcast explores Liberation Magic. We talk about magic and manifestation, and how it can genuinely shift your life. It’s time to move beyond rules and “doing it right” to reconnect with your spiritual core. This conversation with Maritza Schafer, founder of Bruja School, is one of those grounding and warm reminders that magic isn’t something you learn, but something you remember. Manifesting Myth Trips People Up Have you ever been told that you’re “not manifesting correctly,” and that’s why what you want hasn’t shown up yet? What a horrible and discouraging message which could make you want to give up entirely. I remember when someone said it to me! That’s why Maritza offers Liberation Magic — a way of working with magic that frees you from the metaphysical industry’s criticism, rules, and the idea that you’re somehow doing it wrong. Liberation magic invites you to return to your intuition, your energy, and your deeper spiritual truth. When things aren’t moving in your life, it’s rarely because you’re broken or incapable. More often, it’s because we’ve been trying to create from the surface instead of from connection. Liberation magic asks you to slow down, drop beneath the noise, and listen for the wisdom that’s already guiding you. Magic – Technology for Transformation So what is magic, really? Maritza describes it beautifully as “a technology for transformation.” It’s a collection of tools, practices, and spiritual intentions that help shift what feels stuck and invites something new to emerge. Magic is far more than passive wishing. It’s intentional, soulful participation with life’s energy! When you merge a spiritual component with your intentions, something softens and opens. The process doesn’t feel heavy or forced. Your desires have a way of coming into being because they’re rooted in alignment, not effort alone. Think of it as learning to see your life through a spiritual lens where intention matters, energy matters, and presence itself becomes powerful. Mystical Garlic Planting I told a story about using magic when I planted my garlic this fall. Right from the start, When I planted the garlic, I didn’t just push cloves into the soil, fertilize, water, and walk away. I planted at twilight — that quiet, liminal space between day and night, when the veil feels thinner. Then, I connected with the land and greeted the spirits and elemental forces. Next, I offered gratitude and asked to collaborate with them as the garden begins it’s cycle of growth again. The reason is not because someone told me that’s how it’s done or good to do. This is how I live when I’m tuned into nature. As I listen to spirit and connect with my own inner knowing, everything comes alive. And that’s the heart of liberation magic – where magic and manifestation meet. It’s not dones as a technique, but as a connection to spirit and life itself. Magic as a Way of Life Magic isn’t only something you use when you want something to change. It can be how you move through the world. Maritza encourages her students to deepen their awareness of the moment they’re in — the energy, the land, the subtle signals that are always communicating with us. That might look like ritual or meditation. You might simply notice your breath while you’re standing at the sink or looking out a window. When spirituality becomes woven into daily life, you begin to move with the rhythms of the earth instead of against them. Challenges don’t disappear, but your relationship to them changes. You meet life with more grace, more steadiness, and more trust. Remember the Magic Many people are drawn to magic because something feels missing. Maritza about this clearly —longing is often a call back to spiritual connection that’s been overshadowed by responsibility, expectation, and noise. As you reconnect, you remember something essential. You are not separate from spirit, but part of it. Remembering brings a deep sense of belonging and the awareness that you are a magical being with access to far more wisdom than you might imagine. Let Go of “Should” and Find What’s True One of the most liberating aspects of Maritza’s work is releasing the burden of expectation. There is no single right way to practice magic. No gold star for doing it perfectly. No spiritual hierarchy. Your path is sacred because it’s your own. When students let go of comparison and external judgment, they often feel an enormous sense of relief. Magic becomes about self-discovery instead of performance. Confidence grows naturally when you stop trying to meet someone else’s definition of spiritual correctness. Walking Your Own Spiritual Path Liberation magic doesn’t require elaborate rituals or rigid structures. It asks for awareness. By understanding your energy and setting intention with presence, magic can move through your everyday life — in conversations, decisions, and quiet moments of choice. One of the greatest gifts of a spiritual path is realizing that the power you’ve been seeking has been with you all along. Each step taken with awareness makes the next one clearer, lighter, and more enchanted. Energy Awareness as a Path to Freedom At the heart of liberation magic is energetic awareness. When you learn to notice energy, both yours and the space around you, you gain the power to choose. Simple practices like pausing, breathing, and checking in with yourself can shift everything. Imagine a stressful moment. Now, instead of reacting, you can simply stop, breathe, and notice what’s present. That awareness alone can move you from chaos into calm, from contraction into clarity. Living an Empowered, Magical Life Ultimately, liberation magic is about feeling empowered. It strengthens your spiritual connection and reminds you of your place within the larger web of life. From that place, change becomes possible through alignment. Magic isn’t something you do once in a while. As Maritza so beautifully teaches, it’s a way of living. You trust your gut, cut through the noise, and allow life to work with you instead of against you. Honestly, that’s the kind of magic I want for everyone.
