| 6/21/26 | ![]() Paul Jukes - Advice from a Father to a Son (Father's Day 2026) | In the Apostle Paul's letter to Philemon, we read of Onesimus, the former slave and now fugitive who had escaped from his master Philemon but became a follower of Jesus whilst with Paul in Rome. This letter is Paul's appeal to Philemon to forgive and welcome back his former slave. In this message, Paul Jukes highlights 3 characteristics that define a son. Firstly, a true son must face his past in order to step into his future. Secondly, a true son embraces a new identity as a son and no longer a slave and finally, a true son is covered by sacrificial love. Just as Paul offered to pay Onesimus' debts and Philemon presumably sacrificed his professional reputation, Jesus paid the price for our sin on the cross because of His love for us. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 6/14/26 | ![]() Ben Hodgson - Living with Hope | As part of our focus on the Persecuted Church, Ben shared a message about living with hope, even in the face of persecution, suffering and troubles. In Paul's second letter to the church in Corinth, he writes, "our light and momentary troubles" which are, "achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:17). Our suffering and the suffering of the persecuted church in general, is light and temporary in comparison to the weight and length of eternal glory that we are to receive in the future, and our suffering has deep meaning and rich purpose beyond what we can see on the surface. | 6/7/26 | ![]() Open Doors - God of the Impossible | Special guest, Dan from from Open Doors, shared a number of inspiring stories from the persecuted church around the world as part of his message titled, 'God of the Impossible'. Just like the first church in the book of Acts, the church of today continues to grow despite violent persecution. In Acts 12, we read about the death of James and Peter's miraculous escape from prison. Even in the face of persecution, God continues to do impossible things. Nothing is impossible for God; therefore, all that we need to do is trust Him. The church were earnestly praying for the release of Peter and it happened; therefore, it is clear that our responsibility is to fervently pray courageous, even impossible, prayers today. | 5/31/26 | ![]() Sara Jukes - A Community of power: Transformation | What if the ordinary parts of your life could be transformed into something extraordinary? Jesus took ordinary water and transformed it into the best wine at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11). This transformation was birthed out of the obedience of the wedding servants who were instructed to follow Jesus' instructions. Jesus' kindness in saving the family from the shame of running out of wine, amplified the transformation. The transformation was abundant. Jesus didn't just provide enough, the amount of wine was extravagant. Similarly, the Great commission (Matthew 28) requires us to breathe new life, obedience, care and also abundance. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 5/24/26 | ![]() Paul Jukes - A Community of power: What’s so special about Pentecost? | On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were all together and heard a sound like a violent wind from heaven, they saw what seemed to be tongues of fire, and all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues (Acts 2). The disciples went from timid people to courageous people, from inward-looking people to outward looking and they were all empowered to speak. Finally, Pentecost created a new, unified community. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 5/17/26 | ![]() Sara Jukes - Living as Kingdom Children (Dedication Sunday 2026) | In Luke 18, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, ... for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." On Dedication Sunday, Sara Jukes looked at the hindrances to childlike faith and the qualities of kingdom children. We need to be Jesus centred rather than self-centred, rooted in God rather than shallow, together and dependent instead of egocentric, broad in faith rather than narrow minded and far-reaching instead of selfish. In order to go through the narrow gate, we need to decrease and go low like little children. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 5/10/26 | ![]() Phil Knox - Good News People | With 2.4 billion Christians in the world, we are part of something amazing! One of the reasons that the Evangelical Alliance exists is because the world needs good news people in a bad news world. Guest speaker Phil Knox (Evangelical Alliance) shared about the characteristics of Good News People based on Colossians 1, verses 1-14. Good news, people are relational (verse 7), prayerful (verses 3 and 9), and they matter because they are part of God's rescue plan of bringing people out of the dominion of darkness and into the kingdom of light (verses 13 and 14). -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 5/3/26 | ![]() Ben Hodgson - Births, Baptisms and Burials (Baptism Sunday 2026) | When all the people were being baptised, Jesus was baptised in the Jordan river too (Luke 3:21). When we get baptised today, we can know that Jesus is stood there with us, praying and identifying himself with us. Baptism is one way in which we can identify ourselves with Jesus and follow in His footsteps. As He was baptised, Jesus was announced as God's son. We too, can be born of God, if we choose to receive Him and believe in Him (John 1:12-13). Finally, just as Jesus' burial proved that he had died and paved the way for his resurrection, we too are buried with him through baptism, and just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may receive new life (Romans 6:4.) -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||

| 2/8/26 | ![]() Sara Jukes - God's Global Heart (International Sunday 2026) | On Sunday 8th February, we celebrated all of the many nations represented at Breathe New Life Church. Sara Jukes shared a message about God's global heart, based on chapters 3 and 4 in Acts. In the face of threats, imprisonment and persecution, the early church were a praying community. After they prayed (Acts 4:31), they were unified as one in heart and mind and became a caring community. As a result, they also became a worldwide community of power as they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. If we pray together, we too can be a worldwide community of prayer, care and power. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 2/1/26 | ![]() Paul Jukes - Why do we Give? (Offering Sunday 2026) | In his message on Offering Sunday 2026, Ps Paul Jukes challenged us to consider our motives when giving to God. In scripture, there are those who give to show off what they have, those who give with the expectation to be paid back and those who give to fulfil their religious duty. These types of givers will only ever receive short-term fulfilment. If we're looking for long-term fulfilment and eternal rewards, our motive for giving should be to give wholeheartedly to the Lord, like Mary who anointed the feet of Jesus with perfume worth a year's wages (John 12:3). Mary was influenced by worship and service and her reward was the presence of Jesus and the favour of God. There is nothing more precious than that! -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 1/25/26 | ![]() Paul and Sara Jukes - Fulfilment (Vision Sunday 2026) | On Vision Sunday, our Senior Pastors Paul and Sara Jukes unpacked our vision focus for the year; a year of Fulfilment. Based on Ephesians 1:22-23 which states that God placed everything under the feet of Jesus, appointed Him to be the head over His church, which is the body of Christ, the fulness of Him who fills everything in every way. As we grow in maturity individually, the church also grows in love, which is the fulfilment of the Law (Romans 13:10). Both Paul and Sara shared about how we are to become a worldwide caring community by loving our brothers and sisters around the world. We'll then become worldwide praying community and finally, a worldwide community of power. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 1/18/26 | ![]() Sara Jukes - Reflect, Release and Renew (Review Sunday 2026) | In this message on Review Sunday, Sara Jukes used the example of King David to model 3 things we can do in order to approach our past in a healthy way. Firstly to reflect, then to release and finally to renew. Our past experiences are important because they help to form us; however, we need to allow our past gratitude to shape our future attitude, and in order to grow beyond our yesterday, we should give thanks for our struggles and allow them to shape us and for God to give us victory in our future. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
| 1/11/26 | ![]() Ben Hodgson - What Qualities is God looking for in a Volunteer? (Volunteer Sunday 2026) | On Volunteer Sunday, Ben shared about the three stages of Gideon's army (Judges 6 and 7) and three qualities that God is looking for in a volunteer. Firstly, there were 32,000 warriors who responded to Gideon's call to arms and who declared themselves available, which is the first quality. The second quality is authenticity. 22,000 warriors admitted that they were afraid and were free to leave the battlefield. Similarly, the church is a body, and we are there to stand in the gap and support one another through difficult seasons of life. The final 300 men were selected for battle by God Himself, therefore the final quality is to be appointed by God. It is important that we all await our appointment from God who has a specific role and place for each of us. Like Gideon, Jesus made himself available, shared our humanity and vulnerability and knows what it is like to be rejected by man but appointed by God. -------- For more information about Breathe New Life Church or if you'd like to make a decision to follow Jesus, visit our website here: https://breathenewlife.church/becomeachristian | — | ||||||
