The construction of the Mishkan demonstrates this principle: although the structure was too heavy for Moshe to erect, God told him to act as if he were lifting it while Hashem completed the task, revealing that God’s dwelling in the world is established through the efforts of the tzaddik together with divine assistance. In the same way, the tzaddikim of every generation help build the spiritual dwelling place of the Shekhinah within the world and within the Jewish people.
