Don’t Hide Sin. Bring It to the Light

What do we do with sin in our lives? In Part 2 of So That You May Know, we look at 1 John and are reminded that real faith doesn’t ignore sin or hide it, it brings it into the light. Because God is light, we can’t claim to follow Him while holding on to darkness. Instead, we’re invited to confess our sin, agree with God about what’s true, and experience the freedom that comes through Jesus. Questions for Reflection: • Is there anything in my life I’ve been hiding or excusing instead of bringing into the light? • What would it look like for me to practice honest confession before God this week?
