#153 The Seven of Pentacles This is a card of sustainability, of harvesting what you need versus taking it all. Melissa sees this card of taking all the intentions and goals you harvest. There is some frustration involved, which makes this similar to the other suit sevens. There may be some harsh reality of working hard and either succeeding (RWS) versus the Luna Sol Tarot which is Thoth-based. Hilary says this card is the “pick your hard” card. There’s so much going on with the number seven, both in general and in tarot’s structure and mythology. Across history, and in many cultures there’s so many associations with the number seven. There are seven days of the week. Seven continents with seven seas. Seven colors of a rainbow. Seven major stars in the big dipper. Seven deadly sins and virtues. Seven notes in a major/minor scale. Seven chakras. Seven wonders of the ancient and natural world. Seven metals of antiquity. In tarot, seven has a mixed reception. Melissa’s represents the sevens as conflict, and impatience.
