The Catholic Nerds nerd out with Dr. Erin Brewer and Maria Keffler about protecting our kids from the plague of gender confusion and gender reassignment surgery. Dr. Erin Brewer and Maria Keffler are the co-founders of Advocates Protecting Children and will be honored as the Activists of the Year at the 2022 Ruth Institute Summit.  Erin and Maria are the authors and co-authors of lots of great books! Erin wrote a children’s book, Always Erin; Transing Our Children; Desist, Detrans, & Detox: Getting Your Child out of the Gender Cult. Together, they created the devotional Gentle Leadings, as well. Erin and Maria created the video series and book: Commonsense Care for Parents and Teacher Talks for Educators. This great video series is available on YouTube for FREE!! Erin and Maria co-founded Advocates Protecting Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the gender industry, and especially its predation on children in the form of unethical social and medical transition for the sake of political and financial profit. APC serves and supports churches, schools, organizations, families, and individuals who seek facts and guidance on responding to gender ideology and activism. The Catholic Nerds do a deep dive into the Theology of Dune as they review the new Dune movie directed by Denis Villeneuve. SPOILERS AHEAD! The Catholic Nerds dig into the crazy world that is ... Britney Spears!  Just when you thought the world couldn't get any weirder, this happened:  American pop star Britney Spears announced in a now-deleted Instagram post on Aug. 5 that she is Catholic and attends Mass. In a post made Thursday evening, Spears, 39, shared two videos. In one, she is seen posing in a pair of jean shorts and a sweater. In the second, she is shown twirling in a blue dress with flowers. In her caption, Spears said, “Pssss as for the next video … I just got back from mass … I’m Catholic now … let us pray 🙏🏼 !!!” Also, Britney Spears' mother Lynne Spears, sister Jamie Lynn, and nieces Maddie Aldridge and Ivey Joan Watson, are all practicing Catholics. Jamie Lynn joined the Church fairly recently and also posted on Instagram about it. As a part of her since-removed 2018 year in review Instagram story highlight, Jamie Lynn posted a picture on her Instagram dated Feb. 18, 2018, captioned “pregnancy + RCIA. Worth it.” They were posing in that picture with OUR VERY OWN LOUISIANA BISHOP EMERITUS Bishop Robert Muench! What a crazy world.
