About this episode
This episode explores the concept of living a resurrection life in the present, emphasizing the need for daily transformation and obedience to fully experience the life Jesus offers.
What if resurrection isn’t just something we wait for after we die—but something we can experience right now? On this Resurrection Sunday, we explore what it truly means to live a resurrection life. Many people—including Christians—settle for being “alive-ish”: saved, but stuck… breathing, but not fully living. But Jesus didn’t rise from the dead so we could simply exist until heaven—He rose to make us fully alive today. Looking at Romans 6 and the life Jesus is living right now, this message unpacks a powerful truth: resurrection requires death—not just physical death, but a daily dying to our old ways, sin, and self. And from that death comes a new kind of life. Reflection Questions: Where in your life have you settled for being “alive-ish” instead of fully living the resurrection life Jesus offers? What is one specific area of your old life that needs to be put to death so you can walk in new life with Christ? Which of the five marks of resurrection life—present, purposeful, proven, praying, or preparing—is most missing in your life right now? What step of obedience is God calling you to take today so you can move from simply being saved to fully living resurrected?
