Ellen Quach shares her healing journey through storytelling, mindfulness, and her experiences as a mother and artist.
Ellen Quach is a Perth-born storyteller of Vietnamese Chinese descent. Cavorting as a mother of two, and corporate team lead by day, and artist by night, her recent memoir work has been featured in several published anthologies. She finds mindfulness in poetry, painting and journalling, which has been fundamental in her recent healing journey. Ellen shares her journey from receiving a life-changing diagnosis, and finding solace and healing in places beyond her body. ABOUT THE COLLECTION: Swanbourne Story Tracks is a collection sharing community stories of personal connections to the areas between Freshwater Bay, Lake Claremont, and the Indian Ocean. These stories were produced in partnership and made possible by generous funding from Town Team Movement and Project Mooro. Storytellers participated in a series of workshops where they worked with our specialist story trainer, Colin Archibald, to craft first-person narratives about their memorable experiences living in this neighbourhood or moments collected while passing through these streets in their lives.
