About this episode

This episode discusses the call to leave comfort behind and follow Jesus into deeper faith, using the story of Peter's miraculous catch of fish as a metaphor.

Deep. Peter had fished all night and caught nothing. He was exhausted, frustrated, and ready to quit. Then Jesus showed up and said, "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." Luke 5:4. Peter had every reason to stay in shallow water—it was safe, familiar, and logical. But Jesus was calling him deeper. And when Peter obeyed, he caught so many fish that his nets began to break. If you've been playing it safe in shallow water, this message will challenge you to leave the shore behind and follow Jesus into the deep. The catch wasn't the point. The call was. Luke 5:10-11 says Jesus told Peter, "Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men." And immediately, they left everything and followed Him. Not eventually. Not after they figured it out. Immediately. They left their boats, their business, their security—everything—because following Jesus meant leaving the shore behind. And now He's calling you to do the same: leave what's comfortable, go deeper, and trust Him with everything.📖 Main Scripture: Luke 5:1-11Supporting: Matthew 4:18-22, Mark 1:16-20, Matthew 16:24-26, Philippians 3:7-8💡 Key Takeaways:→ Jesus calls you deeper—shallow…
