Laneshia “Lane” Crowder was just 21 years old in August of 2000. She was a young mother raising two small children in a quiet neighborhood in Carrollton, Georgia. When neighbors were asked to check on her after she couldn’t be reached, they made a devastating discovery inside her home. Laneshia was dead in her bedroom, her young son critically injured nearby, and her two-year-old daughter still inside the house. In the days that followed, investigators struggled to determine exactly what had happened, with even Laneshia’s cause of death remaining a mystery. More than two decades later, the case is still unsolved, and the questions surrounding that night remain. Three-year-old Arthur Williams, Jr was a bright, joyful little boy who spent his days playing alongside his big sister in their Las Vegas neighborhood. But on April 15th, 1985, within minutes of stepping outside to play, Junior was senselessly attacked by a man who approached the children on the sidewalk, spoke to them, and then stabbed Arthur before fleeing into a nearby alley. Arthur passed away the next morning, and despite sketches, witnesses, and the fear that gripped the community, the man responsible has never been identified. In November 2003, 33-year-old Mont Highley IV returned home to Alabama for Thanksgiving. He was looking forward to some of his favorite things: good food, time with family, and time spent outdoors. Mont had planned a simple weekend of hunting with his dad after Thanksgiving. But after he drove out to the family’s hunting land on Friday night, Mont vanished. His truck was found abandoned, his belongings left behind, and the farm showed unsettling signs that something was wrong. Weeks later, Mont’s body was discovered in an unused grain silo just miles from where he disappeared. Nearly 22 years later, his murder remains unsolved. Eleven-year-old Levi Frady loved being outdoors riding his red and black bike through the woods, fishing, and exploring the quiet backroads of Forsyth County, Georgia. On an ordinary Wednesday in October 1997, Levi left home to do homework with a friend. He was supposed to be home by dinner, but he never made it back. By the next afternoon, Levi’s red bike was found in a ditch, and just hours later, his body was discovered 15 miles away in the Dawson Forest. Twenty-eight years later, Levi’s case remains unsolved. In September of 1995, two-year-old Ke’Shaun Vanderhorst vanished from his home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A shy, gentle toddler who rarely left his mother’s side,. When his family began asking questions, his mother, Tina Vanderhorst, gave a series of conflicting stories—first saying the Department of Human Services took him, then claiming she had given him to a stranger, and finally admitting she sold him for drug money.
