Kristen is a professional spiritual medium and tarot reader. Growing up us a military brat, she discovered that it wasn't just the houses that were haunted along the journey. She has always had a deep connection with the spiritual realm and paranormal ever since she was a little girl. Those experiences led Kristen to use her intuitive discernment and channel to bring forth messages from the other side. She uses her gifts to help others find spiritual alignment in their lives and bridge the gap of belief in the spiritual world. Her readings involve the use of divination through tarot and channeling with your Spirit Guides to bring forth the messages that need to come through for the highest best purposes of those she connects with. Her passion is showing how to work with the tools we are given, alongside the spiritual realm, to discover the true alignment we are here to accomplish! Key Takeaways: What does it mean to be a medium? She is a Certified Practitioner in the Emotion Code, Body Code, Belief Code, Quantum Healing, and Intuitive Rebirth. She also has training in muscle Testing, Western Astrology, and Trauma Informed Care. Key Takeaways: The only constant is change The momentum of noticing great change in your life once you choose to heal Reminder that one part of Self does not make up your entire identity Each moment is finite and passing, so how can you be more present & drink up the moment? Grief is a friend gently reminding us of how each moment is impermanent Grief didn't take that moment, that experience, or that person The dance between feeling your pain but also allowing yourself to let it go We didn't come to Earth just to experience the tough lessons, we also came here to enjoy life Check out all of Vanessa's offerings: https://www.dawninghope.net/ Connect with Vanessa on IG: @iamvanessadawn | —

This is a protective mechanism that we automatically do in order to survive in the environments we grow up in. If a personality trait of the self is deemed unworthy or unlovable by our caregivers or society, we start to reject (suppress) those parts of self. We do this in order to receive love an belonging, which are basic needs as humans in order to survive. It can become a sacrifice to get those needs met which then comes with consequences. When we start to consistently reject parts of self, we are also rejecting aspects of our light, our power, our medicine. Tune in to today's episode to dive deeper! Key Takeaways: What is the shadow aspect of self? What is the positive intent of the shadow? How the shadow starts to rule the present moment Suppressing the shadow also suppresses its gift, the medicine that we hold Rejecting parts of self just intensifies the darkness within Accept that you're human, you're going to mess up, but you also get to keep learning from your mistakes https://creatinglight.co Subscribe to the email list to get letters sharing about what's on my heart & soul. I had a healer tell me this over a year ago, to which my ego quickly responded to that statement with, "Pretty sure I remember who the fuck I am, but thank you." LOL... On this episode, I share how that statement now makes sense, and that I did in fact forget who I was. Because 2022 was a massive year of spiritual lessons where I stepped off the path of alignment in various ways, one of the ways being that I took down my story on the podcast, and these last couple years I've been coming back into alignment. (interesting that it took twice as long to get back on the path but I guess that's karma for ya) It's been through revisiting the path back home to myself in this way, that I am remembering all over again. Key Takeaways: We can never truly know who we are if we do not have a relationship with our darkness Our shadows (that we cannot get rid of) are equally us It's within the shadows our true essence and power lies Our wholeness never left https://creatinglight.co Try a somatic activated healing class for free, here! Bri is on a mission of opening up heart chakras through somatic experiences. She is a retreat leader and somatic coach based out of Hawaii with 18 years of body work and reiki behind her (which is nothing short of powerful, calm, and clear). Bri has gone through a lot of change, grief, and triumphs in her 37 years of life, which has allowed her to have a depth many don't experience until their 50s. Her presence and embodiment is regularly put to practice through being a mother, free diver, and avid somatic experience seeker. Bri loves bringing this depth to you through her work, and she invites you to experience a transformation of stepping into your shameless power while having fun! Key Takeaways: So much of healing is within the integration process Grief is meant to be shared Duality of grief and love Stop trying to fix the moment by wanting to make people "feel better" when they're grieving, just let them grieve The importance of respecting people's threshold of discomfort When people are the abuser or the victim, both are having an internal war over self-worth People can become abusers when they aren't given the tools to process trauma Grief must be felt to break cycles When we are healing, we are witnessing our wounds, which allows us to transmute and release Check out all of Bri's offerings on her website!! https://mariposabri.co Connect with Bri on instagram! @brideemer Watch this episode on YouTube | —

Just because we leave a traumatic relationship, situation, or toxic cycle doesn't mean we then have the capacity to remain free from it. On this episode, I share what my life was like after I had left the trauma bonded relationship (the first time). That by leaving, it then created the space for my supressed pain to finally be felt so I could get free from internal suffering... but, I didn't actually have the capacity to be with that discomfort and feel it. This was the period of my life where I was in full swing of operating off my shadows. Doing anything I could to distract myself from my pain, and as a result, it lead me right back to what I had left. Key Takeaways: Gaining a relationship with your darkness, your internal world, is a direct link to you being able to maintain freedom from internal suffering. People show you who they are early, and you need to believe them. When your story is messy, let it be what it is. Let it be messy. If you're unable to be with discomfort, the likelihood of you choosing dynamics that perpetuates past trauma is very high. How you show up in daily life is a mirror to how you relate to your darkness. Distraction, escapism, avoiding, and numbing are protective mechanisms from feeling emotional pain. Your shadows are not innately bad. https://creatinglight.co Try a somatic activated healing class for free, here! | 3/27/25 | ![]() 68. Reconnecting To My Darkness | On this episode, I discuss how I have been reconnecting to my darkness. That by re-sharing my story on the podcast it has re-surfaced shadow aspects of self that I didn't realized I had abandoned. They are being seen again and it's been challenging. Trust has been broken, fear is present, vulnerability is at the forefront, and my shadows have a lot to say. Deciding to no longer hide is no fucking joke. Even though this has been challenging, it has also been liberating. I am remembering at a deeper level (as the spiral goes) that my wisdom lies within my darkness. That is where the medicine resides, and as the relationship with my darkness strengthens again, so does the relationship with my liberation. Key Takeaways: There is nothing wrong with you True love and light is here as a result of the embodiment of your darkness Being in tune with your shadow is being in tune with your authenticity How you do one thing is how you do everything If you shove down and reject your darkness, it will come up and affect how you live your daily life When you're in relationship with your darkness, as a byproduct, you're also in relationship with liberation https://creatinglight.co Try a somatic activated healing class for free, here! Since this is something that cannot be stopped, how can we then flow WITH chaos instead of resisting it (and hurting ourselves in the process)? On this episode, I share how chaos has been visiting me lately, how it is mirroring a previous chaotic time from 4 years ago, and how this time I was able to flow with it better. Spoiler alert, it involved feeling my feelings. Key Takeaways: Being on the healing journey doesn't mean you're immune to chaos Being connected to your body helps with navigating chaos in a way that serves everyone's highest good instead of perpetuating harm Chaos is here to redirect you and show you where disharmony exists Darkness from your internal world is not innately bad https://creatinglight.co Try a somatic activated healing class for free, here! Alexa is a spirited woman, who is stepping into a chapter of educating herself and community about ways to heal and find safety through movement, dance, and mindfulness. Recently certified as a Dharma Life and Soul Purpose Coach and Somatic Activated Healing Teacher, Alexa is learning to navigate the present through a lens of changing the course of her life by stepping away from her career as a teacher, and working to shift her life mindset through pursuing a more aware lifestyle. During the past few years, Alexa has worked closely with those that are experiencing the grief of the death of loved ones. She herself is walking alongside her mohter, who is presently experiencing cancer, and processing how that has impacted their relationship as mother and daughter. Alexa is wanting to spread an understanding about how grief is a beautifully painful part of life that is not being talked about enough or being demonstrated on how to process it; when major life altering events occur to ourselves, loved ones, and collectively to all beings around the world. Alexa is also wanting to advocate that hope is possible even in the midst of grief. Key Takeaways: Grief doesn't have to be scary How grief brings in more honesty and presence in life Caring for a mother in the midst of cancer Being carried by unconditional love and hope through grief How somatic work helps us be able to be with grief instead of avoid, numb, escape, or disassociate Alchemizing the medicine of grief and death Check out Alexa Rising's offerings on her website!! https://alexarising.com Ways to connect with Alexa: Instagram: @risingandsmiling YouTube: @risingandsmiling | —

Dreams do mean something and they are incredibly valuable in that they provide a direct pathway to our unconscious mind. As we continue to learn ways to connect to the self beyond conscious awareness is how healing gets to integrate, which means lasting change gets to take place. As Carl Jung beautifully put, "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." Visiting my parents couldn't be more timely in the (pre-planned) episodes that happened to then be recorded at this time... For today, I continue to dive in on why it's so important for us as adults, to talk to our children about sex and sexuality. Why we need to take the responsibility of teaching them what is healthy and unhealthy when it comes to romantically relating to others. How much schooling you have to go through, a few things to expect while you're in school, and what the process is like after school to become fully credentialed and practice independently. Becoming an Art Therapist is quite the process, but if you feel called to be with people in their darkness through creative means, be in the mental health field in a way that is beyond just talk therapy, this avenue of a helping profession very well could be for you!! Listen with curiosity at the forefront and still consult with any medical professionals you see fit if you are also questioning your own sensations of depression. But, it is no coincidence, that I never had experienced a severe episode of depression until I became aware of the trauma I had endured. That once I became aware, it was evident that it was too much for my mind and body to handle when I did not have healthy tools to be with (heal from) the trauma. So, to what this episode speaks to, of course I became depressed. As humans, our inner and outer world is interdependent of one another. Allow this episode to continue helping you look at the wholeness, the entirety of the human experience. Key Takeaways: Is it depression or is it trauma? How it often can be a complex issue of it being something that we ultimately do not want to do and may have the conscious awareness of how it does not serve us, but can struggle to break out of using avoidance as a coping mechanism. I share how for me, I was becoming overwhelmed with past traumatic memories along with needing to face the fact that I just left a trauma bonded relaitonship, but it was all too much, I did not have the proper tools, and what my body knew to get through my days, was to avoid. It was a process of slowly but surely learning how to chip away at the avoidance tendencies to choose to be with discomfort instead of suppress. Through this process, the biggest revelation I had was that happiness, being at peace with myself, took work. This is part 3 and all that I had recorded from 2021 in regards to revealing the trauma history, the impacts it had on the psyche, and how it also exists within the collective. This episode really shines a light on the ways childhood trauma turns into the programming we will opperate off of as an adult, BUT it also shines a light on how that programming can be deconstructed and we can discover/rediscover how to live a life based off of our true essence. There is a lot of information to digest within this episode, so you happen to feel triggered or notice something stirring up within, please practice the self-care and embodiment tools I shared in Episode 51: My Story pt2.
