Key Points Summit Church in North Carolina is suing Chatham County Board for refusing to re-zone land for their new campus Preliminary meetings were supportive and Summit was told their plans were consistent with the county's future use map Various reasons were given for the eventual rejection: the church is too big, would bring in too many non-residents, the church is a "business masquerading as a house of worship," and it doesn't fit Chatham County’s “progressive, LGBTQ-friendly, and openminded atmosphere. 1.2.
