Click hereWhat happens when you're actually failing? It's easy to say, "Don't let your results define you," but what if your numbers really are bad? In this episode, I break down why repeated setbacks can make even experienced reps lose confidence and motivation—not because they're weak, but because of a psychological concept called learned helplessness.I'll walk through a simple experiment using impossible anagrams that demonstrates how quickly our brains can begin to expect failure, and how that same pattern shows up on the doors after a rough day or week.By the end of this episode you will learn how to make sure you're not allowing past negative experiences to determine your outlook moving forward. Hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||

| 2/18/26 | ![]() The Two Reps Who Always Struggle in D2D Sales - Ep. 104 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. In door-to-door sales, almost anyone can succeed — but there are two types of reps who consistently struggle: the excuse maker and the transactional rep.In this episode, I break down why these two mindsets hold reps back, how excuses destroy ownership and growth, and why treating customers like transactions instead of humans kills trust and closes. We’ll talk about the real reasons reps fail in D2D, how to recognize these patterns in yourself, and what it takes to shift toward accountability and genuine human connection — the two skills that ultimately determine success on the doors. If you want to improve your mindset, your conversations, and your long-term results in sales, this episode is for you.Hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 2/12/26 | ![]() Grass Isn’t Greener — It’s Just Different Dirt - Ep. 103 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. In this episode, I recap my experience running a fiber blitz and share one major realization: the friction is the same everywhere. No answers. Competition. Excuses. Doubt. Demotivation. Cancellations. Grass-is-greener syndrome. No matter what you sell — pest, fiber, solar, alarms — you will face the same emotional battles. The industry changes. The discomfort doesn’t.I break down how to counter each of these challenges, why switching opportunities often just resets your growth, and how real progress comes from planting your feet and growing where you are.If you’ve ever questioned your product, your company, or yourself during a tough stretch, this episode will remind you that what you’re feeling isn’t special — it’s normal. And the reps who win aren’t the ones who avoid friction. They’re the ones who stay long enough to master it.Hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 1/21/26 | ![]() Conviction Over Commission - Ep. 102 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. Most reps don’t lose deals because their product is bad — they lose because they need the sale.In this episode, I break down why conviction closes more deals than commission ever will. We’ll talk about the difference between calm certainty and needy selling, why customers can feel desperation instantly, and how true belief in your offer multiplies trust on the doors.I’ll explain how conviction increases perceived likelihood of achieving whatever it is the customer is wanting without changing the product, and share real door-to-door examples of what conviction sounds like versus commission-driven energy. If you want easier closes, better conversations, and more respect from customers, this episode will change how you sell.Hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 1/14/26 | ![]() This Equation Will Make You Rich - Ep. 101 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. Most people think success in sales, fitness, or business comes down to talent or motivation. It doesn’t. It comes down to a formula. In this episode, we break down Alex Hormozi’s Value Equation and show how it applies directly to door-to-door sales, recruiting, and life:Value = (Dream Outcome × Likelihood of Achievement) ÷ (Time Delay × Effort & Sacrifice)You’ll learn:Why people overpay for things that feel faster and easierHow top D2D reps close more deals by reducing effort and time for the customerWhy commission-only sales actually increases value for the right personHow to use the formula to sell ideas to customers, recruits, and even yourselfThis episode will change how you think about:Selling pest controlRecruiting high-performing repsDesigning offers that people say yes to without pressureIf you’ve ever wondered why some people win consistently while others struggle doing “the same work,” this episode explains the math behind it. | — | ||||||

| 12/17/25 | ![]() Say Less. Close Faster. - Ep. 99 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. Most reps lose deals before they ever get to the close — not because of the product, but because they talk too much.In this episode, I break down why being upfront, direct, and to the point is one of the most powerful skills in door-to-door sales. We cover why small talk often signals insecurity, how clarity creates authority, and how qualifying fast saves time, energy, and commissions. You’ll learn a simple framework to open with purpose, ask better qualifying questions, explain your offer in one sentence, and confidently ask for the decision without feeling pushy. This episode is about respecting the homeowner’s time — and your own — while closing faster and with more confidence. If you want to command more respect on the doors, stop rambling, and increase your close rate, this is an episode you need to hear.I hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 12/11/25 | ![]() Discipline Isn’t Motivation — It’s Memory Loss - Ep. 98 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. Most people think discipline comes from motivation, hype, or mindset. But real discipline comes from shrinking the time window where excuses can talk you out of the action. Winners act in 5 seconds, remove friction, create rules instead of choices, and build proof until their brain “forgets” their old excuses. Discipline isn’t about getting stronger—it’s about eliminating the space where weakness lives. In this episode we go over steps on how to develop discipline in your sales and personal life. We also review the value of focusing on measuring the reps and attempts over the actual result and emotions felt when attempting to develop greater discipline. I hope you enjoy this episode. | — | ||||||
| 12/3/25 | ![]() Why Broke People Love Long Explanations - Ep. 97 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. Most reps think more talking equals more persuasion. That’s backwards. In this episode I explain why long explanations are the poverty signal — and give a simple mechanical framework to shut up, ask better questions, and close more. The focus of this episode is to help you recognize that getting your customer to close is more valuable than spending time trying to build value and rapport with them. You can do these things AFTER they are closed. The sequence to ensuring your success is ->Intro -> Discover Pain Point -> Resolve Pain Point -> Close -> Build more RapportI hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 11/26/25 | ![]() The 5-Step Framework for Unshakeable Confidence - Ep. 96 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. This episode gives you a breakdown of what it takes to gain more confidence in your life. The application works for both within a sales environment as well as your personal life. If there is one key lesson takeaway from this episode it's this: Confidence is synonymous with Evidence." In the episode, I breakdown 5 steps to gaining confidence in any particular area in life, with specific examples of how to do so in d2d sales. This was a fun episode to make and I hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 11/19/25 | ![]() Hunting for Sales: Your hunting/sales guide - Ep. 95 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. In this episode, I break down the surprising connection between elk hunting and door-to-door sales — and why getting good at one can make you a killer at the other. After spending years in both worlds, I’ve realized there are principles that are almost identical. The way you scout terrain, read pressure, adapt to changing conditions, patience, handling failure, and time your shot in the mountains is the same way you win in the neighborhoods.I just got back from my elk hunt and wanted to share stories from this experience and how it can relate to becoming a better sales rep. I hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 10/27/25 | ![]() What Door-to-Door Taught Me That College Never Could - Ep. 94 | Want to steal my Objection Handling Cheat Sheet? Click here. A little controversial but spoken straight from the heart. Today we break down what college never could teach me, and how door to door sales was the learning platform that gave me more insight on how business, people, and character development work. This episode goes over some lessons learned in school vs. lessons learned on the doors. I will add, there is a place for both but for someone who sees themselves as more of an own your future type of person, you will likely find yourself appreciating the opportunity d2d sales provides. I hope you enjoy. | — | ||||||
| 11/4/24 | ![]() 8 Tips for D2D Sales (from summer '24) - Ep. 48 | 8 Lessons Learned in 2024 Rookies can outsell Vets - I was blown away as I watched multiple rookies this summer absolutely dominate and put up numbers any vet would be proud of. Environment is Key - Who you are spending your time with off the doors makes a HUGE impact on the results you have during the summer. Close Close Close - Dominic Story. When reps stop assuming the sale and start lay down hunting, that’s when a HUGE summer turns into a LONG one. Don’t Act Like you Know it All - Don’t tell yourself or your team that they know everything they need to. It’s not true. Stick to the basics in your trainings, even if you’re already been through many of them. Stay humble and hungry to learn. When you have a big day, don’t use it has an excuse to not try as hard the next day. I Will Be the Best Mentality - This was my motto for 2024. Being my best meant I held myself to standards that could be measured. You won’t always hit your goals, but you can ALWAYS hit your standards. My standards were: Leave for area on time Work until dark Do my very best to hit my daily goal Have a Vision for Yourself - Start with your Why, Identify your Where and end with your What. Why are you knocking doors? What motivated you to do this job? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If there are people in the D2D space who have achieved what you are wanting, then it’s possible. What are they doing? What are you willing to do to make this a reality? Set your Goals and Standards. Give Area/City a Chance - Story of Athens, struggled but then sold 50 in one week. People left and said it was a bad city. Don’t listen to the negatives, adjust and figure out what works before abandoning an Area/City entirely. Create your Roadmap to Financial Success. Everyone wants to be rich, but most lack vision and discipline to get there. Wherever you’re at, ask yourself if the company you’re selling for is going to help you achieve your Vision? Do you believe they ACTUALLY will get you there? All hat, no cattle. What are their stepping stones to long-term financial freedom? If you’re a leader, what unique offers do you have that help paint the dream for your ideal rep? Make sure you’ve shown your team that you’re as invested into their success as you are into yours. Even by falling short, if you “Shoot for the Stars and you’ll land on the Moon” | — | ||||||
