About this episode

The episode discusses the importance of maintaining a quiet connection with Jesus while actively engaging in life's tasks, using bicycle handlebars as a metaphor.

Today I saw bicycle handlebars which of course are vital when riding a bicycle for a number of reasons, such as control and steering of the front wheel's movement, whilst also affecting the rider's posture and comfort etc. Having breaks on the handlebars helps too of course! Whilst hands are quietly on these vital handlebars, the feet are more visibly working away. I believe that that is the main thrust of today's message. We can be visibly 'pedalling' away, but we need a constant quiet connection with Jesus to be safe and effective. As Jesus tells us, as recounted in John 15:5, " I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without me you are able to do nothing".
