I already forgave someone of their sins against me but in a time where they needed peace I was able to see beyond my pain and greif because God told me to. There is so much freedom when you forgive others but that freedom is for you. That freedom is a gift from God. He will and wants to reward you for being obedient to His word. The word says: "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's Wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:19-21 It also says "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
