According to a recent joint Five Eyes bulletin highlighted in Asia Times, Chinese military intelligence is leaning hard on professional networking and online job platforms to reach people with access to sensitive US data, especially in defense, foreign policy, and Indo-Pacific security. Instead of cold-DM’ing on LinkedIn, they’re posting real-looking jobs, then ranking applicants by how valuable their access is. Targeted sectors in the last 24 hours line up neatly with that playbook: US defense contractors working on Indo-Pacific posture, cloud and managed security providers hosting government workloads, universities with China or Taiwan research programs, and think tanks doing war-gaming on…
