| 6/19/26 | ![]() CWD: The rest of the story! | CWD: What's THE REST OF THE STORY? Are you confused about Chronic Wasting Disease or perhaps you disagree with what you're hearing. There seems to be a plethora of "experts" who aim to "educate" sportsmen about CWD but why haven't we made any traction on CWD in free-range deer herds? It's a fact that deer farmers have gained ground, reducing CWD prevalence but the mainstream media would lead you to believe just the opposite: That deer breeders are super spreaders! This is FALSE and truthfully, so is most of what yoo hear about CWD. Jason pays tribute to the great Paul Harvey in his approach to explain why the "prion" theory has misled science while researchers fail to produce resesarch that actually helps deer managers and state agencies make incremental improvements in the management of the disease. Isnt' it time we ask: Where did we go wrong and are we barking up the wrong tree? | — | ||||||
| 4/24/26 | ![]() WILD HEALTH | The multitude of the sick shall not make us deny the existence of health (Emerson, 1860). Let's focus on the individual animals that remain healthy, while others struggle. Wildlife that harbor diseases wihtout showing symptoms of being diseased is the epitome of health! The presence of a pathogen IS NOT the same as the presense of the disease. In nature, the weak die...in society we're always looking at saving the unhealthy. Unfortunatley, it's a moral crime to admit that the weak will in fact succumb to something; it makes the species as a whole much more fit. Modern wildlife struggle to self-medicate, nourish and maintain robust immune systems because of ecological dysfunction (habitat destruction, mismanagement, toxins, domestic animal diseases). Scientists around the world regularly report that wild animals are infected with pathogens (disease-causing organisms) with ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPTOMS WHATSOEVER! Let's focus on WILD HEALTH.... | — | ||||||
| 10/2/25 | ![]() Do Wild Turkey Poults Prefer to Forage in Regenerative Food Plots or Conventionally-managed Food Plots? | Do wild turkey poults prefer to forage in food plots managed with regenerative techniques or conventional techniques? What about old field management? Jason sits down with MSU graduate student Will Fowler (his first podcast EVER) to discuss Will's ground-breaking research using imprinted wild turkey poults to study foraging ecology in different food plot treatments. If you manage for wild turkeys on your property, this is a MUST LISTEN! | — | ||||||

| 12/4/24 | ![]() Jason's 'Challenge-Coin-Earning' Presentation in Springfield MO -Plants Fix Dirt & Wild Health! | In this episode, we share Jason's 2024 Springfield MO presentation that earned him a challenge coin from an American warrior in the crowd. Jason has noted, on numerous occasions, that this is the greatest 'thank you and recognition' that anyone could present and as many of you know, receiving a challenge coin from an American warrior is a great honor. Enjoy as Jason speaks to a welcoming Springfield MO crowd of farmers, ranchers and sportsmen about wild health, food plots, and 'the how and why' behind Dr. Rick Haney's now famous quote: "Plants fix dirt". Learn how Jason built the Drop-Tine Seed Co. and how his "citizen science" steers the product line. Jason discusses his discovery of "weak commodity seeds" that don't do well in healthy, regenerated, and biologially robust soils and he challenges his colleagues to focus on a new discipline of wildlife management known as Functional Ecology and Management - aimed at addressing the underlying causes of wildlife disease and ecological dysfunction...not merely addressing symptoms of the underlying causes. CWD is the perfect example! | — | ||||||

| 1/24/24 | ![]() Pennsylvania Deer Wars with PA State Rep. David Maloney | Is the PA Game Commission telling the truth about PA hunters' approval of a Saturday opener to deer season...a policy move that changed 'decades old' hunting tradition in PA? What goes on behind the scenes of a state agency when politics trump biology? How does this affect you, the license-buying hunters? Is it really acceptable to send PA sportsmen's/women's money to California when it was earmarked for CWD management in PA? Politicians are hated and Jason's guest today certainly takes his fair share of shots from a certain segment of the PA outdoor community. Jason talks with PA State Rep. David Maloney about all of this and much more...Oh, and did Dave REALLY just say that the PGC is lying about the survey findings regarding the heated change to the traditional Monday-after-Thanksgiving opener? Yep, he sure did! | — | ||||||

Listen to one of Jason's favorite whitetail bow hunters explain his efficient but aggressive mature buck killing system. Jason covers the latest in trail cameras and talks about a type of trail camera that seems to "dry up" scrapes in big buck states across the midwest but not before the great Dr. Rick Haney talks in depth about the soil health test that bears his name. | — | ||||||

| 11/30/22 | ![]() Glyphosate & Dr. Don Huber: EIGHT PLUS DECADES OF WISDOM | 87 year-old Glyphosate researcher, plant pathologist, retired U.S. Army Col. and Emeritus Professor (Purdue Univ)., Dr. Don Huber has been shot at, stabbed and beaten to a pulp during his storied investigative career merely because of his long-time involvement in research on the impacts of Glyphosate (RoundUp) on plant nutrition, disease and health. Hits have been taken out on him by researchers and industry thugs who are in the tank (follow the $$$) with large multinational organizations and the makers of synthetic chemicals such as RoundUp. Jason proposes a broad spectrum of topics surrounding the Glyphosate/Roundup discourse including the science-based research that links Glyphosate, as a broad spectrum mineral chelator and gut/soil disrupting antibioic, to Chronic Wasting Disease in white-tailed deer. | — | ||||||
| 11/8/22 | ![]() Regenerative Food Plots: Soil pH and why we don't lime anymore | Jason and "guest host-client-friend" Joe Switzer talk with Dr. Rick Haney about soil testing and all things soil health. | 10/19/22 | ![]() Field Report: Regenerative Food Plotting in South Carolina | No description provided. | — | ||||||
| 10/7/22 | ![]() CWD and Urine Bans: Don't piss down my leg and tell me it's raining! | As state agencies target bans on commercial urine and attractants, Jason engages in conversation with one of the nations leading biochemists, Dr. Davin Henderson, on the fact that the real science lacks a single case where deer were infected with CWD by giving them urine. Although A recent Pennsylvania Game Commission vote on a urine ban died on the vine with a 4-4 tie, Commissioners promise to keep trying. We ask: Where's the science to support your claims? | — | ||||||
| 7/25/22 | ![]() What Your Food Plots Eat with Dr. David Montgomery | Jason talks in depth with Dr. David Montgomery about the relationship between soil health and food plot nutrient density. Listen as Jason and Dave entertain the underappreciated topic of food plot quantity vs. quality. Are we spending too much time worrying about what (and how much tonnage) we plant for deer while ignoring HOW we're growing our food plots? Soil health = nutrient density = healthy white-tailed deer. | — | ||||||
| 7/14/22 | ![]() Regen Wildlife Ag: The Academic Journey Begins | Jason talks with Dr. Bronson Strickland and Dr. Rick Haney about why his alma mater, Mississippi State University, should study the impact of of soil health & conservation agriculture on food plot forage nutrient density, soil organic matter, crop nutritional profile, vitamin/mineral content and phytochemical richness. Is this the beginning of something HUGE? | — | ||||||
