About this episode
Fr. Jonathan Meyer explores the different types of love we have for Jesus and how God meets us where we are in our spiritual journey.
What type of love do you have for Jesus? In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks Peter three times: “Do you love me?” But in the original Greek, something powerful is happening. Jesus first asks Peter:➡️ “Do you agape me?”— Are you willing to love me sacrificially?— Are you willing to give everything for me? But Peter responds:➡️ “I love you like a brother.” And amazingly… Jesus meets Peter where he is. In today’s Rise Up reflection, Fr. Jonathan Meyer explores how God patiently takes us deeper in love:❤️ from immature love❤️ to faithful love❤️ to sacrificial love God meets you exactly where you are today. But He loves you too much to leave you there. Do not be afraid to go deeper in prayer, deeper in trust, and deeper in love. Come Holy Spirit. #RiseUp #Catholic #Faith #Jesus #Prayer #Love #HolySpirit #Bible
