In honor of our season 3 Kickstarter, we're bringing you a very special episode of our Patreon-only unscripted series, CinEnigmas - on the main feed for free! Once a month, Ian, Lauren, and some occasional special guests and friends of the show, are examining what makes a good MYSTERY MOVIE (or tv show)! In this episode, we're talking Sherlock Holmes (2009), the first of the Guy Ritchie Holmes series! If you like this episode (or even love it), and want access to all past and future episodes, consider donating to the Kickstarter at the $50 tier, where you'll get one year of Patreon membership (a $60 value) which also gets you updates, episode commentaries with the team, ad-free access to our whole catalogue, and early access for our future episodes. | 6/16/26 | ![]() Announcing - SEASON THREE KICKSTARTER | Our season 3 Kickstarter is live! Fawx & Stallion is a comedy-mystery podcast about the best detective team in London! Not that one. The other one. Across the street, and slightly to the left, at 224B Baker Street. We've successfully solved two mysteries, and we'll need your help to get a crack at a third! Scripts are written, pre-production has begun, and all we need is the funding to make this show's engine start in earnest! Season one of the show was primarily self-financed, and season two's 10 episodes were crowdfunded and produced for $8000. For season 3, we are telling a story unlike any you've heard, with 12 full-cast episodes. Thank you to our Patreon members who have helped finance our pre-production and our wonderful team of five guest writers! For this season, we are asking for $10,000 to bring this sprawling, absurd, ambitious story to life. We invite you to check out our crowdfunding page, which is live now, for more info on the season, our budget breakdown, and our fantastic set of rewards (early access! annotated Holmes stories! stickers! for the first time, the opportunity to name a character or provide walla for the show!). If you’re not in a position to donate or join the Patreon, that’s fine! Please send along our campaign to anyone who may be interested, share the show with a friend, and leave us a review on any of your favorite podcatchers. Word of mouth is crucial for campaigns like these! | 5/27/26 | ![]() Presenting: The Lion and the Adder, A 1920s Detective Audio Drama | Hello Detectives! Today we are delighted to introduce you to The Lion and the Adder, who are wrapping up their crowdfund soon and need our help to produce this season of top-tier historical detective-based audio fiction! (Check out their crowdfund HERE RIGHT HERE.) The Lion and the Adder is the first season of a new audio drama series from Monstrous Productions inspired by the Golden Age of detective fiction. When a young man disappears in a suspected demonic possession, Robin Sylvester - a physicist specializing in the science of demon summoning - is called in to help solve the case. He’s joined by Detective Inspector Nicholas Hawthorn and consulting psychic Evelyn “Bash” Sebastian in a 1920s supernatural detective story that blurs the lines between science, magic and religion. If you love the work of Agatha Christie, Margery Allingham, and Dorothy Sayers and wondered what that style of prose sounded like mixed with plenty of supernatural elements and heart, fully produced with a full voice cast and immersive sound design then head on over to Monstrous Production’s Kickstarter to check out more about the show! Thanks so much for listening and enjoy this exclusive preview of The Lion and the Adder. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices | 9m 56s | ||||||
| 10/16/25 | ![]() Creator Chat: Gabriel Urbina talks THE HARBINGERS | Today, Gabriel Urbina drops by 224B to chat about his brand new show, The Harbingers, which co-stars our very own Lauren Grace Thompson! The first three episodes are available RIGHT NOW wherever you listen to podcasts, and we are delighted to share the first episode with you today! Adam Blackwell is the most powerful man in the world. But he hasn't always been. Five years ago he was just a humble grad student at Sinclair University. How did he go from a nobody to the world's first modern magician? And once he got that power, what has he done with it? Be advised: this episode contains depictions of drinking and smoking, as well as strong language and discussions of politics. It also contains mentions, though not depictions, of violence, death, war crimes, the Holocaust, and a large-scale disaster. Listener discretion is advised. The Harbingers was created by Gabriel Urbina. Today's episode was written by Gabriel Urbina, directed and sound designed by Jeffrey Nils Gardner, and executive produced by Eleanor Hyde. It featured the voices of Andrés Enriquez as Adam Blackwell, Lauren Grace Thompson as Amy Stirling, Emmy Bean as Claudia Skinner, and Kristen DiMercurio as Erica Pfeiffer. It also featured the voice of Olivia Love-Hatlestad. The original music for the series is by Nicholas Podany, and the original art is by Cassie J. Allen. Recording engineering and dialogue editing by Zhuolin Wu. This is an Audacious Machine production. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices | 1h 13m 48s | ||||||
