Siguiendo 12 sencillos pasos:1er. Paso: Aceptar una derrota total ante nuestro problema, la paradoja más grande de la vida, perder para ganar; morir para vivir.2do. Paso: Sano juicio, no importa si somos ateos o agnósticos. Si perdimos o nunca hemos tenido Fe, es necesario creer en un Poder Superior a nosotros mismos. Sólos no hemos podido.3er. Paso: Ese Poder Superior es Dios y todo lo que ha pasado en la vida es voluntad de Él, nos entregamos y pedimos hacer sólo su voluntad.4to. Paso: Se sugiere hacer una lista de aquellas personas que nos ofendieron (somos víctimas), pero aún más una lista de las personas a las cuales hicimos daño (somos victimarios).9no. Paso: Se hace la reparación de daños directa e indirectamente. Siempre cuidando no dañar a los demás, a costa de nuestra recuperación. Muchas veces la mejor reparación de daños es la que no se hace. Arrepentimiento total. No volver a hacerlo.10mo. Paso: Seguimos haciendo un inventario instantáneo, al término del día y mínimo dos veces al año. Tratando de realizar reparaciones inmediatas. Aceptamos, admitimos y corregimos.11vo. Paso: Constantemente buscamos ese contacto consciente con Dios, por medio de la oración y meditación. A nuestras posibilidades y capacidades. El que canta, ora doble vez y el que canta y baila ora triple vez.12vo. Paso: Después de practicar diario estos pasos se cumplen las doce promesas de AA.
