| 6/19/26 | ![]() Trump's Dept. of Justice Indicts 15 Anti-ICE Organizers in Minneapolis w/ Journalist Amie Stager (G&R 505) | 🎉 Don't like liberal media attacks on the Left? Then support independent media channels like the Green and Red Podcast at https://www.patreon.com/greenredpodcast or https://greenandredpodcast.org/donate-to-green-and-red/. In Minneapolis this week, federal prosecutors have announced charges against 15 anti-ICE activists who took part in protests against the Trump administration’s deadly immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities earlier this year. The 15 individuals are accused of being part of anti-fascist, or “antifa,” groups that “violently oppose immigration law enforcement" and are charged with “conspiracy to impede or injure a federal officer." At least five of the indicted are trade unionists. In our latest, we talked with Minneapolis based labor journalist Amie Stager about the indictment and how it's a case of overreach by the Trump administration. Guest Bio//Amie Stager (@amiestager) has worked for the Labor Education Service since 2020. She studied journalism at the University of Minnesota, where she also graduated with a master's degree in public history in 2025. Her writing can be found in Workday Magazine, The Real News Network, In These Times, and Minnesota Women's Press. She is currently the Senior Associate editor at Workday Magazine. -----------------------------------Outro// "Green and Red Blues" by Moody🔗 Links🌐 Minnesota Trade Unionists Among Those Targeted in Federal Indictments of ICE Observers (https://bit.ly/4ehHIXw)🌐 Protests follow after 15 Minnesotans charged with anti-ICE conspiracy (https://bit.ly/4ozbsT6)🌐 Trump’s Spaghetti-Against-the-Wall Indictment Against ICE Protesters — and How to Fight It (https://bit.ly/4gdZJHJ)💚 Support the Green and Red Podcast🎉 Become a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/greenredpodcast☕ One-time donation: https://bit.ly/DonateGandR🎙️ Follow Green and Red🔗 Linktree: https://linktr.ee/greenandredpodcast🌐 Website: https://greenandredpodcast.org🌍 Our Networks🎧 Labor Podcast Network: https://www.laborradionetwork.org📢 Anti-Capitalist Podcast Network: https://linktr.ee/anticapitalistpodcastnetwork📻 Listen on WAMF (90.3 FM) New Orleans: https://wamf.org✊ Worker Power Radio: https://workerpowerradio.ismyradio.com/🎬 A Green and Red Podcast production👨🏫 Produced by Bob (@bobbuzzanco) and Scott (@sparki1969)✂️ Edited by Scott🔔 Subscribe for more analysis on U.S. politics, leftist strategy, and anti-establishment resistance. | — | ||||||

Then support independent media channels like the Green and Red Podcast at https://www.patreon.com/greenredpodcast or https://greenandredpodcast.org/donate-to-green-and-red/. In our latest, we talk about how the liberal establishment find itself in a war with it's anti-Zionist anti-ruling class progressive left. States are passing anti-protest legislation, police are increasingly militarized, surveillance is being drastically increased on activist groups and the Trump administration is turning activism into terrorism. BUT, we are also seeing new large-scale resistance from the massive No Kings and May Day mobilizations to fierce resistance to ICE in Los Angeles, Chicago and Minneapolis, communities and movements are fighting back. The anti-AI Data Center movement has blurred political divides across the country. Activists are not only marching in the street and disrupting authoritarian forces, but actions at Tesla dealerships, Kimberly Clark warehouses, the offices of corporate war profiteers and other locations show a radical edge to today’s resistance. This panel discussion will focus on the state of activism in the United States from its radicals to its realists, how the state is responding with repression, and understanding why movements and activists make the choices they do.
