Genesis 1:27 tells us that humanity was created in God’s image, and that what He made was “very good.” Before performance, before reputation, before failure or success, God declared inherent dignity over His creation. That declaration still echoes today. But when doubt about God’s goodness entered the story in Eden, something shifted. The image was not erased, but it was distorted. Instead of reflecting God outward, humanity turned inward in self-protection and insecurity. The mirror became clouded — not destroyed. In this episode, we explore what it means to be an image bearer in a world shaped by distortion. We talk about how self-deprecation and self-criticism can quietly contradict what God has declared.
