Journey with us back in time and overseas as we discuss the 1985’s World War 2 film “Come and See”. In this episode we’ll discuss just what we think separates this film from a litany other World War 2 film depictions; from the score, the haunting performances from our lead actors to the brutal landscape all shown through the perspective of someone who’s actually experienced war (we think). Saving Private Ryan, this is not. If that sounds rough, it’s because it is! But fret not, you’ll still manage to enjoy listening to Pete try watching this for the first time high, Aaron channels his inner Dan Carlin and fills us in on some history eastern Europe during the war, and the joys of two young kids finding their own silver linings in their fucked up existence. Oh, and don’t worry, we get to some Nazi killing too.
