In this interview, Leonie Haimson, executive director of Class Size Matters, explains why a growing coalition of parents, students and educators are alarmed by the rapid rollout of AI tools in the classroom with the apparent blessing of Mayor Zohran Mamdani and are demanding a two-year moratorium on the expansion of AI in the schools to gain a better understanding of its impact on students.
