Scripture tells us in Hebrews 4:12 that the Word of God is living and active — discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. In many ways, the question why does the same thing. Why did God say, “Be fruitful and multiply”? Why did He command mankind to fill the earth and subdue it? Why would He look at Abraham and say, “I want more of you”? Friend, fatherhood was never just about biology. It was never just about passing on your last name. It was never just about fulfilling instinct.
