HAPPY MARDI GRAS 2019! If you couldn’t make it to the 2019 Mardi Gras Parade then this is the podcast for YOU! We have almost 4 hours of interviews, fun, floats, dancing plus more… SO scream for JOY, it’s Mardi Gras 2019 on podcast! This year the JOY coverage was produced by a team of 12 volunteers (see picture) with microphones in hand. Every one of them worked tirelessly and had fun during the parade marshalling time and during the parade to interview participants from many of the 200 entries in the parade and commentate the parade from the sidelines. In the second part you can hear more fun and fabulousness from the parade including a wedding in Taylor Square, PFLAG, the Happy Bernardi Float, the parade wind up and many, many more of the 200 floats that made up the parade. Our ON AIR broadcast team consisted of Benjamin Norris from Word for Word, Dean Arcuri from The Informer and Mad Wednesdays drive show, Lisa Daniel & Dee Mason from the Dano & Mason drive show and our wonderful street team was Harry & Hunter from JOY’s breakfast show – The Tag Team.
