Unable to quit on her own, her best friend coordinated her admission to an ibogaine treatment center in Cancun, Mexico, where a supervised 14-hour flood dose completely eliminated her kratom cravings. Now over a year and a half sober from all substances for the first time since age 15, she credits ibogaine, prayer, her supportive husband, and intentional distance from the kava bar community as the pillars of her recovery.
