One of the best things about the Star Wars Legends community is the wonderful network of like-minded fans who all share our love of these fantastic stories and characters. We connected with one such new friend of ours is Kyle (Xezene), the creator of a tremendous undertaking—detailed, a multi-part, behind the scenes account of the making of the New Jedi Order. He went back in the archives and conducted brand new interviews to find all of the personal accounts of what went down all those years ago to form this unbelievably ambitious storytelling initiative. We ask Kyle all about what it took to tackle such a big project, as well as just general nerding out about the NJO. Thanks to the folks at Legacy Expo for bringing us together. At Legacy Expo we had the unbelievable opportunity to talk with one of the early architects of the Expanded Universe—Barbara Hambly! We reflected on her experiences writing Children of the Jedi, Planet of Twilight, as well as short stories in Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina and Tales from Jabba’s Palace. She took us on a thrilling adventure down memory lane, recounting some of the behind-the-scenes action that resulted in the creation of these epic tales we all know and love.
