About this episode
Seth Grossman interviews John DeMasi about the persistence of 'woke' media despite low ratings.
Seth Grossman interview with John DeMasi on 95.5FM and 1450AM near Atlantic City, NJ, WPGTalkRadio.com. How do "woke" radio and TV programs like Jimmy Kimmel stay on the air even when they have poor audience ratings? Because big "woke" corporations pay top dollar to advertise on their programs anyway! SETH GROSSMAN: Before I talk about the issues I highlighted, I'd like to continue your conversation about guys like Jimmy Kimmel. You are puzzled at how he can have low audience ratings year after year and still keep his show on the air. The answer is quite simple, and Rush Limbaugh talked about this for years. Rush Limbaugh of pointed out that CNN and MSNBC, now called MSNOW also had very low ratings for years. Hardly anybody watched them. There were regional TV programs in New York and Los Angeles that had more people watching than CNN and MSNBC did from the entire nation. Rush Limbaugh pointed out that their ratings didn't matter because those shows still made lots of money. That is they had high paying corporate sponsors. The big insurance companies, drug companies and auto companies all spent fortunes to advertise on CNN and MSNBC even though hardly anyone saw their ads…
