Meet Alex, Ella, Olivia, and Gabe, four seniors at MHS in the Original Civic Research and Action (OCRA) program, who are working on promoting conservation in our local community. They've chosen to focus their efforts on Salt Marsh Ecology due to the ecosystem being crucial in water quality control and flood mitigation. Over their two years focusing on this issue they have worked with students at the middle school and elementary school educating them on the inner workings of salt marshes and how they and their families can conserve it. This project has led to collaborations with the local schools, Students and Save the Sound.
