| 6/2/26 | ![]() How Small Businesses Can Use PR to Show Up in ChatGPT and AI Shopping Search | How Small Businesses Can Use PR to Show Up in ChatGPT and AI Shopping Search Ash interviews a small business PR coach Gloria Chao about how AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity are changing discovery and purchasing, with AI search taking traffic from traditional platforms and enabling in-app checkout via integrations with Shopify, Etsy, PayPal, Amazon, and Walmart. Gloria argues that AI recommends brands based on third-party trust signals especially earned media such as gift guides, magazines, podcasts, and product reviews rather than popularity or ad spend, making PR crucial for being "chosen," not just seen. She explains that Perplexity can quickly scrape real-time trends, generate timely pitch angles, and even suggest outlets to contact, helping founders DIY PR without agencies. Examples include founders gaining many features, a Today Show mention boosting AI visibility, and podcast appearances driving Gloria's own rankings. After testing it for weeks, they describe frustrations with its credit-based pricing (free 500 credits; $20/month with 4,000 monthly credits, easily depleted; $40/month offers 8,000) and tasks stopping when credits run out. They share uses including auditing an Instagram account to generate a 30-day content plan, creating and editing branded carousel creatives, and building a branded quiz/app with landing pages and PDFs via Manus agents and integrations (including Ivory and Telegram). They also detail integrating Manus with Meta Ads to analyze account performance, generate strategy, campaign setups, creative angles, CPL targets, and downloadable reports/presentations, and note an opportunity to join a Meta feedback call in exchange for one month of pro access. | 1/25/26 | ![]() ChatGPT Is Launching Ads: What This Means for Businesses | In this episode, host Ashley Boston breaks down OpenAI's recent announcement that ChatGPT is beginning to test ads in the US - and why this could be a major shift for advertisers and business owners. Ashley explores how ChatGPT's move into advertising mirrors the early evolution of platforms like Google, Facebook, and TikTok, and why this moment could represent a powerful first-mover opportunity. She dives into what makes ChatGPT ads different, including high user intent, contextual targeting, and conversational interactivity, and why this format could change how people discover brands online. The episode also covers what businesses should be doing now to prepare — from optimising websites and SEO for AI-driven discovery, to understanding how this new ad platform may fit alongside existing channels like Meta ads. Ashley also shares insights from Smart Marketer, and touches on other emerging ad platforms such as AppLovin, highlighting the broader shift happening across digital advertising. | 12/10/25 | ![]() Low-Tox, Size-Inclusive & Wildly Brave: The Story Behind Wild Body | In today's episode, I'm joined by Jade, founder of Wild Body – a low-tox, size-inclusive activewear brand born from one of the most terrifying seasons of her life. At just 33, a non-drinker, non-smoker and mum of four who was at CrossFit 5–6 times a week, Jade was unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney cancer after a "routine" blood test ahead of trying for baby number five. What followed was major surgery, the removal of her kidney, and a complete re-evaluation of what she was putting in and on her body. We talk about how that experience led her to question the toxicity of everyday activewear, why she couldn't find anything on the market that matched her standards, and how that frustration snowballed into creating Wild Body — a purpose-led, size-inclusive brand that's already building a deeply engaged community from day one. In This Episode, We Chat About: The moment everything changed How a simple pre-pregnancy blood test on Christmas Eve led to an ultrasound, an emergency CT scan and a shock kidney cancer diagnosis as a 33-year-old mum of four. Life after a radical nephrectomy What it was really like preparing for and recovering from major surgery, navigating fear as a parent, and processing her dad's previous cancer journey alongside her own. From "health-conscious" to low-tox obsessed How Jade moved from already being active and health-focused into a deeper audit of food, drinks, home products and clothing – including the activewear she was living in 99% of the time. The gap she couldn't unsee in the activewear market Why most "eco" or "bamboo" activewear options didn't cut it once she dug into how fabrics are actually made, and how that research led to the first spark of Wild Body. Building truly size-inclusive activewear (not just saying it) The reality of: Custom size charts (instead of a size 8 stretching to an 18) Designing squat-proof pieces for all sizes, not just a size 6 model Stocking 10 sizes as a startup and pushing back when manufacturers and designers told her it would "eat her margins". Bringing people along for the journey (before she even had product) How she: Started posting about Wild Body months before launch Took her audience behind the scenes to China, fabric selection and failed samples Used vulnerability, education and storytelling instead of just "here's the product, buy now". Turning followers into a warm, ready-to-buy email list The simple early-access + email waitlist approach she used so that when launch day came, people weren't just "aware" – they were invested. Launch day feels (and what actually happened) The nerves, the "no one's going to buy" thoughts, the first cha-chings coming through, and what it meant for her kids and husband to see months of hard work pay off in real time. Community, not just commerce The recurring content pillars that now shape Wild Body's brand: "I got cancer at 33 and learnt this…" – weekly educational posts to empower others, not just sell leggings. Appreciation Mondays – encouraging people to thank and acknowledge those who showed up for them in hard moments. Giving back: why $2 from every order goes directly to Love Your Sister and precision cancer research. Marketing lessons from a first-time founder What Jade has learnt about: The different vibes between Instagram vs TikTok Showing up daily with organic content Navigating the world of Meta ads (and why agencies are obsessed with the volume of organic content she's already creating). Trusting your own vision (even when others don't see it yet) From choosing unexpected brand colours and a lavender farm photoshoot, to ignoring "it won't work" on sizing — how Jade is learning to back herself and build a brand that feels like her, not a copy-paste of everyone else. | 5/28/23 | ![]() 46: Changes Coming to Conversion Campaigns | Meta has announced new changes to Website Conversion Events. What does this mean? You won't need to prioritise 8 Conversion events There is no need to turn on value sets to optimise for value The Aggregated Event Measurment tab will be removed, and I've already seen this within some ad accounts. You won't be required to verify your domain Previously, you had to verify your domain to prioritise for Eeb Events to confirm you own it. This won't be required. Although domain verification won't be required, I still suggest you do this for domain and link ownership. There is no need to select a conversion domain under your ad creative tracking. | 12/6/22 | ![]() EP 42: Lessons learnt from managing a $100k Ad Spend launch with Tash Gohari. | Tash first fell into digital marketing by way of being told that her journalism degree was a complete waste of time. So, she decided that marketing would her 'back up option'. After scoring her first role as a digital assistant straight out of uni, a spark was ignited and she instantly fell in love with all things related to online marketing. She's now found her place in the industry where she can make a real impact to people's lives by working as a Marketing Manager in a cutting-edge leadership development company, Your CEO Mentor. One of her main responsibilities there is to lead the strategy and the execution of their bi-yearly launches of their flagship program, Leadership Beyond the Theory. In October this year, they had their biggest course launch to date, with a $100k budget for ad spend. The results? $800K in revenue! While she enjoys the digital advertising side of things, she's a firm believer in having a holistic view when it comes to marketing, and looking at every point in the customer value journey. Outside of work, you can probably find her at the local café taking her dog, Jimmy out for a puppuccino date. Your CEO Mentor is looking for a Marketing Coordinator job description on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/3357039888. Hooked on Ads Unleashed?
