| 8/27/26 | PARTY FAVORS (1987) | Buck Flower’s Pineapple Pizza Empire | Sensitive Boy Sex Comedy Summer goes out with a failing stripper school, a hog farmer, a morality crusader named Dr. Percy Honeywell, and the least appetizing-looking pizzas ever caught on film. Buck Flower's Pop Tate wins a bankrupt pizza-delivery business in a card game. The catch: it sells only pineapple pizza, has basically no customers, and the van isn't even paid off. His solution is to put the stripper-school dancers to work delivering the pizzas. The pizza remains terrible, but after one accidental topless delivery, Pop and Elliot — the school's flamboyant proprietor — finally figure out what people are actually willing to pay for. We also try to reconstruct director Ed Hansen, a director with almost no public record at all — no interviews, barely any photographs, and one commentary track where Jim Wynorski mostly talks about Jim Wynorski. What's left is a strange trail from The Bullwinkle Show to advertising, documentaries, exercise tapes and a decade of cheap sex comedies built around failing businesses saved by women taking their clothes off. And every Friday, apparently, lunch at Musso & Frank. The movie itself gives us Buck Flower in a lead role, prank stripper-grams, a cop courtship on playground equipment, a guy who just wants a rubber duck, Honeywell running surveillance from inside a garbage can while wearing a beer helmet with a teddy bear head on it, and John F. Goff's Elliot dressed like Colonel Sanders on an inflatable alligator. Plus Battle of the Bands goes three rounds deep — Rodd Keith vs. Norm Burns, Exotic Adrian Street vs. Big Daddy, and disco Frank Sinatra vs. a children's version of "Disco Inferno" — along with Jonathan Winters being left unsupervised on a children's show to talk about bathtime. | 8/6/26 | THE PARTY ANIMAL (1984) | The Most Disgusting Sex Comedy Ever? | Continuing with our Sensitive Boy Summer, the gang dives into one of the sleaziest, stupidest, and most shameless sex comedies of the 1980s, The Party Animal (1984), the infamous tale of eternal virgin Pondo Sinatra and his spectacularly misguided quest to become the world's greatest ladies' man. Along the way, we uncover the film's bizarre production history, the unbelievable reshoots, and ask whether this forgotten cult oddity is merely offensive, fascinating... or both? PLUS: Battle of the Bands, Spencer proves once again that he's a moron, Heather somehow decides sharing a microphone with him is a good idea, and so much more! Cory's Youtube Channel! | 9/24/25 | S02E04 Boxer's Omen (1983) #214 | We hit the Shaw Brothers jackpot with the most insane film they ever produced — Kuei Chih-Hung’s The Boxer’s Omen (1983)! What starts as a simple boxing revenge flick spirals into flying severed heads, throat eels, Buddhist black magic battles, and crocodile strippers. Top-shelf mind-melting insanity. | 8/15/25 | S02E02 Gimme an F (1984) #212 | Movie Melt’s cheer squad is back on the megaphone for the booger-sugar-fueled camp comedy Gimme an ‘F’. Expect pom-poms, pee-pee-filled balloons, saucy Mad Max role-play, new wave cheerleaders, the Jan Hammer soundtrack, and enough dazzling dance routines to knock your pom-poms off. This criminally underseen gem’s got male cheerleaders breakdancing-in-wet-tightie-whities-while-doing-Gymkata-on-the-water-pipes — for a full five minutes — during a shower scene!! Give me a B! Give me an O! Give me an N-E-R! What’s that spell? BONE… errr, never mind! Plus: What We've Been Watching, our favorite documentaries, And More! Join our Patreon if you can! | 7/31/25 | S02E01 Vampiro: Warrior of the Night (1993) #211 | A wrestler, a madman with a super-powered rubber glove, and a space princess with an Ewok sidekick walk into a neon-lit fever dream. What do they find? Chubby motorcycle luchadores, bald men with ponytails, and an El Santo movie tailor-made for the early ’90s. This week, CDR beams with national pride as pleather-clad Canadian hero Vampiro sinks his fangs into the role he was genetically engineered to play: himself! | 7/17/25 | MM#210 Evil Toons (1992) | We’ve name-dropped him dozens of times… and yet this is our first actual Fred Olen Ray episode?! Unbelievable, but true. Carlo stays up way past his bedtime to tell us all about Evil Toons (1992)—a movie full of unkept promises. It definitely does have a haunted book, Monique Gabrielle, and 45 seconds of a bad scary wolf that’s animated though! Plus: Gary Coleman news, Heather rearranging magnets on her fridge in an effort to not lose her mind, what we’ve been watching, and so much more! Join our Patreon if you can! | 7/4/25 | MM#209 Traveling to Olympia (2001) | Too much gay crashed Matt’s hard drive (yes, another one!), and so our final 2025 Pride episode is dropping on the 4th of July. Fitting, because what’s more American than repressed senators dating twink heirs to a popcorn fortune? Just like this week's movie: Traveling to Olympia (2001), a queer shot-on-video headscratcher set in the Pacific Northwest—the Wakanda for Gays, apparently. We follow Johnny, a traumatized twink with a duffel bag and one facial expression, as he washes dishes, processes trauma, and parties at gay cowboy bars—with beautiful musical interludes from the PNW greatest crooners. | 6/11/25 | MM#208 Suroh: Alien Hitchhiker (1996) | Happy Pride! We get probed by Suroh: Alien Hitchhiker (1996)—the queer, trippy, E.T. sci-fi oddity about interdimensional lust, alien contact, and sexual awakening in the Arizona desert. Plus: A gay Battle of the Bands, Auntie Boy (!), orgone energy, what we’ve been watching, and more! Join our Patreon if you can! Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 246-4669! | — | ||||||
