About this episode

In this episode, the hosts celebrate their third anniversary by revisiting Shakespeare's Cymbeline with a reunion of their core troupe.

During the COVID-19 lockdowns, to deal with isolation and lack of live theatre, we started gathering some of our favourite people every Tuesday & Saturday night to read scripts over Zoom. We read all 38 Shakespeare plays in six months. Then we kept going. We decided to create mini-seasons featuring highlights from the canons of major writers across generations, plus a few bonus episodes thrown in. The program ended in 2021 but we still get together every March to mark the anniversary of our first reading.   In this episode, our third anniversary, we chose to revisit Shakespeare’s strange romance Cymbeline . Notable for its eccentric twists and rich cast of characters, it’s a great ensemble piece and our core troupe was thrilled to reunite and return to this beautiful story.   All of our readings are available to enjoy as full videos on our YouTube page but we’re also releasing them in audio form so they can be accessed through your favourite podcast app.   The Cast of Cymbeline (2023 Version) Imogen- Elizabeth Morriss Posthumus Leonatus- Elizabeth Yvette Ramirez Cymbeline/Sicilius Leonatus- Susan Bond Queen/Mother- Laura Hubbard Pisanio/Second…
