NC State Mens Basketball Secures Key Transfer: Eemeli Yalaho NC State mens basketball coach Justin Gainey has secured his fourth transfer commit, Eemeli Yalaho, a six-foot-eight junior forward from Washington State. Yalaho averaged 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game last season, with a impressive 39.8% three-point shooting percentage. He brings a much-needed frontcourt boost to the Packs offense. Yalahos transfer to NC State follows his time at Texas Tech, where he played alongside Darrion Williams, who later transferred to NC State and became a top scorer. Both players share a streaky but effective three-point game. With Gaineys new system, Yalaho avoids the hype that Williams faced and is expected to help address last years size issues at the four spot. Yalahos addition to the roster brings distributor skills from the post and better athleticism in transition, which could improve rebounding in Gaineys new scheme. With three transfer shooters now on the roster, Yalaho is poised to stretch the floor and punch inside, setting the stage for a revamped Pack ready to run the ACC.
