About this episode

The episode discusses Jesus' early ministry and His connection to the prophecy of the Messiah as a healer.

Jesus establishes His ministry early with a profound statement about being the fulfillment of a prophecy from Isaiah 61:1-2. This connects Him to the hope of a coming Messiah who would also be a physician for the people. Jesus tells the people gathered to hear Him that instead of accepting His blessings, they would shout at Him while He hung on the cross, "Physician, heal yourself!". We must decide if we will allow Jesus to heal us or if we are going to ignore Him as the Savior of the world and be lost in sin. In season 7, titled "Doctor Luke & The Great Physician", I have a unique offer relating to this series in the book of Luke.
