About this episode
An honest interview with Suki Jones about her addiction memoir and the journey of sobriety.
A terrifically honest and open interview with Suki about her addiction memoir, "Sea, Swallow Me." I read it in 24 hours, and I found it to be a wonderful encapsulation of what addiction is like and what comes after. We laugh hysterically over how we CANNOT stop ourselves from telling random people we are sober (BevMo hates to see us coming), how music anchors us in time, how we absolutely wear out songs by obsessive repetition, and our gratitude for how drastically our lives have changed. I do feel it's important to put a warning on this episode: we talk about drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, and sexual assault. And despite all those heavy topics, I promise, this is an episode worth tuning into.
